can latest cm13 snapshot dated 21-12-16 be dirty flashed over previous snapshot cm13 15/11/16 using twrp 3.0.2-3 recovery. For OTA update do we need to change the twrp recovery or it will install itself without any problem.

Hi!
So I get nightly updates to my CM 12.1 LG L90 D405. It automatically boots to TWRP but gets some error during flash. Then I go to cmupdater folder and flash it manually but it still fails. I've added screenshots and logs where it first automatically installed and the it failed by flashing manually.
I have the same since I have been using cm 12.1
I download and flash new builds manually.
A year back I installed XZDualRecovery with a Lollipop ROM from xda. Now I want to update to resurrection remix for marshmallow. I wanted to know what is the path to follow?
Flash twrp 3.0+ (can I directly flash it on my current phone using twrp 2.8 on XZDualRecovery?).
and then the kernel?

You can flash RR rom using twrp 2.8 and if you want to update twrp then flash the twrp 3.0.2 zip after flashing the rom.You don't need to flash any other custom kernel on RR.It's stable.

Thank you for your response. The rom is working perfectly.
Hi guys! This guide will allow you to get a taste of Nougat without erasing your daily driver
WARNING: ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING BAD THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE (e.g. your phone magically turning into a red brick)
AND MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS DECRYPTED (HAS FORCED ENCRYPTION DISABLED)
REQUIREMENTS
A Decrypted OnePlus 3 with an Unlocked Bootloader and TWRP
Patience
INSTRUCTIONS
Make a backup
Download the files (multirom, cm14, gapps, etc)
Edit the cm14 rom zip using this link (all credits go to him)
Flash MultiROM Recovery and the multrom zip in twrp (and delete twp themes as they cause problems)
Reboot to recovery
Enable no-kexec workaround
Select MultiROM then Add ROM
Flash CM14 and gapps
ISSUES
Flashing SuperSU causes bootloop
Great work!
But what if i want to update cm14? Should i only edit the update script and then flash it?

Yes just edit it and flash in on your cm14's rom slot
If I am on cm14 can I install multirom simply over cm14 and Flash cm13 as Second Rom?
i think the main problem is that you need oos 3.2.6 firmware for cm14 rom
and 3.2.4 firmware for cm13 roms.
or am i wrong?

Official CM13 = 3.2.4 (i think)
Sultan CM13 and CM14 = 3.2.6 required

Ah I mean 3.2.4 I wrote a '1' upps
After last update of OS lost root.
Had to install TWRP again, after install got into bootloop, flushed OP recovery again but had no access to recovery at all.
Finally flashed latest version of Oxygen-OS, 4.1.6 running on Android 7.1.1
I understand sometimes newer versions of TWRP might not work well with latest OS
All this said.... what would be the safest yet most up to date TWRP version for the OP3T?
3.1.1.0 i believe or you can flash Blu-Spark TWRP
I'm using Blu Spark's TWRP latest and it works wonderfully with OOS / FreedomOS v4.1.6 It's TWRP v3.1.1-x Blu_Spark v37 for OP3 & OP3T
TWRP v3.1.1-x Blu_Spark working with both custom and stock rom
Currently running LineageOS 15.1 nightly 5/28 with TWRP 3.2.1-0 on my Nexus 6 (Sprint). No root.
For sometime now, I haven't been able to successfully install an OTA update. About the time I started having issues, I accidentally installed SuperSU. To correct and remove the SuperSU install, I replaced the boot and system images by flashing stock Android 7.1.1 (N6F27M) including stock Android recovery. I then flashed TWRP and Lineage back and waited for the next OTA update. Once I received the update notification, I proceeded through the usual update process and when it reboots to recovery, it just halts in TWRP. I'm not getting a Status 7 error so I'm not sure what's wrong. (See attached image).
I personally don't have any issue downloading the nightly zip and flashing the update that way. It just bothers me that something isn't right and not working as it should.
Any one encounter this? Are there any solutions? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Update: Just flashed 6/3 nightly.
