Cyanogen boot animation for mate 7..
Flash it through twrp recovery and all done.
I used cyanogen boot animation it's not created by me I just make a flashable zip hit thanks button if you like...
Screen shot...
Someone have to try it it's really awesome..
Tried it on mm rom, got nothing. It's pretty heavily moded though. Iirc there is something on build.props on animations
Have to be very careful with EMUI phones.
I think stock BA is ok anyway. I'm leaving it as is. I'm not embarrassed that it's a Huawei, in fact if I had the spare money I would update to a Mate 9 in a heartbeat ??
Only flash with twrp recovery it's tested in stock and custom rom work perfect..

I'm having a strange issue with my N1. If I try to apply a theme to any rom I get a boot loop. I've tried this on CM6 after a complete wipe, I've tried it on Pauls Desire Rom. I've tried it on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe rom. I've tried glass theme, NexTheme 2.2. Every theme I try seems to put me in a boot loop. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
As stated I have tried a complete wipe, fresh install and then the theme and nothing works.
You need to apply a theme ONLY to a specific ROM that this theme is made for.
Unless you do that, you get a boot loop.
So nothing strange here...

Maybe I didn't make that clear. I am using the correct theme for the correct rom. NexTheme 2.2 is for CM3 RC3 which is what I tried to apply it to and got a boot loop. But in the past I have gotten this problem with every rom I installed and tried to apply a theme too..
theme boot loop
I am having the same problem did you ever figure that out?
Does anyone know why we can't reboot into recovery in ICS ROMs? Seems there is no moboot.next file in /boot, I am assuming it has something to dot with it. Used to work in CM7 for clockwork mod recovery. I would love to save the extra step where we are forced to choose it from moboot or else it boots the ROM.

I'm pretty sure there's an extended power menu in the xron ICS rom (i.e. classicnerd) but I honestly didn't try to boot from recovery when I used their rom, so I don't know if it actually works!
Ya, it doesn't work though. Even if you were to try rebooting from recovery using ROM Manager or ROM Toolbox, still won't. It worked in Xron 2.9.1 whichever way you want to do it. Not sure what's different about CM9.
Fixed in CM A0.6

I consider myself quite knowledgeable at flashing etc but while devloping my app (Carbon Tweaks) I have experinced something i havent seen before. If i try to boot into recovery normally its cwm. And by any other method thats where i go. But recently most likely after one of my flashes if i use a piece of code in my app to tell recovery to flash a zip on reboot into it, it boots me into a weird mess. The image in the centre is a combination of about 4 different recovery images (From previous kernals) and the progress bar is a mass of multicoloured lines. My flash errors with a status 7 and the menu for stock recovery comes up with onlt the normal Un-cwm options. If i then click reboot system it will hang until i hold down the power and on turning backon with reboot into cwm recovery.
I literally have no idea what it is o.o I'm able to flash fine in regular cwm, Some zips flash fine in the weird stock mess so any help would be great
I'm on liquid smooth with franco r4 for the record
Nothing to do with me just thought I'd share :good:

Did you get this working on your 6P? How does it look? I noticed those themes are for 1980x1080 while our phone resolution is 2560x1440. I just skimmed the OP though, didn't read to the thread. I'll check it out later when I get home.
Edit: I tried it and it works fine. I read in the thread that TWRP scales up images automatically. It looks fine.
Note to encrypted users: When you boot to recovery, the splash will be stock and TWRP will be stock theme until you enter your pin/password/pattern. After that it will automatically load the theme after a few seconds.
hey guys! newbie here!
Flashed TWRP 3.0.2 and installed SuperSU 2.67 with 0 problems.I wanted to try out something different than the MIUI as it is a bit too iphone looking imo.
My dream would be something that runs ASOP or close, like cyanogenmod, but with the MIUI camera app as that thing is amazing!
Soooo i went from MIUI7 to Cyanogenmod 13
But kept getting various bugs (camera not working/video not working/random crashes etc.)
Tried some other rom called Resurrected Remix
But this one would only show the actual screen when i pressed the lock button. Showed the screen for like 0.2 sec before going out. When turning on the display, it just showed white. Pure white.
Now, i just want to go back to MIUI for now and see what happens with development for the MI5 in a couple of months.
But, when i boot into recovery and flash the latest stock global rom, downloaded from miui forum and then try to boot, it just stays in a boot loop.
Tried reflashing/redownloading a couple of times but makes 0 difference.
So now i got a very beautiful TWRP running phone.. Only running TWRP..
If ANYONE has got some good ideas for me to try, please let me know!

Hey there,
I assume your Bootloader is unlocked, since you flashed a few different ROMs. If so, you can download the official Xiaomi flash tool (Miflash) and flash the official fastboot ROM (which is different from a recovery ROM).
Just follow the instructions in this page: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html and you'll be good to go in no time.
After flashing, check that everything works then if you want to root just reboot into fastboot mode, boot TWRP (fastboot boot recovery.img), flash SuperSU.
Cheers!
Hey again! so i tried flashing via Miflash tool, but now it is just stuck in a bootloop.. It has been booting for 30 min+ after the flash was sucessfully completed..
i have tried to do a "standard" flash with the flash_all_but_storage.bat and also the flash_all.bat, but neither lets me boot into MIUI
I had the same bootloop problem after using Miflash.
I sorted it out by putting the uncompressed ROM at the root of /c:.
I also used the latest beta of Miflash.
I hope it helps...
am using latest beta of Miflash.. Connected to PC via USB 2.0
Uncompressed root is at root of C drive...
