Hi guys,
Since installed Nougat version my tethering doesn't work no more!
I tried both Pure and Resurrection roms, and tethering doesn't work both with wifi hotspot or usb.
When turn on wifi hotspot "errors" appear under "portable wi-fi hotspot".
When turn on usb tethering immediately it turns off by itself!
I used Pure Marshmallows rom before, and all worked fine!
Even with stock Nougat thetering looks working fine!!
I'm getting crazy!! Helps please??
I have t-mobile

I have t-mo as well and I have Nitrogen ROM. Tethering throws does not work for me either.
But I purchased and used WiFi Tether Router (By Fabio Grasso) and it works with no issues.

@mark300401 I don't know about Nitrogen but tethering is working on Oct-N 7.1.1 and PN has temporary fix here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70123369&postcount=31920 Check the very bottom of that post. Also I added the following line to the bottom of build.prop "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true" and that fixed it for me. Careful with the build.prop thing though if you're not experienced with it or you could get a bootloop.

Tells me that tethering works fine.

Your described procedure to falsh a modem is fully correct.
Did you ever try to switch Airplane mode on/off in such a situation?
Even more did you see at all any network by using the search functionality in that case?

But at your home you have again a network connection?
From where are you exactly?
Might it be an issue with base bands? 850/1900Mhz?
If yes, have a look at this thread:

No network or Sim registered after flashing juwe's v.5
Hey! Hope you are all well. I'm quite desperate to find out what may be the problem I describe below could be.
I just flashed Juwe's Rom and all went well untill my phone had finished booting up. My Galaxy S i9000 doesn't register it has the sim inside. I've tried a number of times to re-insert it with the same result. I have the signal bar in my notifications with a little x above.
Any help would be very much appreciated as I desperately need this phone for business.
Thank you in advance
hey once the same happened to me when i installed sh 3.6.1, after i install my sim wouldnt register, going back to the previous version my sim worked...so i changed my kernel to fugu and flashed 3.6.1 again everything worked fine... try this might help u !!

Seems there is a wifi issue when P7510 update to 3.2,maybe P7310 should wait

This P7510 wifi issue is only if you update OTA. I haven't heard of any problems when updating by flashing the complete firmware.

Does anyone here have a UK 3G tab? Or any other European 3G tab?
Yes mate . I have an Orange 3G Tab 8.9 with me right now, why ?
I just updated my french Orange 3G Tab (P7300) via Kies to KJ4, so far 3G and Wifi seem to work just fine.
bigbrovar, that was me who commented on your blog
still working fine, no WIFI issues. Seems a bit more responsive than with 3.1, less UI lag, faster rotate.
masterludo and fishton, i sent you both a PM.
can someone post a link where can i download for the p7300? thanks
@poisike you got your reply
If anyone else is interested, I can post my CSCVersion, SalesCode and Baseband.
Yep please do it
Alright, here you go:
CSCVersion: P7300FTMKJ5
SalesCode: FTM
Baseband: P7300BVKJ2
How does 3.2 compare to the overcome rom running the new kernel? Now that the lockscreen lag is fixed this thing rocks so unless I'm getting something big by upgrading I'd rather stick with what I have.

Fount it and downloading... but i'm on 3,5G connection at the moment, so it will take some time.
Thanks masterludo! Does your tab have a SIM lock? Any operator apps preinstalled?
Yes if the tab is from Orange, it s simlocked and has Orange **** by default
Yes it is simlocked, actually it was simlocked I could remove the simlock using a tutorial from the 10.1 forums
Actually with this update it has even more crapware installed as on 3.1. I uninstalled at least 6 apps (mostly games) and still looking what I can remove.
I can't tell anything about performance since I didn't install the Overcome ROM yet. Landscape mode is still laggy...

SIM lock is not in firmware, correct?
nope, the "unlock" remained after the update, it's in the /efs folder
Is this update also available for P7300? or is this just for galaxytab wifi edition. also any link where one can download the odin flashable version of this update?
This is also for the P7300, I flashed it earlier (see my previous posts).
Hi
Unfortunately I can't post messages to Hashcode's topic on new CM11 software for KF HD.
So I'd appreciate if anyone can submit 2 issues with this image:
1) Google Hangouts app crashes when I'm trying to connect using camera
2) Tethering via bluetooth (with my cellular - Motorolla Razr HD) doesn't work. I've used different combinations
of firmware settings, FoxFi, PDA Net for tablets - nothing helps.
Thanks

For using a cellular as bluetooth modem BlueVPN app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluexvpn) works fine for me with PAC-Man ROM (not CM11 yet), but in the playstore description the developer points that it doesn't work with Android 4.4 (so probably neither with CM11) due to an VPN issue. He includes this two links for more info:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=62714
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=61948
Which method/app do you usually use to connect you cellular as a bluetooth modem?

This is the first 4.4 KitKat (CM11) build and it's still in it's infancy. I would bet things will get worked out with further builds. I would say for those that want everything running just so, stick to a 4.3 JB build yet.

Can you guys help me with this issue?
My device is a XT1069 (Moto G - 2nd Gen - Dual SIM with DTV).
It was running stock firmware, with latest OTA update installed.
I had a problem while resetting and flashing my device back to stock firmware.
After facing a bootloop, I tried to flash Andro X (that is designed for XT1068, and not XT1069).
After successfully booting on Andro X, I noticed that my wifi was dead...
It did not activate, nor detect any wifi network.
Later on, I tried formatting every device partition with CWM, and re-flashing stock firmware again, booting successfully this time.
But still, my wifi remains dead!
Note that the wifi is gray, making it impossible to activate:

Does it have anything to do with the kernel or the wifi driver? How can I fix this? Any ideas?

have you tried different versions of your firmware? I noticed that you have September as your kernel? whereas my 1068 is July.
Also, have you tried installing/wiping via fastboot?

Yeah! I tried flashing and wiping via both fastboot and CWM...
Still, no luck!
PS: Reloading wifi driver by dialing *#*#526#*#* does not work either.
After typing it, nothing shows up...
just had a look at a couple of mentions that have fixed wifi
http://www.appsapk.com/wifi-fixer-app/
Install a Root Explorer (phone must be rooted), go to data\misc\wifi\wpa_supplicant.conf and rename that wpa_supplicant.conf to wpa_supplicant.bak, Restart the phone and see your Wifi Toggle work again.
this might help? http://www.smartmobilephonesolutions.com/content/android-wifi-wont-turn-on

wpa_supplicant was empty.
And I've already tried these solutions before as well, with no luck.
you would have to think that it's hardware related then? (although, only happening after a flash would point to software?).
Have you tried different firmwares?
did you tried flashing this firmware instead? (http //sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=36&file=947

I tried stock firmware (Blur_Version.21.11.18.titan_retbr_dstv.retbr.en.BR), tried Andro X and Stock ROM - XT1069 - KXB21.85-24
None of them fix it...
The problem of my dead wifi happened after flashing and booting Andro X.
the same for me...
MOTO G2 (2nd GEN) XT1068
Android 4.4.4
KXB21.85-23
21.11.23.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03
Also tried to flash Furnace Kernel... It didn't help. Wifi remains dead!
So, I flashed stock boot.img back in.
My kernel is now back to stock... And no wifi!

Hello everyone, hope you guys are having a great day! I've bought my phone (realme 8/4g) about a week ago, it's working fine except the wifi segment. Wifi gets disconnected and reconnects on it's own. I've tried to solve the issue through several methods:-
1. Checked the router as well as frequency (2.4/5Ghz), both of them are working fine as well as i'm running my primary device using the same network it didn't face any issue! Router--> Deco M4, dual unit [firmware is up to date]
2.did a network reset of the phone but in vain.
I've got an update few days ago, after that the issue has been occurring frequently. Before the update the phone was somehow stable! Please find me a soln. Also, provide me the best working gcam rn for this device!
Thanks a ton!

Nope, i was only using wifi then
after updating to android 12 version c.07, I can't login to my home 5G wifi. Before the update everything was without problem. Does anyone have any experience or knows the cause?
I have the Realme 8 5G and I also had the problem of disconnection with a TP-Link Deco M5 and the solution was to deactivate the mesh technology for my device from the deco app and thus the disconnection problem was solved
