Hi I have a problem with s3 mini i8190 - for the last few days, when using the facebook app, the phone suddenly restarts. I did a factory reset, but that didn't help. The phone is running 4.1.2 stock, not rooted.
This is facebook app problem uninterested with your phone.

G'day everyone.
The phone is an Optus (Australia) Galaxy S which is running 2.2.1 Froyo XXJPY Kernal Version 2.6.32.9
It has suddenly gone really slow and all widgets, games and apps will not work and when trying to run any of them, the phone vibrates and shows a message saying it has stopped unexpectedly and to close it.
When using the phone, it sometimes gets the following message...
The application AdService (proces.com.sec.android.appsecad) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. With a FORCE CLOSE button.
Which is the same format as the other error messages she mentioned.
The phone restarted yesterday to find that it has wiped out all contacts and saved stuff in the Memo program and all favourite apps were gone from the home screen.
I've been asked to help with this, but I'm finding the solution very confusing.
Edit - She is happy for me to update it to a newer, stable version, but I'm unsure about doing that from the current version as I am not tech savy.
Advice on upgrading from 2.2.1 would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

Try to reflash Your ROM without wiping data. This should help.

Dear, all
first of all, sorry for my bad english...
I have my galaxy s3 mini for a few months (i bought it on august 2013), a week ago my HH had a notification that a new ugrade available. So i tap OK, and the phone downloaded the upgrade (195 MB, if i remember correctly). When the phone succesfully updated, i check the system. I noticed that the baseband version was upgraded from i8190DXAMA2 to i8190DXAMJ1. A few days later, my phone started acting wierd. All the system apps start to crash a lot. One day the messaging dan contact app not responding, and i had to force close and reboot the phone. The other day was clock app crashing, and i had to reboot the phone.
Does anyone have same problem like me? How can i fix this? I tried to clear app data, but that didn't work. Reboot is the only way to fix this problem. And i don't want to reboot the phone every day or two. If i want to downgrade my baseband version to original, how can i do that?
and oh, my phone is not rooted. Still using stock ROM.
thanks
I'm guessing you didn't do a factory data reset after update?
Reinstall firmware using kies, after it's done, turn on the phone, do a factory reset and then setup it as you would with new phone.
Optionaly you can make a backup with KIES before the upper ster, and after doing a factory reset, restore the backup. Or just copy/paste stuff you need (music, picture, etc)

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S III mini international version. For the few days the phone is restarting when the charge is less than 65% and I am trying to take photo or browsing! Can any one help me on this.
NB: It used to have custom ROM, but I have restored my stock backup, but the problem still remains.
Thanks in advance
