Hi - I've observed very strange battery behaviour with my Kaiser, and I wonder if anyone has any ideas.
When I use it with my Claro SIM (GSM/EDGE 900MHz), battery life is perfectly normal. When I insert my colleague's VIVO SIM (GSM/EDGE 850MHz), the battery drains so fast that the unit heats up. Still, the signal bars are 'full. Has anyone ever seen such a thing?
Another thing I notice is that when I use the VIVO SIM, the 'Kaiser interferes with conventional cordless phone (with a very annoying 'bzzz' sound). The same thig doesn't happen with my Claro SIM.
I checked the band settings (manual, and the right frequency is selected). Network selection is automatic.
I know that VIVO requires its customers to enable a service they call SmartMail, which is their data package. Could it be that when this service is disabled the SIM keeps trying to exchange data with their server and is blocked? I cannot think of any possible explanation.
The battery drain is such that in 10min it drops from 100% to 90% and in 50 min from 100% to 75%.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andre
PS: Both operators (VIVO and Claro) are in Brazil
I noticed this strange issue with my captivate. When I am changing the network area/change to roaming, the signal disappears.
But when I insert a local sim signal appears and then I am able to my original sim too.
No help guys?
I Exchanged 5 HTC ONE Dual Sim phones(802d) and finally got a flawless device without gaps/dead pixels/camera problems. Today however, when I inserted a second sim in SIM 2 slot, it showed no signal in my house. I put the same sim in sim1 slot and it was working fine. When I got out of my locality, the sim2 slot got a 4 bar signal and was working without any problems but as soon as I came home again the sim2 lost the signal. Basically, the sim1 slot is working fine in my house with both the sim cards but sim2 is not giving any signal.
My questions:
1) Both the sim cards are giving me a normal signal in my house in SIM 1. But as soon as I insert any of them in sim 2, they are giving no signal. Is the sim2 slot damaged by any way?
2) If it's damaged, how is it(the sim2 slot) giving me a normal signal as soon as I leave my locality?
I WOULD REQUEST AS MANY USERS TO GIVE THEIR INPUTS AS I JUST HAVE 3 DAYS LEFT FOR MY 14 DAY REPLACEMENT POLICY. IF IT'S NOT A ISSUE, THEN I NEED NOT GET IT REPLACED.
HOPING ALL OF YOU HELP ME OUT HERE
anyone? I really need help
Hey there,
Does anyone has this model??
What the opinion about it??
Hi,
I have similar question.
Does anybody have this model?
Are there any issues like there were with S4 mini duos? Mainly network issue it was experiencing, dropping connection and never reconnecting until reboot, poor signal sometimes, etc.
Is the dual sim active-active like on S5 duos? In case you are in call on SIM1 and someone tries to call SIM2, do you get notification or it is sent straight to voice mail.
I'm really tempted by this model, to replace my old HTC HD2
Thanks for any input!

I have this one, currently the main problem for me is poor battery life, I have 3g/4g enable whole day to receive emails and at the end of the day te baterry is at about 50-40% . I did not noticed any issue with network. Regarding the dual sim I'm not sure, if I call from one sim to second sim it says that the number is not responding.
Cool, thanks for info. Friend has S5 and he isn't able to get even 1 day out of battery, so I'm prepared to get 2 days max out of it
Regarding the calls, I have found out that if you are on call on one sim, other one is disconnected, but what you can do is apply call forwarding on each of them (of course you need to pay for that) and then it will get redirected to active sim.
@squider: Im curious, can you tell if its possible to set 3g either on SIM1 or SIM3 (seccond one will have to be 2G).
What I mean if I have two SIM cards (3g on SIM1 and 2g on SIM2) and I'll finish network packet on first, do I have to phisically swap SIM cards, or only change settings, and set 3g to SIM2, and 2g to SIM1 ?

Yes, you can set in settings which sim should use 2G and which 3G..
I know that Cricket is part of the AT&T network but im having problems with my unlocked international version of the s6 (SM-G920i) . Yesterday i installed the sim card But i have low signal strength (2 bars) on the Network mode.LTE/WCDMA/GSM. this is the only mode that gives me 4g and it drains battery really fast; last night it drained about 20% of battery without any activity. WCDMA/GSM mode gives me a high signal strength But my internet is H+ instead of 4g.
how do i fix it?
is there something im doing wrong?
