It has the 32, 64 and the special edition with 128gb and 4gb ram model, my its a 64gb model. But be aware the MIUI touch response its REALY different from other smartphones even the most simple ones, its precise, but it has a irritating touch lag (aka: touch response), also it struggles on horizontal swips. You Will notice that if you are like me, someone realy demading when it comes to smartphones..

the custom Roms in this forums are the same for the 32 Gb and the 64 Gb versions?

At least Roms that I've seen. It reads in the OP.
CM works with both.

I don't think there is any difference between 32GB and 64GB versions. The difference is only in RAM and storage, the chipset and rest hardware is the same, so the custom ROMs will do in both versions.

Unofficial ROMs have no official support for the device they are running on. Official ROMs are linked to their official sources on the phone's website. For eg. All the devices on the list on download.cyanogenmod.org have official support for those devices.

Hi, I noticed that I can't unlock the phone using the fingerprint at boot. I have to insert my pin and only after that I can use my fingerprint to unlock the phone. Is this normal? I'm on official global developer rom

No sim recognised
why when I flash a custom rom the sim, any slot it is , isn't recognised but when I am on the miui it works, I also backuped efs from miui, flashed a custom rom and than restored efs, but doesn't change anything...(sorry for my bad english...)

It's fine, the i9220 is what the note is called in China (and probably that is why MIUI uses it). The hardware is the same.
Also, I tried it out myself a few times and it's a fully working ROM Don't forget to flash gapps though!

Maybe we'll have some hope, as I've flashed the China Developer Rom (5.12.24 it is based on Android M), I can unlock the screen by press the capacitive home button. But I don't know if it's a bug or a new feature yet.

I'm actually Chinese, I got these from some post on official Miui forum (www.Miui.com) and baidu.com forum both of them are popular forum in China.
Forget to tell you, You cannot easily downgrade from 5.12.24(still doable but little harder) since the partition table is different from older versions.

Why dont you use kernals which have DT2W double tap screen to wake rather than flashing new rom. Stellar kernal is good with moderate battery

1) DT2W kernels are generally battery hungry... but I will try the one you mentioned
2) I am flashing the rom for extended system partitions. I know there are scripts which do the same but lot users faced problems with fastboot and miflash. An official merge from xiaomi is reliable.
3) Double tap on hardware buttons to wake, if implemented, might save more battery than DT2W on screen.

Hi.
The earpiece is behind the screen. In fact is a piezoelectric "speaker" that makes the whole screen vibrate.
Whe you put the phone in contact with your ear, you can hear everything clearly enough.
Quality-wise is not the best sounding earpiece I've ever had, but certainly not worst. So not bad solution at all.
My personal observation is the developer ROM has considerably diminished "speaker" quality over the Chinese stable. I found this from talking on the stable ROM, maybe an hour or so on multiple domestic calls (USA). I flashed the developer ROM (because, apparently I get board easily), but after a couple of calls, about 10% of that I had planed, my ears were absolutely drained from the experience and I was continually repeating myself because my caller had difficulty comprehending my words, even though they were of the everyday variety. Upon returning to the stale ROM, all was good with hearing and speaking, including several calls to the some of the same people I had conversations with on each iteration. (stable/developer/stable).
I don't have "permission" to root yet, so haven't tried the eu ROM.
This, just in case someone would like to know some of the hidden differences in the ROMs.

Does an unlocked bootloader means no OTA updates for untouched CN stable/dev ROM devices?

Yes, the unlock permission expires after a month. You can always revert back to stable MiUi whether your BL is locked or unlocked. You just gotta flash the global stable update.

My unlocked device will be bound to my MIUI account somehow? If I choose to revert back to CN official stable, will my BL be locked again, and unrooted with OTA updates possible?

Welcome always! Also, if you revert to global stable, your unlocked state will be maintained along with the granted root access. Because the bootloader and root access are core files or what you'd call as components of the phone's firmware. So, flashing MiUi won't affect the firmware files. To be honest, I've never tried it so you might be doing this at your own risk, but I had a Redmi 2 and I did exactly what I told you to do. It worked perfectly for me as the redmi 2 had an unlocked BL out of the box. But this whole 'Unlock the bootloader' thingy started from the Redmi Note 3. So just be careful while doing this.

Yeah, right. I don't have any idea about the OTA updates but I recently looked on Mi forums and saw a thread claiming a stable nougat update that'll roll over soon through the OTA. Also, Mi5, Mi Max are on the way to development of Nougat updates.

I think this is not quite right, as I read the Unlock thread on the MIUI site, you can only unlock one device per month. I didn't see anything that leads me to believe the permission itself expires. As a matter of fact @underlines shared that he obtained unlock permission a few years ago for another Xiaomi phone and that he was able to unlock other phones without needing to request permission again.

Hi there!
I previously told you that OTA's won't tamper with the firmware files, but while I was browsing out on some Mi forums, it seems that the explanation I gave is wrong ( for the locked devices). The OTA's try to relock the bootloader and may hardbrick the device. So, please be careful while doing anything because the Mi Mix doesn't come at a small price and plus it is a limited edition concept device.

Is there any chance of getting Cyanogenmod, AOSP, or any other Android variant in the future? Or is there something that prevents this, and keeps it locked into MIUI?
Hello, I wan't to flash my phone. But I don't know how to determine for which market my device was. Can I flash eu rom for if I suddenly have china version, or it may bring to a bootloop?

Best rom rom for p9 lite

Hello guys , I am a newbie and I want to discover the modding world. I have already a unlocked bootloader a twrp recovery and the root . Now , i have to install a rom but I am undecided , so i want to ask to You : someone can tell me which is the best in battery , in performance , in customizability and all is important in a rom ? Thanks a lot for the people who reply
Sadly, due to Huawei's terrible choice of closing the bootloader unlock website, everybody stopped dveeloping roms. The only thing you can do is to use Elite Rom. Custom roms have bugs. I wish this Meticulus guy didn't leave the community. Blame xda
Now it's true that the site has been blocked but there are some Rom ( Cyanogen mode , Resurrection remix , paranoid , elite and others ) that already exists. I want to discover the quality of these ROMs .. someone that used can help me?

Personally, i wouldn't flash custom roms until they are stable. Stock roms are stable enough and may bring/may not bring extra features and stability in the rom.
If you want to try that badly RR, the use Meticulus's oreo rom. But be aware that there are bugs.
Yes , obviously the I ROMs are very bad but some of the existing ROMs are stable . Anyway I try this rom . You only use this rom or have you tried others?

Thanks GitHub coders
Hello XDA Fam, I've come to you for help.
Before it is asked, I did search around forums/threads but I really do have a hard time navigating around this site. And from what I seen there was no answers that I needed. Currently my Moto X4 XT1900-7 which I believe is on a factory image, no longer connects to my carrier. It is able to tell me the actual carrier but that's about it. The reason why I ask is because I'm on a completely stock image that's been updated via OTA.
I believe I lost my IMEI, carrier connection ( call it what you will) and orientation ( when you rotate your phone) after flashing this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x4/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3876195.
Since then I've been lost. Please if anyone has a recent up to date fix for this I'd be very keen to hear from you.
I've heard of injecting the IMEI, and tried but some guide I followed on XDA was unclear. And I'm not even sure if it would fix anything .. So again if you have a clear up to date guide on this, I'd be very appreciative.
Thankyou for your time to read through. Any info you may need I can try and provide. I hope that I haven't upset anyone with posting this in the wrong section. Or the fact that it's been asked before. If so you could attach a link for me to follow
Which ROM are currently on? Stock or any other? Also give your device model name(eg. XT1900-2 in my case)
-----EDIT-----
Sorry didn't read the whole problem. What is Device Model? (XT1900-2,XT1900-4,XT1900-7)
Did you try flashing the Stock ROM again? If not, grab one from this link - https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/payton/official/RETAIL/

You can try doing -
Flashing the firmware again(stock), then try locking and unlocking the bootloader again, then, installing PE or HavocOS or any other ROM you like.
Just give it a try!
