Hi. I am trying to repair a friend's phone. The phone is stucked on the motorola logo. I can send mfastboot commands to the phone, but I try to follow guides that I have seen here and the process always get any error. I think it is exactly a soft brick.
How could I repair the phone?
Thanks.

How can I unbrick my Moto X (XT1058)?
It won't turn on, react anything and while connecting to the computer shows as "qhsusb_dload".
Will I be able to flash bootloader using Motorola Fastboot cable(can be found on eBay) cable ?
Or are there any other ways to unbrick Moto X?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. There isn't any Motorola Service Centres in my country, so I can't take it to them.

1+^ we can't help unless we know exactly what you have done or try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2629057
Sent on my Gummy running Lenoto X
Doesn't really matter what caused it to be in this state. Once it is only reporting as the Qualcomm HSUSB QDLOADER device the only way to fix it is with the boot loader repair kits as shown in the link flashallthetime posted above.
The factory cable/adapter can help in this situation but is not absolutely required depending on the state of the battery when the device was bricked.
They do give you the best chance of recovering the device because it is powered directly from the USB cable, not the battery, but they do not guarantee success of course.
[Solved] Yesterday I tried to root my phone but after do all the steps that were on the sites, I couldn't turn it on anymore. Everytime I try it makes the bootloader but when it ends, the moto x turns off again. I don't know what happened someone told me that it names hardbrick so, can anyone tell me how to fix it? Or if it's possible.
If you need some information to help me, just ask. [Solved]
If you can get to the bootloader is not bricked.
Look up how to use fastboot to flash the system and boot img.
Go to soltrans' thread and you should be fine

Start with step "0".
Hello all, a while ago my Moto G runnning CM 12.1 suddenly crashed, got stuck in bootloop and upon factory reset it got bricked with access just to the bootloader. I brought it to a friend who was able to install stock firmware and then CM 13, the phone worked fine for a few days just to have the same issue all over again.
I did as he told me, and basically went through the process of flashing stock firmware as per this post., but it fails when flashing motoboot. My friend said he "bombed" the device with all the (failed) commands anyway until the phone was completely dead for a few hours, then recharged it and was finally able to flash the firmware. I tried doing the same but I never got past the motoboot bit as mentioned above.
I used

firmware but I now I'm wondering whether it is the wrong file. The info on the phone box's label says

I've scoured many posts but haven't really found any specific answers as to how to identify the correct firmware out of those up for download, I can provide other info if needed. The phone has been revived before so I guess it is doable again, thanks for your help and have a good year everyone! :highfive:
Can someone explain this

I've not experienced this.
Are you rooted / bootloader unlocked?
Do you have any idea what caused it?
Were you able to recover?
If so, what did you have to do?

Did you do anything to the bootloader by flashing any files? Did you unlock the bootloader? If the answer is yes then you might have an issue with flashed files.
If no and you have not touched the device then you might have a rare error. If you have a carrier phone with Verizon you might want to try their "repair assistant" which is the same as what is mentioned on the phone screen. It seems to have a repair function. You will have to connect the phone via USB to your computer. Download the assistant from here. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-209211/
If you don't have a Verizon moto x4 or you have another carrier then either still give the software a shot or take it to a Motorola service centre.
Can pretty much confirm the same with an old moto z force post on the Lenovo forums. If you have Verizon downloading the software will solve the problem.
I know that I was trying to flash to stock and that was the result, rsd can see the device but when I flash it it says failed to switch to fastboot
Yea bootloader has been unlocked for weeks and started acting up and I was trying to clear it and start over and no I can't get it to flash spar_chunks
Any ideas
Notice you mentioned RSD failing to switch to fastboot... I assume you tried reflashing the GPT/bootloader directly from fastboot?
If you hit volume up/down from the screen you posted, does it go through the other fastboot screens?
No i get the quausb or whatever that is in my comp for deviecs now...and no screen mow and yes the parition was compermised by error on my part
So i have a day old red magic 3s that i tried to update, and now it just reboots to the blue screen with the recovery option. I try selecting recovery, but it never boots into recovery. Any ideas? I just got the phone, and now this?
How did you try to update it?

I used the update package from Red Magic website. It failed at 40%, rebooted, and now I only get to the blue screen that has serial #, and reboot to recovery, reboot to emergency recovery, and edr. I tried recovery, but it reboots to same screen. I tried edr, the screen turns off. I think I have a major issue. Any idea what happened?
You could try flashing with fastboot and see if that helps. There's guides on how to do it. The update zip will have the files. If that doesn't work I would just RMA it since you have a warranty.
If those don't work the only real option is to flash from a EDL programmer.
I have flashed all those files from the site to a phone and had no issues. So if it failed at 40% you could have an issue that might be hardware related.
Could try QFIL.
Be careful with QFIL tho.

I tried the fastboot flashing. I still only get to the bootloader screen. I contacted Red Magic, they wont accept a RMA, because i unlocked bootloader. They said warranty is void. I dont have any idea what QFIL is. I see there is some tool for the red magic 3. Would that work?
Enjoy your new paperweight OP! LMFAO. This phone is unrepairable without the nubia unbrick tool.

None of what you linked for me would help. I think we need the unbrick program. There is 4 or 5 of us now. Do you have it? Thank you.
