Hello,
recently I was browsing the Internet to find out, whether is it possible to do some hax with this phone and found that it may be possible to root this phone using KingRoot app (I'm going to test this soon).
I also saw a thread with Xposed packages for EMUI. But my question is - is it possible to install Xposed on this phone, when installing TWRP is not available (it doesn't exist (yet?))?

Here's the latest on when Xposed might be compatible with ART.

this phone is awesome
This stuff is beyond my understanding however it might be a clue that Xposed is still a long way from working with ART.

Hopefully they get that. The one thing that makes me hesitant to be happy about getting an update.

In an effort to keep Xposed questions/issues out of ROM threads since Xposed and/or a module related issue one might have; is not the fault of the ROM you are using and therefore shouldn't be asked in those threads. The devs have better things to do than read thru non related ROM issues.
Xposed for L is currently in alpha 4 (the apk says alpha 2 for now on; look at the zip file date) and it will work on the G2 albeit with some help; and I don't mean being rooted since that's a given. Before installing Xposed we need to, re-name/freeze LGCover in the priv-app folder and LGWeather and LGWeatherService in the app folder. P_Toti explains the issue here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58879600#post58879600 and here https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/27
Spoiler alert; Looks like he has a RC G2/G3 TweaksBox working for us. Post #4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53618487
After LGCover, LGWeather, and LGWeatherService are re-named/frozen head to the Official Xposed read-only thread I know a lot don't like to read, but if you plan on using this, you should read the whole OP. There's also a discussion thread that is a mess unfortunately, however there is valuable info in it, especially post # 2.
If you are one of the many that don't read before flashing, you can disable LGCover, LGWeather, and LGWeatherService thru adb after you realized the device won't boot properly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59929667
I don't know what modules work and/or don't work. I only try them for testing purposes. You might be asking what modules work/don't work and don't know how to search. Well, I've found 3 threads to help you out. List of devices able to run Xposed on Lollipop , [Unofficial] List of working Modules for Xposed on Lollipop, and the one that helped me narrow down what should work, Xposed Lollipop compatible Modules
Since I don't/won't use Xposed, I am no help on how to use 99.9% of the modules, however there are many here that use them and can help. The XDA Community Apps has a link to the Xposed Framework Modules that can help you out with specific modules.

Hi,
I am new here. I am also new to rooting as I just rooted to 7.1 yesterday. I wanted the pixel look on my 6p. I believe I used superSu (not sure what that is lol I need some education), but that is the app on my phone. Everything is working pretty good aside from 2 things: 1. snapchat login doesn't work and from what I have seen online I cannot uninstall xposed installer because as of now I do not even have one installed because it's not released for Nougat yet. Or is that what SuperSu is? Also my battery is draining like crazy.... someone please tell me how to fix that and possibly educate me a bit on what these particular apps are, superSu and xposed installer. I am sorry to create another thread if these things were already stated but I am so confused..
Thank you!,
Brianna
Hey guys,
I really want to run some xposed stuff on my P9 Plus, but in almost all the P9+ threads I read, there's a bunch of issues, whether its the rooting, the TWRP, xposed, etc. Anyone got a solid guide on Rooting, Installing TWRP, and getting xposed to work, for a total n00b?
Thanks!
Anyone?
Latest API 23 ARM64 builds should work without issues.
Theming is still an issue due to Huawei's custom Theme engine, but everything else should work fine. Using it with YouTube Background Playback and YouTube AdAway right now.
Hi ,
Still confused if i can install xposed on my 7.1.1n note 8 exynos.
Serched the forums but haven't got to what im looking for.
Is it working properly?
What version is stable?(root device stock rom)
Any toturials?
Thanks,
Elad
Hi.
I'm using xposed Framework v89, you can find it on xda or google search.
Obviously, you need root permission
Most modules are not upgraded since year 2013 ? Is it safe to use same ?
https://www.xda-developers.com/best-xposed-modules/
Most modules are not upgraded since ages ?
Yet the thread is posted as latest 2018 best modules ?
Tried all and mobile wont boot now.. lol..
I have results of latest modules displayed on the post, but not yet upgraded since ages.
Except greenfly or few.. Though listed..
Are these modules still safe to use with latest technology ?
Thanks,
Request reply from advanced person and request to pin after my reply.
I still love XDA but a question.
Noone on XDA team to reply same ?
ITs weird.. ?
Made other replies in respective topics..
But that is xposed and still xposed ?
UHHH..
It really depends on what Android version are you using.
Sometimes even if the modules are really old they still works.
You can try install them one by one, so if you end up in a bootloop you know exactly what module caused it.
In case of bootloop if you're using Xposed systemless just uninstall xposed module from recovey (with uninmod or magisk mm) and delete the xposed apps once it boots with xposed disabled
If you're using system version of xposed, browse from twrp to the modules folder and delete the module by hand
Or just search on xda, there are threads where people post which module works on each version of Android

Safe?? In general, yes. Module specific - no different than the day module was born.
Stability is a completely different animal with numerous variables in play using "latest technology". Do your homework; seek community input on modules in question. Know how to recover from module failures and bootloops. Maybe consider a backup; I heard they're a good idea.
