[Q] Issues with CyanogenMod 10.2

Hey guys
I flashed CyanogenMod 10.2 and since today the power button isn't working. Means I can't lock the screen. Also the screen freezes one time a day and I have to take out the battery to use the phone again.
Is there any zip or apk to fix this or do I have to flash a new rom?

Power button could be a hardware issue. For freezes do a clean install, also see if clean install fixes your power button.

I couldn't start the phone if it was completly damaged or? I kinda think it's the software's fault.
What is a clean install?

go to recovery and wipe /system /data /cache /emmc and then reinstall CM10.2.
I'm flashing a new ROM, because also the Launcher doesn't work correctly seems that my ROM is unstable

OK you were right about the hardware damage. I can only go into the recovery mode if I shut down the phone before by taking out the battery. and the main problem: I can't select any actions at the recovery mode.

you can get the hardware issue fixed but if you still want to install rom, then flash philz kernel from download mode using the .tar file and then you would have touch enabled in recovery. from there you can install CM or OMNI. Omni has TWRP which is again touch based.
Edit: once you have flashed rom, lets say Omni, it has Sleep option in Quick Settings which you can use to lock your phone and always keep the option wake up by pressing home button.

Please solve my problem about s3 mini INTERESTING PROBLEM

Hi,
I use s3 mini and maclaw's cm11 with twrp. But now i cannot do anything with my phone. Cant delete any file, cant setup or remove any program, cant setup any cwm. Like deepfreeze software when i reboot system all changes gone.
i try odin with 2-3 different roms. i says pass but when i reboot nothing changes. Again cyanogenmod 11 starts. I delete a file from internal sd card, everything seems ok, but when i reboot that file is here, nothing happens to that file, no delete. I remove a program, everything is ok but when i reboot nothing happens to that program.
what can i do?

Hello!
It's not clear... it worked for a while with cm11 and then you have this issue all of a sudden, or this issue happened when you installed cm11?

I had an issue with Odin/cm11. Device was recognized by Odin & flash went OK/passed but nothing changed. All apps n settings were intact. Every time I used Odin before resulted in factory data reset.
Why did this not happen on this device?
I'm using latest Odin & latest cm11 from the geniuses at maclaw studio.
Any ideas??

Try flashing stock ROM (No root) reroot, and see if the problem still exists.

Could be hardware fault? Since when did this start happening?
By any chance before flashing a custom rom did you turn button backlight off? If so, flash a stock/based rom, turn them on and flash your custom rom.
At least this solved for me 2 days ago which happened for the first time.

Thanks for the tip but no unfourtnately i didnt - i saw a topic after i posted that there are problems on some phones with these rom/recovery. :crying:
I posted this in the TWRP recovery topic:
I was on the CM11 rom and it is the same with any rom based on anything other than stock rom.
They blink a couple of times in the recovery and don't work at all in recovery but there are softkeys. In the rom/system it will take 30 seconds to a minute to work and they will blink until they work randomly.
I got it to work by flashing everything stock again (i had a wrong stock rom i think).
After i flash the TWRP or any other recovery the buttons will act weird and take about 30 seconds to a minute to work in the stock rom or any other stock based rom.
The buttons don't work in any other nonstock based rom on my I8190N.
Is there a fix to this?

CM13 Wi-Fi problem!

Since I installed CM13 Wi-Fi turns off (and can't be turn on) after each normal reboot (via power button menu). It begins to work again only after system reboot via TWRP recovery is done but bricks again after I turn my phone off or reboot normally. Is there any solution for this problem?
Please, guys, it really freaks me out.
Yes, solution is back to stock and all problems will be gone.

So, is it CM13 bug? Do you also had it? I see no point in reverting back to stock, because both KitKat and Lollipop versions have their own issues too.
What phone model and bootstack? Did you try a different bootstack?
That's cm bug AFAIK

try flash with odin.. same problem also after flash.. keep rebooting.. huhu
I am also experiencing a very similar thing. When on battery, the tablet boots up makes it to Android desktop then anywhere from seconds to a few minutes it will reboot and the cycle continues till the battery is completely drained. I have tried factory reset, flashing image via odin, clear cache, no changes. However, if I have the tablet connected to USB on PC works perfectly. If I plug it to a wall charger like the original Samsung wall brick it experiences the same reboot behavior. I've tried replacing the battery but it made no difference. Also tried different USB cables. I've run out of ideas. Any suggestions?
I have the same issue. It's driving me crazy...
Anyone solved it? It keeps rebooting and asks me smart switch but can't recognize it.
I have the same problem. Model SM-T713.

@bonuzzz, do you have any more information about the issue? How do you know it's not a battery problem and that flashing will fix?
Seems like others have tried flashing stock rom and still have the issue, so is it because they used the wrong stock rom?
I have just tried the solution from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/general/tab-s2-8-0-rebooting-t3734388/page2
First results are very promising...
I tried to reset the saved wifi connections as mentioned in another thread.
I couldn’t believe but that's the issue...
So if your tab-s2 works with wifi off, just remove your saved connections and replace them with new ones
EDIT: My T813 does random reboots again, even with wifi off. It lasted over a month with renewed wifi...
