Good evening folks!
I've been lurking around in this amazing forum for some time now, but now i need a little bit of help.. I have searched my ass off in here and out there in google city, but can't find squat!
So...
I have this Huawei P9 that used to be EVA-L09C432B182 until yesterday when i tried to update/upgrade to C432B360 dload style. It went great i thought, 100% and succeed message. Then it rebooted to eRecovery...
I tried to update the HW_EU the same way - 99% Fail message.
I've tried update via Huawei updater as you can see in the picture below. I also tried unbrick/refurbish via Huawei updater but all that happened on Hisuite you can also see in the picture. The circle of nothing kept going for hours.
What my EVA can do? Enter eRecovery (which helps me nothing), fastboot/rescue mode (Huawei updater kinda recognizes my device, Hisuite does not.) and force update three button method (Here i get a message when trying to flash anything from ext. sd card: "Not compatible with this version, download the right software". Or something to that matter.)
If you take a look at the picture i've tried to embed below, you'll see that Huawei updater recognizes my phone as
Hardware: EVA-L09
Firmware: EVA-L09-hw-eu-V001 (Never seen or heard of!)
C- version: C000
D- version: D000

I'm not rooted.

Windows recognize as: HI3650, Huawei Android Interface.
I'll appreciate all and any links, downloads, guides, tools.. Ideas you might have!

Yeah, i tried. Wipe cache - Fail. Factory reset - Fail.
Something actually happening after trying custom rom method on Huawei updater with hisuit IP/Port set manually .
Lets hope it lasts!

Don't know yet, it's going reeealy slow. I'll keep you posted!
It was going so great...
And then not so much..
I was stuck in a similar sort of place, I used a program called DC Phoenix, which I found in these forums. You have to pay a fee of 15 euros which gives you access to force flash a rom. It worked perfectly on mine after I had exhausted other options. Its part of dc unlocker. Hope that helps

Hey!
Do you know if this Is a guaranteed succeed solution? I'll look into it. Definitely worth the 15Euros if it actually works magic!
Thanks.
Theres a forum thread somewhere on here, I cant find it at the minute, but there were numerous good reviews
Tried using SRK and update extractor. See pic.
Anyone know what i can do with this "command not allowed"?
No time for school, work or family with this **** going on..!

I would try and flash a full rom using the dload method just to make sure. I flashed B136 after I reset mine to take it back to original and let it updat to b166 ota
Phoenix woke my phone up again! Thanks!! Now I'm on Nrd90m though, hoping to bring back stock.

I had the same problem, what did you do to fix it?
I downloaded DC phoenix from DC unlocker page. Bought 15 credits ≈ 15 euro
Downloaded full b361 for EVA-L09. Then followed instructions given by the program. I can explain better when I'm on my laptop if needed?
Still have no built-in camera, no BT, no NFC and no built-in flashlight..

Until i looked on here today I wasnt aware there was actually an update for the huawei p9 as i the phones 'Check up update' would always tell me there was no new version. I have the P9 EVA-L09 UK version and am currently on EMUI Ver 4.1.1 and Android version 6.0. What is the latest update i can install on this phone please and will i lose all the data on my phone?
Depends on your build number. If it's C432 you should be able to update to Nougat. If not you will need to follow the debrand guide found on this forum.
My build number is EVA-L09C432B182, which is the correct version right? I just tried updating to B386 from this guide here...
http://www.stechguide.com/download-huawei-p9-b386-nougat-update/
but i get an error message saying that the update.app is the wrong version, do i need an early version of the Nougat FW??
It's a minefield. Some work some don't. I'd try an earlier build b360 or b361 maybe. You could also try using the Huawei updater guides are on here.
hmm tried version B360 and it gets to about 39% installer and then gives me a 'Software Install Failed' message. Do i need an even older version of the Nougat FW?
That's the oldest as far as I know. Did you try with 3 button or hidden update menu method.
nah i used the phone keypad code method. I have just unlocked my bootloader and installed TWRP, can i update it via TWRP safely?
Hmm well ive updated to Nougat but something doesnt seem to be right alot of the programs are missing and now im unable to get TWRP to load and just seems to load Huawei eRecovery when i press the volume up and power button on turn the system on. How do i got about getting the phone back to stock (bootloader relocked, un rooted, twrp uninstalled and back on Android Marshmellow 6.0)?? so i can start again?
Look for the b136 rom. I believe that fixes a lot of issues for people. Most of this is on the debrand guide. Have a good read of that thread.

Ok thanks i just posted a new thread as i now seem to be stuck on a 'this system is rebooting' screen (the warning screen you get that tles you the phone is unlocked) and the phone never actually boots anymore. Will me force flashing (Volume Up+Down+Power button) the b136 rom get me out of this predicament?
I've not had to do it myself but I have read that others have. Good luck. Shouldn't be this hard to update.
Hmm i dont even seem to be able to get the phone into the force update process (Volume UP+DOWN+Power) just hangs on the Huawei logo screen
Hmm i think the phone is bricked, im unable to get into the menu to update the Update.app file from the dload folder on the SD card, i cant even get the phone to switch off it just keeps restarting itself and freezing on the 'your device has been unlocked and cant be trusted' screen....

if i try and turn the phone of it just turns itself back on and freezes on that screen again
Im able to get to the Fastboot & recovery mode screen if i hold volume down button.......
and if i hold down both the volume and power buttons i get this screen....
and not the firmware update screen i should be getting.
It has been suggested that i need to use DC Phoenix program to fix the phone but thats a paid method and dont really want to go that route if there is another way!??
Sorry to hear that mate. Good luck fixing it. It should not be this hard to update. For some it's easy for others it's a right pain. I'm sure there will be a way to sort it the hard bit will be finding it.

My original firmware P20 Pro is C432
I got it working with the following config
You need HiSuite Proxy + Hisuite
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82469033&postcount=1585
(this is not the exact link but use the keywords and id given below)
CLT-LGRP2-OVS 10.0.0.159 http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/...55/v386542/f1/

CLT-AL00l-PRELOAD 10.0.0.4(C00R1) http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/...55/v347044/f1/
One thing that was different.
After it finished recovery, I quickly unplugged the USB before my PC could recognise my phone and before my phone finished restarting.
Possibly after phone rebooting the first time, my phone tries to send a package to hisuite but it didn't get the right response or something which causes it to have an invalid signature or something.
So yeah make sure to unplug your USB as soon as it finishes, do not wait til it rebooted

Anyone else verify this yet?
Is there a walkthrough somewhere to get this hisuite proxy to work. Having difficulties getting this to happen. Firmware finder was so much handier ?
Any attempts to root yet, or how's the status of the bootloader after 10.?
I am very tempted to try it, but it can't root, I'd rather get a new phone

Hi! Can you share a walk-through from the beginning please. I am having trouble making HISuite Proxy and Hisuite work. Every time I try I get "No internet Connection". Also I would like to how to write the Package URL, I copy the complete link upto *.zip however it only pastes uptill */f1/
Looking forward to your reply.
There is a way to do it in firmware finder post here in the forum, but you need to know that your phone will be rebranded to the Chinese firmware, so for me has no sense to do it, I can wait one month more until official release ?

Did you try to root version 10?
This guide only applies to the phones with region number C636!!! I'm not responsible for what you do with your phone, take your own risk.
This guide will erase all the data on your phone, so backup before following.
If you downgraded your phone to 10.1.0.131 install GMS and then your phone&HiSuite keeps telling you that 131 is the latest version, this guide is for you.
All credits goes to "GSMFix" youtube channel and "Ictfix" website.

It says the file is corrupted or needs a pasword pasword to extract. Is there a pasword?
Hello thank you for the tutorial
Please I am on 10.1.0.131 (C636) and have install GMS
will I lose everything if I upgrade via USB?
This is my current Version
Will it work
My GMS is working absolutely fine enabling the phone to use all my banking apps and wallets. If I follow this
it seems like to reinstall GMS again and loosing settings and data.
So rather I will stick with EMUI 10 cause not guaranteed that banking apps will run perfectly on this method of GMS installation.
Thank you

You need to look at your region number, if your OTA updates are broken, resetting won't fix it. If your region number is C636, this guide can fix it.

My one is C636 (original build was C636E3R5P4) but still getting an "Incompatiblity with current version" error when trying this. Current version is C636E3R5P1 10.1.0.182.
Any reason as to why this could be?
Hi All,
I have a Note 10 5G 4+128. It was originally on vodafone firmware and I unlocked the bootloader and installed EEA 12.0.8.0 Stable. I shortly after received an OTA update to 12.0.9.0 (RKSEUXM) so assumed everything was all good.
I have not received the 12.0.10.0 update yet and the three dots are missing on the update page for me to do it manually. If I reboot the phone and go immediately to the update page the three dots are there for a split second then disappear.
The only thing I can think that has caused this is I have removed something I thought was bloatware using the XIAOMI ADB fasttools java app on windows. I have tried reinstalling pretty much all of the "bloatware" but it does not fix the issue.
A few threads on similar things for different devices have popped up on reddit and people say to clear the data and cache from the system updater app. However I do not appear to have that app and its not in the list of things ive previously uninstalled as "bloatware". My system apps updater still works fine and reguarly updates other system apps.
Any ideas?
tap 10 time on miui logo. you will see advanced options
Thanks for your response.
I have tried this. It states the advanced options are active. My problem is that the 3 dots themselves which gives access to the update settings, which should be shown even when advanced options are off, is completely missing.
If I restart the phone and go into the update page the dots show for a split second then disappear. It almost feels like an app is crashing in the background or something.
Please see attaches screenshot.

mmm... you can try update manually with miflash tools. you know how to do?
I know how to use the miflash tools, however I believe the bootloader needs to be unlocked to use them. I have already relocked the bootloader so would need to wait a week to unlock it again, plus that would mean wiping the user storage on the device which is rather not do.
Surely there must be something else im missing here? Other people online have stated to clear the data and cache from the Updater app on other MIUI devices, however I see no way to do that.

online i have found a tool very helpfull. i have remove the brand from my phone with bootloader locked. now i have the latest eu version. you can try it to update your firmware. search xiaomitool v2 by Francesco Tescari. another helpfull tool i found is xiaomiadbfastboottools.jar
The adb fastboot tools are the ones ive used to remove the bloatware on this and other phones in the past. It is excellent.
The Xiaomitool v2 is also great.
However I still feel like I am missing something. I should not have to unlock my bootloader and wipe my device every time there is an incremental MIUI update. There must be something I am missing here that is causing me not to get the OTA update or have the ability to manually update.

mmmm.... my advice is a clean installation of stock firmware. and the best way to do this is via miflash with bootloader unlocked. i'm not sure but i think something goes wrong during an ota update. so a sytem wipe is necessary. you could try reflash your current stock firmware via Xiaomi tool v2. i have used it to remove my brand without unlock and works fine. but if this don't solve your problem i think the only solution is a new clean installation
For mi 11 lite 5G: Go to "Settings/Apps/Manage apps" and search for app "Updater" then click on it and clear all data and cache.

Thank you! This really helped
I bought a slightly used 10 Pro (NE2213) from the local ebay. I am based in Bulgaria.
Phone is in great condition and has no sign of wear and tear. HOWEVER....
1. The Camera app keeps crashing.
2. Half of my pictures show as black squares in my Gallery. I don't know if they're not being saved or the previews are glitchy.
That's a big deal to me, because I bought this phone for my wife, so she can take photos of our baby.
So I thought I'd go ahead and update the software of the phone. It has Android 11. No matter what I do, it is impossible to get the update to install. "Extraction failed. Please try again".
I tried resetting the phone to factory settings several times, I tried turning on Developer Mode to install it manually, I tried installing Oxygen Updater from the Playstore, but I was never able to get past this error.
What am I missing here and what can I do? Please help.

Did you try to do a local upgrade with the update downloaded from OxygenUpdater?

Yes, I downloaded the package from OxygenUpdater. Then turned on Developer mode, but the Local Upgrade button from the 3 dots on the top right was always greyed out. OxygenUpdater says I need to install pending updates first, and then use their tool. I was never able to get past the screenshot above. :\
That's a nice tip...on the oxygen updater posts, there is one to restore your phone form Android 13, use that full package to flash OOS 12 again and you're good to go.

Please excuse my ignorance.
How do I "use a package to flash OOS 12 again"? Keep in mind I have Android 11, not 13. and that it's my first time having to do something like this. Does my phone need to be rooted for that?
I appreciate your patience and help, this is my first time having to deal with phone mods.
He said that he has the local update option grayed out so he can't install any package manually. Maybe it's grayed out because there is already another update downloaded. You should try to disable automatic updates and then delete the downloaded update from the internal memory of the phone, it should be in a folder called .Ota. If you can't see that folder you need to enable the option to show hidden files.
My best guess is use the NE2213 Full Downgrade ZIP. It should upgrade you to Android 12 and it's their only released FULL recovery zip so, it's your best bet.
However, seeing as you are on Android 11, some people here might want a dump of some images first, hahaha. It's widely believed this phone does not ship with Android 11
Download this package
https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/2370_sign_NE2215_11_A_OTA_0130_all_bb1e47_10100001.zip
And apply it using this apk https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPLocalUpdate_For_Android13.apk

You don't need to do anything more, but I would recommend you to unlock your bootloader just for precaution if something goes wrong.
Remember to have a full battery before starting the process and I strongly recommend to download from your PC or from oxygen updater to make sure that the package didn't corrupted

I agree with this. I think it's the best option.

The phone released with Android 12 dude, not 11... If I remember correctly there was an Android 11 preview but it was never official so it may be a test device or ambassador device.
My first thoughts would be... Send it back... There's zero reasons why you can't as you're covered for things just like this.... If it's eBay then you should really use PayPal so you're covered.
Beyond that you can use the rollback package to roll back to the earlier versions of android 12, this will flash 2213 onto the device, just Google OnePlus community rollback and you'll find it.
Few other things, are you sure it's a 2213 or a region changed Chinese variant? Did it come in a box? Does that state 2213?
Either way this issue shouldn't be occurring, I'd be sending that back buddy.
