SuperSU working well but....... - SuperSU

I recently flashed SuperSU with twrp recovery(and got rid of kingroot) on my i-ball andi hd6. All seems fine. However, the pop-up window that show whenever an app requests for root permission does not show. Hence, I am forced to keep it as 'grant' by default. This essentially means that any app can get root permissions. I don;t want to keep it on grant. Can anybody help?

I kept it on prompt the first time used it.
The popup window doesn't show
That was the problem which I asked help for

If permission was denied there should be a record of it in SuperSU. I have ES Explorer and it was denied because it gave me a pop-up but I changed the setting to Allow in SuperSU and now I can use ES Explorer's root explorer feature with no problem.

[Q] Cant install, I/O issue?

I've been wanting to use Xposed for so long, but I was waiting for a easy click and done root method. Now that there is one for 4.4.2 on Verizon Moto X, I rooted and went to install xposed. I'm either getting a failure to get root, can't access write (which both could be that this is a temp no write root), or recently an i/o issue.
Post exact error messages, preferably in screenshots if you want anyone to try to assist you.
You should read through the FAQ threads pinned to the top of this section first though, as most common problems have already been addressed in them.
Sorry. Thought I should..

Have you verified that you have root? Try Root Checker.
If you have root, you should try mounting /system as R/W with a root enabled file browser like ES file explorer.
If either of those things fail, you should ask around in your device specific forum, as it's not a problem with the Xposed installer.
If you have a custom recovery, you can also install the Xposed framework with that. Just change the install method in the installer.

How do I do it with ES? I turned on the root part, but not sure what to after that, dosen't like theres any recent tutorials. I tried a Mount System R/W app, and it said it work, but same i/o error with Xposed installer. Guess I'll head over to the Moto X forum.

Click "Root Explorer" in the same spot where you enabled it (but don't click the toggle), then a little window will pop up. Click "Mount R/W" toward the bottom, then the RW bubble next to "/system." Click OK.

There is no root method for the GS5 on Lollipop.
so does that mean we can't go to an earlier version and root that?

Thanks, and that's ok but not the best of corse, what I have been able to do because the most important thing for me was/is a GPS app I use and it/was a root only app for storage to the sdext for offline maps. I get a popup now that directs me to another window that has a "hint" to select "0000-xxxx" on the next page, then I can select the sdext for storage and the app uses it (very happy) and it seems to happen for other file transfer tasks. I do not know if the app made this possible or if its just native as this was the first app I installed but it's there in any event. so now when my game files get to big for some other task I wish to do I just move the app data file to the sdext and do whatever and move it back when done. Again not the best but livable as I really like the 5.1.1/OJ3 ROM that's on my G870A, good battery live with quick operation after installing the Pro version of Samsung Package Disabler . I really like this phone! And let's hope this new exploit they found for the Verizon phones turns into something!
I also contacted at&t and stressed how important rooting can be (as for me it's a safety issue as there's bad service in the rural area I'm in) and suggested they might even allow it for an extra fee/no or paid support for doing it. I'm not holding my breath.
Thanks again, now I going to put my KFHD back to 8.1.4 and see if I can get OTG to work as this 870 is all I need for gaming now that I got glasses, I'm an old fart (chronologically)

How to get Package Disabler LG by OEM Developer to Work

Hi all,
I recently bought Package Disabler LG by OEM developer on the Play Store. But, when I launch it and attempt to grant it Admin Privileges, it just keeps looping the same menu for Admin permissions Iver and over again. I think I have the right LG Service plugin installed. Can somebody help with this issue? Thanks.

Hmm. I get to that screen and I can press the Activate but it will keep looping me in the same menu. I'll try a few things.
EDIT: I cleared the app's data and cache then moved it to my Internal storage. It works now

oh... do people still install apps on external SD card when they have alot GB of internal storage?
If it not work, you can try guide in this link. It work for me
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
Rather than bothering with paying for an app that doesn't always work properly or requires extra effort to get it working right just to end up causing more lag than it fixes in a lot of cases, just use ADB Shell command:

Magisk Hide

Magisk Hide doesn't seem to be working when it comes to my automobile's app, Uconnect. I'm rooted and now the Uconnect app states that I'm using an unsupported device. It worked before rooting.View attachment magisk_log_20181022_153305.log

THIS great module might help :fingers-crossed:
Destiple, can you confirm whether MagiskHide Props Config, which kamilmirza referred you to, worked?
Alternately, did you find another solution to get Uconnect working?
If you haven't already you're probably better off testing the brand new MagiskHide (rewritten from scratch) in the Canary builds (currently at build 18110).

That's very good to know. I'm nervous about running a Canary build on my normal phone, but I'll see if I can find a spare to test it on.
Will the new MagiskHide be on the next Magisk update, or is it several versions away from being in the stable build?
Try using the "Hide Magisk Manager" option in the settings. I was having the same problem, but after doing that and restarting I can use the Uconnect app again.

Good to know! I tried it - hiding the manager by itself wasn't enough. But once I added Uconnect to the apps being hidden, *then* the app finally loaded.
Of course, upon trying to log in, the app immediately crashes. Would that have anything to do with it being added to the MagiskHide list?

Hotel app Marriott detects Magisk and root

Security message when running an app
Hello I installed the Marriott app this morning, and when I go to run it, i get that security message along the bottom third of the screen, and the app shuts down. What is causing that?

Calling on the broader community to look at this, as I only start to have this today. I have also tried HuskyDG's Magisk Delta which is said to have brought back MagiskHide, but I failed. Thanks

Thanks. It does seem to work, except I didn't perform these following steps mentioned. Maybe they are not applicable to the latest 3.1.1 version on GitHub instead of play store? Also don't think I truly understand how to use template. Finally, there is a popup to ask me to uninstall Magisk? Probably not a good idea.
Under the Preference head, tap on Select hide methods -> Check API requests, Intent queries, ID detections -> Tap OK
Under the Template config head, tap on 0 additional apps invisible -> Check Magisk, LSPosed and HMA

It worked several times but has since been busted. Maybe I didn't set it up correctly?
I heard Magisk Delta by HuskyDG could hide it from detection. Has anyone been brave enough to try? Well, I tried and it didn't work. I tried the whitelist mode by leaving Marriott out of the SuList and many other banking apps too. But it still detects root. Marriott app version 10.13.1. Older version say 10.12.0 and below should survive.
marriott’s new version 10.15.0 appears to have fixed the over-detection issue. Shamiko is now 0.7.1. not sure if relevant
