Question about converting Chinese version (EVA-AL00) to international (EVA-L19)? - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

I know something like this was asked before , but i've got confused and need help with that .
i have Chinese Dual sim version EVA - AL00 and i want to convert it to international dual sim version EVA-L19.
Is that possible ?
I've unlocked bootloader , i also found Software for L19 (all needed files : recovery, boot, userdata, firmware) . i even found Nougat (android 7.0) firwmare ..
So , can i cross flesh them ? and how can i do that?
L19 firmwares
http://huaweidevices.ru/category/huawei-p9-eva-l19 (marshmallow files)
http://www.gizrom.com/android-7-0-emui-5-0-huawei-p9-eva-l19-2/ (nougat files)

*#*#2846579#*#*
And then update from sdcard doesn't work!

use adb/fastboot to flash system, boot, cust and recovery image from L19 marshmallow and next flash with sd card method nougat update

Anyone has tried this?
and what commands do i need? fastboot flash boot/recovery/ect?
i don't really care about nougat at this time , i just need international rom on this .
I'm almost ok with this rom too , but if there is a chance...

Yes and thats all and after flashing make factory reset

Hmm , you did that before?
i mean in theory i understand it's possible and i did something similar to other brands (like htc m7) years ago , but don't really want to brick this one , because i really like it
anyway what's order ?
1) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
2)fastboot flash boot boot.img
3) fastboot flash Userdata ?? (don't think i've ever used this one before)
4) fastboot flash system update.app
this one confuses me more then others, because there is only "update.app" and not system.img or something like that ...

Ok so i've bricked it , because fastboot flash system update.app didn't work because of error
"targed data reported max download size ..."
no i'm just waiting for huawei Erecovery to download file

Install Adb/Fastboot, download lastest Marshmallow ROM for L19, download and extract Huawei Extractor, extract update.app with Huawei Extractor(system, boot, recovery, cust image), connect phone to pc with enabled debugging and flash images with commands :
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot reboot
After flashing make factory reset.

Huawei Erecovery reinstalled software with no problem, so there is still a chance..
I was excepting exact that thing .
now our goal is to find system.img or fastboot command to flash update.app , installing boot and recovery was quite easy and had no problem with it after i unlocked bootloader (again)

I've unlocked bootloader
then connected phone with fastboot mode (power off , then Vol down and plug usb)
and then i flashed boot and recovery which caused soft-bricking (bootloop) , because boot/recovery was for L19 and system still was AL00 .
i just need to flash system.img somehow and it will work ...

I'll try that too , but without system.img , or update.app flashing command which i don't know , i'm most likely stuck with this

I wanted to try changing oeminfo and then flashing again , but after flashing firmware with Erecovery , it relocked bootloader and i don't really want to got same processes again , i mean unlocking bootloader will reset device and i'm tired of removing HIXX crap and installing google things (esspecialy contacts)
if there is at least 90% of chance with flashing L19 firmware , then i'll do that , but for now i think i'll stuck with this , at least for some days

Anyone with more info about this stuff?

I did converted AL00C00 to L19C432..... Everything working fine.... Anyone interested.... I can share.... It z quite simple....

Hi, could you share the steps to do the conversion.? Many thanks

My Phone is CRR-UL00 Middle East Version .... i flashed roms of CRR-L09 Chinese Version .... that rom doesnt have oem unlock option in the developers option . therefore my device is frp locked and flashing anything in the bootloader mode will fail . thats why i require a twrp backup of the system partition on the CRR-UL00 .

Try a factory reset for finger print
All,
Please do not discuss nor recommend using someone else's TWRP backup on your device. You're just asking for a phone brick to occur.

That may be the case for certain situations, but if there's a case of many people bricking their phones over some info found on here that they think SHOULD work without it properly being tested over dozens of situations, that wouldn't be good at all.

i can´t remember where i´ve found those information. i had bookmarked the bing-translated site some time ago but then deleted it since it ended in some nonsense discussion.
it was mostly about an "update" to MM, where people tried to change the phone localization from UL00 to L09 and update to B303 but failed and then used the MM TWRP Backups of some others.
Some ended in an bootloop and others had a corrupt system with FRP lock. I couldn´t tell if this happened because of corrupted backup files or because the users f****** up the recovery process.
Bing couldn´t translate everything to make sense.
They were lucky that they made a backup of the original system and so they were able to get back a fully funktional system.
i just wanted to warn you
I was running the L09C432B303 MM Beta and tried a method to rollback to B145, it was the method where you get a B114 Full OTA and flash the system.img, recovery.img, cust.img and boot.img however it didnt work I I restored my TWRP backup, however since then my version number in settings shows as
CRR-L09C900B303
Does anyone know how to get this back to C432??
i have rollback now and its realy easy.
make fallow:
install adb
download fallow:
HuaweiUpdateExtractor and Firmware 145 (when you will update 303 too)
Bring your phone in fastboot mode (make it of and hold power down and power)
install and open Huawei Update Extractor and open the FW 145
extract fallow data:
boot.img
cust.img
recovery.img
system.img
rename it so how i have named it and flash it with adb to your Phone
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot reboot
When you will stay at 145 you can make now a Hardreset in recovery mode when you will update to MM let it boot to lollipop and go to update manual / local and update your Phone with MM update.zip
when its down go to recovery and reset your phone.
Ready

That isnt a rollback - you'll find that when on B145 you cant activate security settings such as fingerprint ID. All it does it allow you to reinstall MM Beta Update...nothing more

Fixed.....I think my downloads were corrupting on my laptop...finally fixed by downloading full B145 firmware...extracting boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img, userdata.img, system.img using the huaweiupdateextractor tool and flashing them via fastboot, once that completed I used the same firmware to by putting in /dload/ folder and when that completed I flashed the b303 update...now my region is back to C432 and I updated to B321 version on MM
Difference?

That´s interesting, however anyone knows what´s the difference between C432(Europe) and C900(Global)?.
I´m asking because I updated C432B145 to MM and ended up in C900B303(now on C900B321). Only issue so far is that LTE band 4 is not working, but don´t know if it was before updating to 6.0, as I was using the phone in Europe(LTE B3/B7).

Ok
You can not solve this problem by using mic file.ok
You can flash the complete stock .
By the
Fastboot flash zip (file name).zip
First the update.zip
And then
Data file to your local.ok

My recoverys: TWRP (installed on recovery2) and Stock EMUI Recovery (installed on recovery)

Hello, is the FRP status on fastboot mode LOCKED or UNLOCKED
if it's UNLOCKED then you can unbrick it using fastboot to flash boot.img system.img and do a full wipe of your data partition.

I already booted, that's good news!
Now I've got a problem. The famous unbrick guide everyone uses - the firmware is buggy for me.
Fingerprint scanner doesn't work - camera doesn't work and audio doesn't work.
I think this is a problem with the firmware as they are more models of the PRA-LX1?
Btw, how do I find mine?
Thanks
My model is the Europe unlocked dual sim one

I'm experiencing the same thing right now with my PRA-LA1 and the only way that I found to make it works is to install a TWRP recovery and root it. But I have a lot of bugs after that I've already created a thread for that if someone can help
[Help] Bugs after rooting PRA-LA1

Flashed android pie firmware and now bricked my device need your help guys

my variant is LLD-L21C185 and i did the most stupid thing I flashed a pie firmware which was for LLD-L21C636 and now i am stuck with bricked phone.
bootloader : unlocked
frp: unlocked
Fastboot mode is accessible
I tried to flash twrp with command fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img result is sucessful but i can not load it.
it loads with stock recovery no matter what.
normal start is loading erecovery
i tried to download oreo rom (lld-l21c185b138) from erecovery but update fails at 5% every time.
i also tried the dload method with sd card but did not succeed .
can anybody tell me a way to get back to oreo with fastboot commands.
try fastboot reboot recovery, or fastboot boot twrp.img
Try to flash manually this files from oreo firmware: system. img, ramdisk. img and kernel. img via fastboot

i tried flashing ramdisk img with fastboot flash ramdisk RAMKDISK.img and i get remote: partition length get error
however fastboot flash kernel KERNEL.img flashes successfully

Have you flashed Pie rom of GSI or EMUI based? If its EMUI based some partitions have changed from EMUI 8.0 to 9.0

First off starting another thread about the same issue is never a good idea and is not in keeping with forum etiquette . https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/help/how-to-repair-ramdisk-partition-t3923406
IMHO you will not repair this phone without testpoint flashing using IDT and board software.
Google it, not too hard but not for the feint hearted either, requires opening the phone to 'earth' the testpoint for flashing.

I guess you are right the only way to fix this is to flash test point...................... my phone is still under warranty period.......... should I sent it to them or should I get it open and repair from local shop?
and how can I delete my duplicate thread

I tried but it did not worked
I send it to honor repair service center and now its good as new again :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
after sending it to honor service center the phone is back to life and working fine but I noticed that both imei number and Serial number are changed and bootloader is locked again. My previously saved bootlaoder unlock code is not working to unlock bootloader. What could be reason behind changing the imei number and serial number ? does anybody knows about it?

More than likely they just changed the motherboard, same case but different guts, so to speak.
Cheapest and fastest way out for them.
