[Q] Won't turn on...

Help. I was in a Facebook message conversation and I tried to send a picture from my phone to my friend. When I did so the screen turned black (notification bar was still visible) and nothing would respond, be it the power button, home button, whatever, nothing worked. So I held the power button until it turned off and and then tried to turn it on. It seemed to boot but after the splash screen I just got a black screen. I pressed the power button, the home and back keys flashed for a long while and then it turned off and now it won't turn on. If I plug it into the charger it also won't react, no charge light, nothing. It doesn't even get warm.
Right now I DO NOT have the money to get a new phone so if anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.:crying:
Oh, forgot to mention that everything is stock, no roots, no mods, no nothing.

What happens when you press the power button + the volume down button? That should normally bring you into the bootloader. From there you could do a factory reset.

Plug you phone into the computer, have a look in device manager does it say QHSUSB_DLOAD ?
if so you have a hard brick, theres 1 of 2 things you can do, you can try this and risk voiding your warranty (if its still under warranty......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770684
Or you can send it back to where you brought it and have it repaired / replaced.
Well, there's no warranty and sending it in would cost me around a hundred dollars in shipping plus the return shipping plus any repairs so that's not really a viable solution. The power button and volume down didn't work. I had actually tried it. Didn't get a chance to try the QHSUSB_DLOAD thing but I doubt it as I had gone through all the updates in sequence and the last one was whenever the Sense 6 update came out so it had been fine for weeks with no hitch.
Yesterday I went to the places that fix phones to see if any of them could help and then suddenly at one of them (the first one wanted me to leave it with them and I didn't feel they were trustworthy enough, the second was about to try to open it without even knowing how so I stopped him before he could break it, the third one wouldn't even look at it and suggested I send it in to the htc repair center which doesn't exist in this country). At the 4th place it miraculously started working but I don't know how long it will keep on that way.
Thanks for the help and the suggestions.

Black screen but touch screen works?

Hello, sorry if this has been answered, i did a search for black screen and didn't find the same thing.
Basically my nook hd+ is about 2 months out of warranty. When i try to power it on, i can see the screen light up but nothing is displayed (its all black and dims slightly). When i was messing with it trying to reset it, it started to read aloud the applications i touched on or button i pressed. So the touch screen is still working even though it's not displaying anything. I tried to hard reset it, by holding down the buttons and pressing the n twice, but that didn't seem to work either. Anyone got ideas?
Don't know what that is -> "holding down the buttons and pressing the n twice".
But if I had this problem I would...
Hold down the power button for >10 seconds as this completely turns off the device, then attempt to turn it back on.
And if that failed to work... let it sit and run out of battery, then plug it in to the wall usb adapter, let it charge for an hour, then try powering it on with the power button.
And if that failed to work, since its outta warranty, buy something that works.
But that's only what I would do

[Q] Htc one m7 black screen, green LED, constant vibration

Evening all. I'm new to these forums so please bear with me regarding technical terms and such, but this is a pretty urgent problem and any/all help would be greatly appreciated.
I went for a jog about an hour ago leaving my phone in the house and upon my return I tried to power on the screen and the only response I got was a vibration and a continuous Green LED showing.
Its a while on now and my phones screen is black and won't respond to the power button, and every 12 seconds it produces a vibration along with the greeen LED which only goes away a second or two before the next buzz. What do I do?

have you tried shining a bright light, like another led / flash on the back of another phone, into your phones light sensor whilst holding down the power button, this is a common problem with these phones, the light sense is the 2 dots on the left at the top of the phone.

try holding down power and volume down button at the same time to enter the bootloader. If that works then select factory reset using volume buttons and power buttons.

fastboot... Help

I've been charging the tablet for 4 hours. It still has a black screen that says fast boot in small letters. This didn't happen with the other one I purchased.
Does anyone have any advice? I want to give it to my daughter tomorrow!
Help!
If you've not been doing anything with it connected to a computer to install things I think you've accidentally pressed volume down when pressing the power button to turn it on.
If so press the power button until it turns off and then turn it back on with hands away from volume controls.
Hopefully just that

Black Screen, won't do anything.

Hello,
I have a rooted and TWRP installed but otherwise stock 5.something T710 that I had worked on months ago. It's been great and my daughter had been using it to watch videos a couple days ago. I took the tablet from her at the end of our road trip and noticed it had about 63% battery left. I left it in the truck while we went to the movies(about 40 degrees f outsides) and then drove home without ever touching it until we got home. I went to use it when we got home and it would not turn on. I plugged it in to let it charge thinking it died for some reason, using the stock charger, though battery icon never appeared. The next morning I went to check it and it still would not turn on.
When I press the power button or plug in or unplug the charger the Recent and Back soft key lights will turn on for a second, then turn back off again.
I've tried:
Holding the power button down alone for over 3 minutes.
Held the power and volume up button for over a minute
Power and volume down for over a minute.
Home, volume down and power for over a minute
Home, volume up and power for over a minute.
I can connect it to my computer and it recognizes that my Tab S2 is connected but no files show as the default for the device was just charging mode and not the file modes.
Odin3 v3.10.7 recognizes it as connected. But fails to send the TWRP file again.
Any help?
Since the soft keys light up and the computer recognizes the device, it sounds like maybe the tab is still working but with no display? By any chance did you have adb working? I f so you could try rebooting, or booting into recovery to see if you see anything on the screen. It's possible that when you held the button combos, that it did boot into download and recovery but you couldn't see anything? In which case it could be a hardware problem. Hopefully it will fix itself! Sorry I can't be of more help..
Well adb shows the device as unauthorized. Reboot command says the same thing.
The home key is unresponsive to my finger print unlocks and no sound plays when I try to adjust the volume, like the ding sound it makes to hear if this is the volume level I want. There are never any of the capacitive touch vibrations or whatever its called to feel when you press a button on the screen.
I was wondering if it had something to do with hardware it's just strange that it would stop working from just being in my truck. From my knowledge it was never dropped or bumped heavily or anything, at least recently.
I guess it is possible something just burned up inside, that would be inconvenient, I've got to look up if its still in warranty. I love the size and performance of this thing.
Thanks for replying, hopefully more to come.
Still can't get it to work, same issues as above. I let the battery fully die which took about 2+weeks from the initial post. Which is to say that eventually the back and recent buttons stopped lighting up. I recharged it and after holding the power button for a few seconds the same condition repeated itself. If I touch the power button or home button the back and recent button back lights turn on for a moment and turn off again. There is no other indication of life. I would assume if it was just a dead screen then I should feel it try to turn on.
If I had to replace parts which ones should I look at first? Probably just the main board?
Buy a new one. Send yours in as defect. Done.

I see that is an old thread, but I having the same issue to a certain degree. The screen goes dark, but I can see the back light. If I play around enough times, (pressing the back and process button, before pressing the sensor button... Sometime, pressing the volume buttons and back button before pressing the sensor button), everything goes back to normal. Of course, it some random time, even when I am reading a web page or some other activity, it will go back to black.
So has anyone figured out what this issue actually might be? I thought maybe it was an issue with the ROM I was using, so I just moved over to LineageOS 16, but the problem still continues!
