Hi !
I Am Using A Lenovo A7000..The Android Is Marshmallow Version 6.0.I Was Running Out Of Internal Memory. So I Decided To Do A Factory Reset. Before Doing The Factory Reset,I Backed Up All My Contacts And SMS To SD Card In The Settings>Backup And Reset>Backup To SD Card.I Done The Factory Reset And I Was Trying To Retrieve The Contacts And SMS But It Does Not Show The Backed Up Data.I Did Not Do A Cloud Sync.Fortunately, I Had A Vcf File For My Contacts In My SD Separately And I Got All My Contacts.
Is There Anyway I Could Retrieve All My SMS? If So,How?
Help Me Guys..

I did a backup of my PDA using XBackup. I assume that the data was placed on my storage card. I then loaded the updated ROM. Now, I went back to XBackup and cannot restore my old programs and contacts...it does not find any backup file on the storage card (or anywhere). I also browsed the storage card with the file explorer and found my photos and music, but not backup file that I could see. Am I truly out of luck on restoring all my contacts and programs? Can anyone suggest a saving operation?
Hi,
I'm just wondering how can I save my text messages to my SD card instead of the sim card? Are there any apps that can do that?
Thanks.
They're saved in /data, not your SIM. You can back them up to SD with SMS Backup & Restore.
Ah, that's why I never found them after a restore.
I am cloning my SD card with Win Imager and putting it on another SD for a friend to make their life easier. Is there a way, once cloned, to delete all my data from this cloned SD card? I was going to reset the nook color to factory defaults with the cloned card in it, but I am not sure if this my data stored on the SD or internally on the nook. When I put my card back in I want all my data to be present still, just cleared from the clone. Is the account info stored internally or on the SD?
Also, I do not want to lose all my app progress.
So, I would like to clone a card for a friend but make it so they don't get my emails and have all my user data tied to the SD card I am sending them. Is this possible?
Any help is appreciated!
UPDATE: new problem. Wiping data doesn't work. I want my account off the card but nothing works. I select factory reset and erase SD. It finishes, restarts, and my email data is still intact. CM7 is booting from the SD card if that matters. What the...
Why not just create one from scratch. It takes half an hour, especially if you did one before?
Do your friend has his own NC? or using yours also?
Deleting accounts.db from data/system will delete all google accounts from the phone and *should* take access to the associated data with it. Removing the other app data is probably trickier. Don't do this on your NC before you have a backup though.
hi all~ i just full wipe my w8 (GDX c21) just now and i have no idea how to get the apps from my sd card to retrieve the apps i saved to my sd card ..i know they are in android.secure but how to you bring them back to your phone?
Factory Reset from settings.
That says when doing it but I'm not sure if it is, could someone who has done it answer me?
It erases everything. Not only your photos.
The devil is in the details - factory reset, like as in fresh out of the factory...
If you have an sd card transfer everything you want on to that and it won't erase the sd card, unless you then format the sd card...
Only if they are stored in internal storage if they are all on sd card Factory reset doesn't affect them. Transfer all photos to SD and download smartswitch app and make a backup store it on sd as well then do your reset and voila!
