Did a full install of the Gingerbread overcome rom. Its absolutely phenomenal. Only one issue, GPS works, google maps work, but Google Navigation will not locate, just sits at waiting for location, same with my weather app. Anyone else have this issue and how do I fix it. I did the GPS fix to see that would help but didnt. Ran tests and satellites pop up just fine. Again, Google maps finds my location fine, but google navigation app wont.
Figured it out. Thanks
So you had problem and found the solution. But youll keep it for yourself. Great. Keep it this way and xda forums will eventually die . ;-)

Was the solution to walk outside?
I'm having trouble with apps that can configure autorun settings since migrating to the LT25i. On my LT18i (Ray) I used Gemini App Manager to control which apps can autorun according to which receivers. On my LT25i, this is not possible anymore. I tried ROM Toolbox, and it would tell me that it could not find any receivers. I found other threads from people with XPERIA devices complaining about this, but no answers so far. Any help would be appreciated.
Exactly the same problem here - very odd and quite annoying.
Maybe the app doesn't support out phone? You could try contracting them to fix it.

Gemini App Manager has solved the problem in the latest version after I've made them aware of it. Has to do with Sony's API, they had to find a new way to access the app info.
Android Tuner also works very well.

Many thanks. ROM Toolbox Pro and Autostarts were the two I tried which it didn't work on.
I unlocked my Rogers HTC One the other day and now I'm seeing this error when I try to use location aware apps such as the camera and when I refresh my weather. GPS seems to work fine in apps like maps but the phone no longer seems to know where I am. Any ideas? This is annoying and also means my camera is no longer creating events based on my location.
Having the same issue, with my still stock HTC one. Anyone has a solution? :/
There is another thread on here reporting same problem and have seen this mentioned on other forums too.
It seems to be a bug in the latest app updates from Google. Don't think there is a fix for this yet but some users reported a factory reset fixes the problem, but I am hoping for a quick fix from Google rather than resorting to reset
It is very frustrating tho! Btw I'm also on stock Rom

If you now soft reset your device does Google Location Services stop working again?
GM everybody,
I cannot post yet in the development forum so I have to make it here in the Q&A section.
I've installed the CM10.1 TWRP and, with the exception of the known issues, the ROM works (quite) perfectly.
Some people complains that screen auto-rotation often stops working for some reason and a reset is necessary. I never met such issue till last sunday when I've downloaded and installed from Play Google Maps with Navigator.
Once installed and started maps and/or Navigator, after a while autorotation freezes in portrait or Landscape mode depending on the latest usage for the application. To fix that you must restart the device, I haven't been able to reset the accelerometer in other ways.
Yesterday, after the n-th hang for autorotation I tried cleaning the Dalvik-Cache and system cache from TWRP but again using Maps for a hilw autorotation stopped to work again.
The only way to fix it has been to remove Maps from the device...probably it is enough to do not open it at all.
Did somebody else experience the same issue?
Wow, 183 reads and no answer.
Btw, the ptoblem looks to be Google Maps.
No idea on why it males rotation stuck.

I'm using the latest version (20130802) and no issues with auto rotation using maps or navigation.

Hi I've tried searching but no answer found, although others have asked. Using Latest MacKay KK 4.1.1 and I am unable to use google now via swype from left. Voice search works. I think the issue is related to an issue I had on a 4.3 Rom where I had to uninstall updates from Google Search and then update via app but unable to do that on KK.
Any solutions?
you must log in in search settings with your Google Account.
then you can activate Google now with swype from left
this works only in the google launcher
As far as I can see I'm logged in. I'm using gel launcher but of I try to open the search app I get a network error. When I had this on 4.3 ROMs I could delete updated from search open search and then update. I'll check settings again and thanks for the reply

I've been researching this issue and it seems that it is also affecting some Nexus 5 users too, Google is apparently working on a fix. If I manage to get a solution I'll post it here

It seems very hit and miss, some N5 users have the issue some don't it looks to be related to Google account settings
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dumz1opCfuE&feature=youtu.be Try this ROM. Google Now runs fine.
Found a fix of sorts; set up a new Google account on my phone in addition to my normal account and signed in to Google now using that. I read somewhere that there may be a problem with certain Google accounts causing this
