Moto G 2nd generation internal ear speaker not working - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys:
I am contacting you as my Moto G 2nd generation (running android 6.0 with no custom ROMs) internal ear speaker is not working anymore. Until I'm able to find a replacement speaker, I was trying to use the Auto speaker app (sorry, I can't post links) in order to be able to answer calls using the external speaker and that works fine, but any time I get close to the phone while talking, the speaker ceases to work. The app has two ways of preventing the screen to go off when talking, but they are ineffective. Do you happen to know an alternate apps or an app that is able to leave the screen on while talking?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I will move your thread in the correct forum dedicated to Moto G 2nd for more relevant answers.
Good luck

Bluetooth Earpiece

I just purchased a bluetooth earpiece for my IIi in the hopes that I could stream music through it. APPARENTLY, the BT device only suppors the handsfree profile, which means all it's good for is to relay PHONE CALLS. I don't use the phone that often so it seems that I wasted my money. Anyone know a solution to get the phone to reroute music to the BT device if it's possible?
many possible solutions to your problem
There are many possible solutions to your problem and many software. Go to the following blog by Menneisyys (the expert!!) and look for a blog that tells you everything about redirecting audio to headsets.

You rock! I will definitely check that site out, thanks a bunch!
EDIT: Argh, I am an idiot. I tried a crapload of tweaks to get it to play on my earpiece when all it took...get this, was a push of the function button on the earpiece. The icon on screen immediately changed, and now I'm listening to Jingle Bell Rock at pretty decent quality on my headset. Thanks anyways peeps!
Great to be of help.. Merry Christmas... Now, don't you want listen to Jingle Bell Rock in Stereo instead of mono? It's also working fine now, just that you will have to find the correct hack for your phone.. It took me 6 months to get mine..
Guys, same problem here

Unable to find it on previously posted link

come on guys, use the search function... we are losing senior members because of this repeated questions...

[Q] Moto X, Touchless Control, and UCOnnect hands-free.

So, this may have been brought up already, I did try to search, but didnt come up with much.
So, i bought a Moto X, even after hearing the lenovo/google news. I figure that they cant ruin the device quickly enough to justify second-guessing my long and painstaking decision process.
Anyway, touchless control is pretty awesome. Ive been tinkering with it since i got it. I'm a long time android user, and have been using google now for some time. The problem is this.
I drive a 2013 Jeep, with a UConnect bluetooth hands-free system. It works for what its supposed to work for, i can make calls, stream audio, all is well. In fact its working better than it did on my old GNex. However, once I connect my motox to UConnect (that is, i get in, turn on the Jeep, and bluetooth associates), touchless control becomes unresponsive. In fact, it seems that even if i try to manually initiate a voice search, google now cant hear me. I can use the voice input for the keyboard, just not voice commands. It's almost like as soon as i'm paired to a bluetooth input, google now voice input/touchless control get turned off. Which to me seems odd.
I tried looking around in my settings, i cant seem to find a setting that tells the phone to do this. It just doesnt work.
Also, if i turn off bluetooth while the Jeep is still running, touchless/voice input starts working again.
I havent tried pairing it to another bluetooth headset to see if it does it then too, i'll update this thread once i've had a chance to try that.
Is this something others are experiencing? Is it supposed to do this for some safety feature, and I dont know it?
Thanks!
I don't have a vehicle with bluetooth, you may have better luck posting your question in the "Question and Answer" area.

Good luck with finding a fix!
Apparently the various signs and warnings telling me to post questions in the q&a section dont apply to me.
Thanks, I'll post over there.

[Q]Can the 2nd microphone be used as default

I recently ran into some hardware issues which resulted in me losing the main microphone of my Xperia Z (it literally broke off from the flex cable). I am now forced to use the headset for every call i make, but this usually results in me missing a lot of calls. I did a service test and discovered that the 2nd (noise cancellation) microphone actually works and it made me wonder if there is a way/software i can use to use the 2nd microphone as the primary to make calls, voice commands& recording.
Any help will be appreciated greatly

[Q] Need a help with something very strange

Hi All,
I do apologize if I made a topic in wrong place. Moderators, please transfer it to the right one if so.
Here is the usual problem that I'm having with my HTC ONE M7 Verizon and BMW X6M 2013. After each call, when I have finished conversation and clicked on the hang up. Its makes a huge NOISE to indicate that call is being finished. I have BMW Explorer that I went thru BMW CPU settings to check if its somehow BMW related problem. Sounds aka Noise is like Big "DONG" sound, and its 10 times louder then actual voice on the phone. I have checked with other model of BMW, that sound still exist, still the same, but MUCH MUCH lower volume, you barely can hear it at all. Some version of BMW it doesn't exist at all. All models were tested 2013+. Different phones like Iphones, works just fine. So I'm looking for an option in the phone itself to turn it off. Its not locked to Verizon its developer unlocked, and its not rooted (which could be done). Please help out, so desperate to get rid of this sound.
The sound you are hearing is coming from your car, not the phone. If its really bothering you, stop by your local BMW dealer and see if they can do anything to help. There are no settings on the phone for this.

Well I tried they have looked at me like I'm asking for a new Ferrari
Then you might want to post on some of the BMW forums or find a service tech that actually knows how to configure the more advanced functions of your bluetooth connection (not just how to pair with a phone...).

headphone jack problem
I come with that problem too. It result it's a conector problem like it is said in motorola formus:
Thank you for providing me this information. I have gone back to our developers and confirmed a couple things. There are 2 different standards for headsets AJH and OMTP: http://recapmycalls.com/faq-page/headset-standards-ahj-omtp/. The most common is the AJH standard. The Moto G 2nd Generation is only compatible with AJH headsets. The 1st generation Moto G was able to automatically switch between AJH and OMTP. The Nokia headsets that you have use the OMTP standard and aren't compatible with the new Moto G 2nd Generation. I hope that clears things up. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'll be here to help however I can.
I'll buy an adapter this week and see if it works. If anyone can confirm that with an adapter work let us know here. thanks

Same here, touching the headphones sometimes get disconnected. seems to be h/w related issue.
