About to buy the Mi Mix and have a couple of questions - Xiaomi Mi MIX Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I've decided to buy a Mi Mix and I have a couple of questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. I'm in the U.S., is there a recommended re-seller that I should buy from or should I buy directly from Xiaomi?
2. I want to use the Epic ROM by Mr. Raines, but I can't tell if I need to flash to a particular ROM/Recovery first, then flash Epic; OR can I flash over whatever comes on the phone and if so, which version of TWRP do I use.
Sorry if this has been covered before, but again, I appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

is this proceure safe?

Hello, i am a newbie and would like to install stock firmwares on my phone using ODIN. I would just like to know is this procedure safe? I have heard of many people bricking their phones with this method. Is it true?
People often think they bricked their phone, but 99.9% it isn't. Read some how-to's and it'll be a piece of cake

Ok, just a few questions please, i just want arabic language so is flashing through ODIN perfect or that? Also, do i need to root my phone?
Lastly, should USB Debugging be switched on during the process?
Thanks in advance

First question is, can you get to download and recovery mode?
If you want Arabic language, you will have to flash an Arabic rom.
Well, guys i will have the phone with me tomorrow, just wanted to prepare myself. Could you guys just please answer my queries in the last post?
As for the arabic file i have downloaded I9000JPJPG|2.2 file to flash on my phone tomorrow. Eagerly waiting for answers to my last post. Thank you.
As for download and recovery mode i will definitely try that before flashing my phone.

Need a guide for putting a ROM on a Chinese Mi Mix

So I recently bought a Mi Mix that came straight from China, I was wondering if anyone could link me the necessary guides for everything I need to get a custom ROM running on the device, as I am still a beginner and have no idea what I'm doing. Only reason I asked is because I'm pretty sure it's running the Chinese firmware and I would prefer a guide or walkthrough that will 100% work with my device. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
U will find all u need here.... with link and a lot of report...

Question Finally signed up, I'm looking for some help

So, long story short... Bought a Mi11 ultra from wondamobile, the phone is half in Chinese and I'm 50/50 about keeping the phone, I'm enjoying it but I'm struggling, apparently I'm not as much of a poweruser as I thought I was.
I tried to root an old phone of mine a Samsung S8+ and I absolutely could not do it so I'm worried about messing this one up. Started the unlock process today so I won't be able to do anything for a week but I was wondering if there's anyone that's comfortable with theirs and would maybe do mine for me?
I've seen a few people suggest it can be done remotely, would happily pay to have it sorted out and either an EU or Global Rom flashed to it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated too
Iam the one who posted a thread to help install xiaomi.eu rom. I can help you once you are ready through zoon/teamviewer.

I bought mine from Winds and had that mini version of Google, so I know where you're coming from. Why do you want to root? You don't need it for the EU ROM unless you need something that the ROM cannot give you. The EU ROM works on Google pay, banking apps, any widevine L1 requirement like sky go and more.
If you do root, you will need to try to hide it and that's when lots of apps fail safety net. Mine did on sky go, I just could not hide it enough but I didn't really need root, so got rid of it
You are best starting the bootloader unlock now. Nothing will happen until you have used the 1 week wait, 168 hours, then when you do, it will format, so that's the time to install twrp and flash the latest twrp EU ROM and enjoy.

I'll get in touch in 6 days or so then when I get the unlock finished
Is there anything else I'll need to make things smoother or anything I can do for you?

So you think rooting is a bad idea? How are you getting on with the phone now you've got the EU Rom on it? Easy enough?

Absolutely, but why do you need to root? I use the weekly beta version of EU ROM and it's been superb. No issues, all the latest updates as it's based on the Chinese weekly beta ROM but with the best of all versions but no Chinese text or apps.

Time vs benefits. It's an invitation for embedded malware.
Add to that you could easily hard brick it.

Question Need to Roll Back Chinese Rom (Mi 11 pro)

Hi guys, I really need help! I bought Mi 11 Pro On the site TradingShenzhen With Xiaomi.eu rom and I have nothing but worries!!! as soon as I play a game that uses "pubg" power or else I use the camera too much, my phone reboots every time, that's 5 or 6 times a day!!! I'm really at my wit's end. I have already tried several updates, at each installation clean the data, but the problem does not change at all! so I would like to try to go back to the original Chinese rom to try to see if the problem is still there. so I need a tutorial to start from the xiaomi.eu 13.0.9 rom has the Chinese rom behind. I hope someone will take the time to help me
