I switched an LG G4 from AT&T to T-Mobile. Lost my delayed, no answer call forwarding setting. I can get the service codes to work such as check balance (#225#) and display IMEI, etc. But I can't get any of the call setting MMI codes to work.
Got the codes from here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4041
But: **61*{phone number}**5# produces the error:
Call forwarding
Connection problem or invalid MMI code
I went into Mobile Network Settings and tried registering T-Mobile LTE, and T-mobile GSM networks and didn't make a difference. Everything else is working fine (like LTE data and service codes like I mentioned above.)
I'm guessing the AT&T doc on MMI codes is incorrect, at least for this model phone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a TN Ty II that was locked to the Orange UK network. I succesfully unlocked it and it has been working fine on T-Mobile(Virgin) PAYG for about 4 months. Now it will not receive or make calls, but signal on T-Mobile is fine, connects to the netork, no problem. If I insert an Orange PAYG Sim the phone works fine (In/Out). Virgin have said that maybe my number is "Black Listed" and that they would send me a new SimCard with the same number!! Seems strange if my number is BlackListed. My question is When a network provider provides a customer with a phone do they log the phones IMS number? Could they then stop that phone working on other networks, or request that other networks block the phone with that IMS?
Any help appreciated.

I entered *#7465625# and it says
Network Lock OFF
Network Subset Lock OFF
SP Lock OFF
CP Lock OFF
Yet when I put my T-Mobile SIM in, it says EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY
When I got to SETTINGS, NETWORKS, MOBILE NETWORKS, NETWORK OPERATORS
it searches
Then when I choose T-Mobile or T-Mobile Orange
It says "Unable to register on network"
And then immediately says "connected to network"
Then back on the desktop it shows "emergency calls only"
Can anyone help please?
can you check for your IMEI number *#06#
How does that number help?
I was going to put it on here, but a quick Google came up with:
"i would never give my imei no. out to anyone the reason is that the imei is the identification of the phone a bit like a chassis no. on a car now if you give your imei no. out then there could be a chance your phone can be cloned i.e copied ! so if someone else has the same phone thats been stolen the imei no. can be transferred to the stolen phone its obviously highly illegal but there are some dodgy people out there who can do this"
So I'm hesitant to give it out on here
Do you have any idea what can be done to sort my phone?
Thanks

Problem sorted was sold black listed phone. Claim made through papal to seller and being returned.
I just purchased a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900A), full-price, off-contract, from AT&T Wireless. I used an existing GoPhone (prepaid) account/phone number to activate the phone. The phone works (voice calls) with the AT&T SIM. However, I want to use the phone/device on aioWireless. I have a microSIM for aio. I have purchased an unlock code and followed the unlock instructions. I received a "Successful unlock" message after entering the 8 digit network code. However, I cannot make phone calls (or use the data plan) when the aioWireless SIM is installed. When dialing a number with the aio SIM, I get a recorded message that the service has been deactivated, and to contact AT&T.
When I try to verify whether the phone has truly been unlocked by typing *#SIMLOCK# nothing happens. If I then push the CALL button, I then get the message: Connection problem or invalid MMI code.
Any clues what is going on?

Do you maybe have to use different APN settings for the two networks?

I have no idea.
I would look up the APN settings for AIO and input those (Settings>Connections>More networks>Mobile networks>Access Point Names)
You could always just call AIO customer service or walk into a store and they should be able to help you out.

I thought APN is just for data and has nothing to do with his inability to place calls! especially that he is getting" service deactivated"
I would check the AIO account if its working first.

APN is indeed simply meant for DATA and MMS
Your phone is functional with TEXT message and CALL's WITHOUT even a single APN setting set up
The main problem here is compatibility. OR the SIM card
SOMETIMES you have to leave the sim card inside your phone for at least 5- 10 minutes
At one time it took me 20 minutes for a sim card to be recognized, then I got 4G
It depends on the network.
But if all fails, just call your new network and try to get a new sim card
As long as your phone is fully compatible, and you know it, there are ways around it.
Hope this helped!:good:
The *#SIMLOCK# and various variants of it no longer works starting from the GALAXY S3 and Above (Not even all S2's accept this code)
Hi all,
I just received my new watch, I love it so far and the battery life is great.
I got a new sim for the watch (prepaid sim) and I can call and pair my watch via data.
I do have a problem when trying to enable call forwarding option from the watch itself.
I get on the phone (LG V10) the following error -
"Call forwarding, Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
When I enable call forwarding directly from my phone to my watch it is working fine but I want to have the option to do so from my watch in case I forget the phone and
can't reach the phone to enable call forwarding directly.
Thanks in advance for you help,
____

What version of the watch are you using? The AT&T version (W200A)? I wonder if it is related to your service/network provider on your phone. Which provider are you using? Which prepaid SIM for the watch? I'm using the AT&T version of the watch(with a Truphone SIM) and Cricket (which uses AT&T network) on my phone without issues. I wonder if the call forwarding codes sent to a phone on the AT&T network would cause problems for Sprint or Verizon, if that is your provider.
LG also has call forwarding app that may help, but I haven't tried it. Link is below.

Hi,
I got the W200 unlocked version, its the European version since I don't live in the state.
I was thinking about the option that the watch prepaid sim not supporting Call forwarding but I'm not doing call forwarding from the watch to the phone, its vise versa.
The phone sim is not from the same cellular provider as the watch sim.
The only thing I can think of is what you mentioned that the watch is sending a call forwarding code that the phone doesn't understand.
I'm not an expert in the matter but it could be that if the watch sim does not support call forwarding it will not send the proper code to the phone as well.
P.S.
I love the app you sent on the link for Call forwarding, its really nice.

I'm guessing you get the same error with the LG app? If it's a MMI code issue you may be able to use an automated app that works with Android Wear to initiate the call forwarding. Check out the thread below....
