Hello guys,
Short story, I bricked my phone, recovered with DC Phoenix but it erased 3 partitions which are vital to getting a network on phone.
I am looking for 3 backup files for:
modemnvm_factory
modemnvm_backup
modemnvm_system
If someone can upload those files from their rooted phone, it will be very much appreciated.
Long story:
Recently I bricked my P9 EVA-AL10 and unbricked it using DC Phoenix using factory rom (Method 2). But after unbricking, there is no network. It sometimes catches a signal but the signal is dropped after a while and it doesn't recover again. I had a TWRP backup but unfortunately it doesn't backup all the partitions.
I had been looking for a fix for quite sometime now, contacted the DC Unlocker team but they didn't have a fix. I saw another thread here where users had unbricked their Huawei Mate8 using the same method as me to have same issue as me. I followed that thread and one user pointed out that reflashing the partitions: modemnvm_factory, modemnvm_backup and modemnvm_system fixed this problem.
Here is the link to that post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70464694&postcount=50
I am here to beg someone with a rooted P9 preferably on EVA-AL10 or EVA-L29 to upload those 3 files so I can fix my phone which I haven't been able to use for a while.
Those partitions do contain device IMEI so please PM me because you don't necessarily want those file in public. I have no use for these details as I will be repairing the IMEI again.
I will be very glad if some kind soul can help a brother out.
You will need a rooted P9 and you can take backup for those 3 partitions using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ma.wanam.partitions
Can someone please help
Anyone please?
Please help guys
I would help but I have the L09
Guys please help me out. I am willing to pay decent via paypal if I can get my phone working again.
Bump, please help!
Please help guys.
I'm still looking for someone to help me.
Please help!
Anyone please help. FML.

I have tried many firmwares including stock ones, no luck. Also did a lot of factory resets. I just need to flash those erased partitions to have my phone working again and stock roms don't contain image for the partitions I'm looking for... or else I would have extracted those images and flash it on my phone and be done.

I also have full TWRP backup for my phone, unfortunately it doesn't contain backup for the files I'm looking for. I suggest you also take backup of all partitions just incase something like this may happen to you in future.
TWRP backup isn't enough.
Help me guys, please...

Hey, Thank you so much!
I won't use your IMEI at all. The partition you upload has IMEI info but I will repair IMEI with HCU again since it will say 0000... on my phone after I flash the partition files you upload. I have my own IMEI and IMEI2 and I actually want my own IMEI to be on my phone.
I am from the United Kingdom.
Your phone will remain working forever because you will just take backups and I won't use your IMEI. But I wont recommend you posting these files in public. You can PM me.
If you have rooted P9, just download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ma.wanam.partitions
Backup the partitions:
modemnvm_factory
modemnvm_backup
modemnvm_system
Upload them to mega.co.nz or any host of your choice.
Thank you so much!
Yup , I need that too ! Hope you will respond quickly .
who need those partitions, please pm me. please make sure my phone wont die. ? my model is eva-al10 running kangvip nougat b377. thanks
Thanks! @womanizerzz
I've managed to fix it!
Could you please share these partitions with me as well? I am stuck with a phone which can't make phone calls (

Hello,
if anybody is able to share his EFS, please share it. I've tried modifying many "nv_data.bin" sample files but I couldn't get the IMEI to show something in any case. CVXCVX tried to repair my phone with his tools but still, no success.
I desperately need to fix my N7000 so please try to help somehow. For more info, please read the thread from my signature.

It seems that app won't work if your EFS is lost without a backup. I haven't tried it though.

this can only be repaired with a special JTAG,same that can fix soft bricks.this jtag can rewrite the imei.dont try other methods, this is the only one working.start looking for a service with this tool.here in romania costs about 10 euros....

Thread owner should have mentioned that he bought a new eMMC chip and had it soldered on the MB (he hints at his project where this was discussed).
So all the normal possible solutions didn't work.
So maybe something went wrong when soldering.
Or if using a new eMMC chip on a Samsung board this needs some special "initialization" of the chip.
Or each chip has an hard coded IMEI inside, so that using backups or the polish repair with the old IMEI won't work.
(Added an answer here because I think the thread soon will moved to Q&A)
Have you tried the method described in this thread? Hidden Menu enabler tool + IMEI restore method

just find an early rom which has efs. img and flash through odin. It will give you what you need, except for original emei. That you can get Samsung or Polish way
edit, finding that rom will be difficult, but its out there
edit here it is
http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3136
It will change your csc, but you can change that by flashing the csc file of your rom of choice, then the *#272*youremei# dial. Note do this on safe kernel only

I have tried installing a 2.3.6 ROM but I still had no IMEI. Maybe the ROM didn't had efs file like the one you've mentioned. I'll try it so thanks anyways...
yeah flash efs file after flashing the rom separately. Set clear efs to yes.
all at own risk
let me know how it goes
BUMP
i can see that the problem because of my serial number and imei have been changed to fake (00000) or (360000000) after ROM installation , so now i am unable to registder to any mobile network
any help ?
Nothing except returning it or restoring the backed up efs folder that you should have made. Samsung is known for this issue.
you can try this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/REMOTE-IMEI...268358?hash=item41a290bb46:g:HgAAAOSwGotWiVfJ
note I have never done it so take it with a grain of salt.

Be very careful with things like this. Messing with the IMEI is illegal in most places in the world and only the OEM has the rights to do anything with it.
if i returning it they will know that i am missing with device and the warranty is void right ?

Well see that is where you maybe wrong. Flashing the device has everything to do with what happened.
Samsung devices have a history of doing this if the scripts are not set up properly. (main reason all real developers stopped working on Samsung devices.)
My advise is to back up your efs partition for the next time it happens from flashing a rom.
This is just a reminder, because I see someone reply threads on it
Said to modify the IMEI
Samsung mobile phone now
If you modify the IMEI
Or cancel the network lock through the BOX
Can meet a trouble.
That is DRK damage
This is forcing some users to upgrade or restore the factory Settings
Stay on the page of samsung LOGO
Part of the mobile phone can be solved by flash the kernel
But this is not a perfect solution
So, after missing IMEI must careful operation

i agree, many users have flashed the rom and no one had this problem, i have written script by myself and i believe it has nothing to do with other than /system. I always advice users to make backup, its much better to have backup than finding solutions

That is just the thing with Samsung devices. It doesn't always happen but can happen to people from flashing roms. Mainly Samsung roms. As they are the only ones that make the partition erasable when messing with the system partition. Samsung has been working on ways to prevent people from flashing roms. Again this is why most big developers walked away from Samsung and refuse to support their devices.
If I was you I would put a disclaimer on your thread to backup the efs partition. (this should be standard on all Samsung rom threads)
As for you writing the script yourself. After looking at your post history I would advise you to hit up some of the Samsung devs and talk to them.
Guys
i dont blame anyone ,but this is just what happened , i flashed VENOM and DRKetan Roms without having this problem at all , i dont know may be the issue on my device

If this app can help repair my android one sprout 4 then please help me.
Doesn't do much if anything.
You need ROOT already before you can "backup" the ROM. So those trying to get the ROM so you can root are going to be disappointed.
Then something funny happens when you use the uninstall available through the start menu. A program restore.exe gets quarantined by my anti-virus.
My advice, forget it.

It is possible to backup some without root. I have done so with a Qualcomm 8917 soc based phone with QPST.
Good looking out on this app. Who knows what restore.exe could be. Maybe some kind of packed advertising malware that came with his installer he used. Usually common on stuff like this so creator of installer and even person using it receives $ everything from installs to impression views etc.
Hey guys! It's me again! I've just solved my imei problem, thanks to mrmazak, now I solved it, I've noticed that I have another problem... I've been reading and the problem is caused by flashing (like I did) with SPFT in format all option....
Can anyone make a back up (with trwp) of the nvram files of the blu R1 HD and attach it to this thread to restore the information?
I hope you can help me!

Sorry but posting nvram from my phone would share my serial number and imei with the whole internet and I don't want to have my numbers band from my carrier. I know I'm over concerned. I will be working on changing the numbers and making a generic backup when my phone cones back from repair next week.
