Play audio during call. - Tasker Tips & Tricks

Hey taskers, I just have some problem using the default play audio and stream it into any available options like speaker, call. It just doesnt work. I mean i can hear the audio file being played, but the person on the other end cannot.
Is there any alternate way to accomplish this task? Like a plugin or something?
I used cm13.
Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if this thread should be here, please reposition if it's not.
when i go to Voice recording format in the Input setup, i can't find any mp3 formats, is this normal? and how can I add new formats?
Use Vito Audio Notes, it allows you to record to MP3.

what if I want to use the built in wm6.1 audio recording programs like audio recorder or notes to record mp3? i can't imagine there is no codec or plugin that we can install so wm6.1 would record mp3 on it's own
Try this, I just tested it on WM6.1. Works perfectly.

NoteM on WM 6.1 - Freezes upon closing other actions
I've used NoteM since I had my XDA way back always been a great piece of software. Lately though it continually freezes my phone. I can open it and record and usually stop recording but when I close the software or switch to another task it freezes my phone. Anybody have the same problem?
Many thanks,

How to make a different video player default in CM6.1

I use my news app tmj4 all the time but it uses the native android video player by default I installed Mvideo player but I can't seem to make it the default player for my media apps the reason I'm asking is that the native app cuts out the screen and the volume sucks a$$ anyways any help would b greatly appreciated I already got the louder volume hack and it only helps during phone calls for me not the video and I just had sprint replace the speaker on my hero as it's a known hardware issue from what the sprint tech told me well thanks in advance

[Q] Disable headset controls for Music Mod (but not other music players)

Is there a way to disable headset controls in the version of Music Mod that's currently incorporated into CM6.1-RC1?
Music Mod is cool and all, but I prefer PowerAMP and Music Mod sometimes intercepts headset controls when I actually want to start PowerAMP.
I've looked high and low through system settings and CyanogenMod settings, and can't seem to find a settings menu within Music Mod itself. Is there a simple solution that I'm overlooking?
do you mean like if you use the controls on the headset instead of controlling your current app triggers the default music player installed as stock on the android (not sure if Music Mod is stock... i just know it as Music)? because i have the same problem! ill be using pandora and the pause/play triggers either Music.apk or Winamp and its really annoying.
Yeah dude, that sounds like exactly the problem I'm having! Here's hoping the XDA brain trust can help us out :]
I have the same issue while using Pandora! Hope there's a fix?
Not that it helps this specific problem, but go to now playing, then menu>more>settings for settings.

[Q] Making a Foobar2000 control app

Hi,
I am making a Foobar2000 control app by using the foo_httpcontrol add-on. I figured out how I can run certain commands, but I am completely blank on how to get information back from the server like playlists or current playing song. Does anyone have exprience with this on Android or knows how to do it on wp8?
Also: currently I am using a hidden browser for executing the commands, would it be better/possible to use webrequests or something for that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say I could help you with foo_httpcontrol. I haven't used it that much.
I'd recommend using the DLNA plugin instead. Using the DLNA app made either by Nokia or HTC (it was that way with wp7, not sure on wp8) would be a similar experience to playing music that's in the music+video tab. Most DLNA apps have the capability to play music from the phone to another device, play music from another device and share it to a third device, e.g. Phone Music -> foobar, foobar -> WP8 -> Bluray player.
Also the album art will display if its in the same folder as the music (the dlna plugin on foobar looks for the folder.jpg first.)

Thank you for your answer, but I don't think that is what I am looking for. My desktop has a music collection that is far greater then the 32gb of my device, and the sound quality is a lot better as well. So I don't want to be streaming from or to my device. Also since my library has about 50.000+ songs I'd prefer to use my well known and set-up music player over searching through my windows folders.
I have seen a couple of android apps that control Foobar2000 by using the plugin I use as well, and they are able to get the song info etc. So it is possible, I just can't figure out how.
(I did download the Nokia Play To app, because streaming like that is also useful at other times )

Well most of my foobar collection are chiptunes, (vgm/sid/gbs) modules (mod, xm, it) and album in a single flac with cue files (flac doesn't always play, but mostly works) so I need it to stream WAV 48khz (its the highest I've tried) over wireless N using that dlna plugin. I have seen some foobar apps thats in the marketplace, but nothing that I'd seen work. Also somthing else that works, is the foo_touchremote plugin. It uses the boujour service (also in Apple's iTunes, but used in other things as well) and works simply with entering a pairing code.
If you still would like to use foo_httpcontrol, I'd ask over at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org.

That touchremote plugin sounds like it could be what I need, I will look into that when I have a bit more time. Thank you for the answers.:good:

Play media while Incall

Hi there,
i need some help here.
I want tasker to pick up a call and play a media file so that the caller can hear it...
Im able to make tasker to pick up the call, but the phone mutes then everything and the media file is played, but can not be heared...
any idea how to solve this?
Thanks
If you're using Tasker's inbuilt Play Music action, you can try changing the output stream and see if that works.
