Had my OnePlus 3T working fine with Stock ROM, wanted to try Nougat on OP3T. Adb Sideloaded the file "OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_018_all_1612281257_d8107904d7734248.zip" (Open Beta 10 for OnePlus 3) on to my OnePlus 3T via OnePlus Recovery. The installation completed successfully via Stock Recovery, but on selecting reboot, the phone is completely dead. No response to power cycle or even dash charging.
Is it a hard brick, and is there any way to come out of this?

Good, now try it. It'll take you back to the original firmware. It will erase everything.

Heya, I've ran into the same issue. Any idea how you flashed the OP3T firmware without getting the CheckHwId failed error?

Just hit yes and you will have still root. This is normal.
I click yes and nothing happens, phone reboots and update is still there.. Could the error bellow be relevant to why is not updating?
Thanks.

The update is still there possibly because it is not being installed properly. Download the latest from download.cyanogenmod.org and flash it manually from recovery. You will need to flash the supersu again if you didn't install the su backup script.
I am looking to return my tablet back to stock so I can watch Google movies. I have a wifi t710 tab2s. I have rooted it, installed a custom kernel, recovery, and rom. When I try to flash either one of these stock firmware 5.0.2_T710XXU1AOG5_T710XAR1AOG6_XAR.zip or 5.1.1_T710XXU1BOH7_T710XAR1BOH7_XAR.zip in Odin it fails.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.
Never mind. I got it.

It's a tad annoying when people do that and don't explain how they fixed it so I'll try and elaborate on his behalf. :banghead:
Basically it seems he was attempting to flash the zips in Odin. Odin requires tar or md5 files. I'm guessing he realised he had to extract the tar from the zip file first then flash.
I hope it was something else cause I have extracted the zips

Yea, I should of explained how I did it. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how I did it. I believe I ended up using Samsung Smart Switch or Samsung Kies 3 to return it back to stock. There is an Emergency phone recovery option in both programs that will restore your device back to stock.
When I plug it into smart switch it says not recognized.

Just reopen the update settings menu, it will resume download. It should restart from where it left off.

Clear cache. Either in stock recovery or in storage menu in settings. Then retry download.

Hello, i have one piece OnePlus A3010 which i think is chinese version since letters on box are in chinese...well the phone is stuck on logo and i need to flash it....can anyone share or direct me to flasher and firmware?
Thanks
here you go the link to official website:
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_4.1.3/
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_7/
Instructions are available there only. If you have twrp installed you can flash the rom just like any other rom.

Model no. For both OnePlus and OnePlus 3t are same so you'll have to check somehow from your box only. Maybe you can if there is anything about front camera, battery or processor mentioned as these are the only differences in 3 and 3t.

In the box it says A3010, is that 3T? I need to be sure before I flash my device since I don't want to brick it.

Yes A3010 is the chinese version of Oneplus 3t
So I can flash with oneplus 3T files? I won't brick the device?

Yes you can flash stable or the open beta. Follow the guidelines as mentioned in the links and it should not brick your device.

Also need to ask you, I read this from the site link u gave me:
If you are not using the original Oxygen Recovery. View instructions for TWRP Recovery to flash OxygenOS Recovery .
Don't understand what this means....?

They basically want you to use their own official recovery and not twrp. If you don't want to root or customise the phone just use the instructions with official recovery. It should be fine.

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.oneplus.ota/files/.OnePlusOta/
its hidden so make sure to switch on hidden files on your pc.
So the ROM file is already in the phone? All I need to do is flash it via Stock Recovery? what about the ROM I downloaded?
Also, check out this link, this is the procedure I will execute:

The ROM won't be there already. When you download an update it is stored in the directory and is removed upon successful installation. If you're stock I'd recommend using the official method. Just reset the phone once you install the ROM as you'll be switching from Chinese ROM to oxygen os.

I will use the official method, when I execute the following command:
For Windows: “adb sideload <filename>”
Where do I store the <file>?

It has to be in the same folder where and files are stored. You can also just drag and drop the file in command prompt.

You'll have to download adb and fastboot in your pc if you want to use the sideload method. If you're not aware of it several tutorials are available on XDA.

I rooted my phone a few days ago and tried installing Nitrogen OS. and my device was encrypted so i had to wipe all the user data and still it asked for encryption.
so i tried installing OOS 5.0.5 which gave the Error 7. saying the ROM isn't for OP3T.
then I saw a tutorial on YouTube about bypassing the security on a ROM and did it and the the ROM got installed.
after yesterday's update, when i tried flashing the entire ROM again, I'm facing the same problem. can somebody help me with this?
EDIT: My phone shows the model as A3003. isn't it supposed to show A3100 or something?

how did you format your data? just wipe?
Went into TWRP, erased all data, formatted the partition too. My major issue is why does it give "error 7 rom is for phone OnePlus 3t and you're not using 3t".
I do have a 3t and i think there might be some problem with kernal. Only i don't know how to fix that

Update to the latest version of twrp. You can download it using the TWRP app or by browsing to twrp.me
That should do the trick with the error saying the rom is not for your phone.

Thanks a lot that actually worked. I thought there was some problem with the kernal. Now i can freely flash Pie. Any suggestions on which ROM is best right now?

There is an entire thread about ROM suggestions: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/best-stable-8-1-custom-rom-oneplus-3t-t3788189
There is not such thing as "best ROM". It depends on your individual requirements, usage patterns, and preferences. It's an individual choice.
