I hate it when I run into trolls too. They usually want you to answer some riddle or something... [emoji23]
Try hitting the mic button and saying, "avoid toll roads." you should be able to repeat with, "avoid highways," although I can't confirm the latter as I've never tried that.

Too many words. "avoid tolls" does it.

Ok, actually it's not random.
Exactly every 12 hours on the second (at 12 (PM) and 12 AM) a so called "toast" notification (the small grey pop up) tells me that GPS is turned off. The thing is, it's always off.
Anybody knows why this happens? It doesn't really bother me, but i'm really curious! Does the government track me (where's my tinfoil hat??) or is it simply a weird SW bug?
I don't have any strange or unpopular apps installed so it can't be spyware. Google told me nothing.
Any ideas? Thanks

Have you signed into latitude? I used to get a smiliar pop up saying Location not available or something, and it stopped when i signed out of latitude.
Yes it looks like i'm logged into Latitude. Logged off now, so we'll see what happens at 12 Thanks

Has anyone else got complaints from the person on the other end of their call that we sound either really far away or distorted? I seem to get it allot and different locations.

Try disabling voice privacy. Settings>Calls>Voice privacy. I'm using an EVO LTE so it might be different or might not

1- Watch that your pinky finger doesn't accidentally move over the microphone while you're holding it.
2- Check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262648
I currently have the team at HTC interested in this. The problem is their noise cancellation may be picking up your voice for just a moment while you switch ears, or move... then for up to 30 seconds, your voice is considered "background noise" and is filtered out mostly.
This frequency cut gives the impression that you're far away or in a tunnel. I'll update the main thread when I hear back definitively what their findings were, and if there will be a fix.
Workaround for now, is talk very consistently (don't alter volumes) and watch your positioning; don't talk to where the back of the phone could pick you up.
Title says it. It always worked no sweat on 4.2. Now whenever I have the headphone jack plugged in it doesn't register any voice commands or input at all. Kind of annoying if you use your phone while driving to listen to music. So my question is has anyone else noticed or can test theirs for me? Am I missing a toggle in the menus somewhere? It's really frustrating me.
- Nate
Saw this yesterday...Very frustrating as you said...This used to work in 4.2 right?
Yeah it definitely worked in the previous version.

Go in moto forums and tell them. That will be the fastest way to get fixed
Wow good to know that!! I always use it on my car with aux cable! If you talk to Motorola, please give us an update!

Just a little update today....it started working again. Sort of. I basically have to yell at my phone to get it to recognize ok Google now. So it does work, but not at all like it did.

Strange, mines works as normal. Had a text conversation today with my buddy while dodging shi**y traffic and Lady Gaga blaring (don't ask) and it didn't miss a word.

I can't open that link (despite being registered with Moto too). Were you ever able to get it to work normally again?
I have the same problem on my new Moto X and haven't found a solution anywhere.
Does anyone know have to disable the volume warning on rooted phones? I can find which file to edit.

I'm working on getting rid of this as well, keep me updated and I'll do the same with you. It's not the same file that was used to remove it on the GS4.
I literally want to vomit every time it comes up. Let me go deaf so I don't have to listen to my wife, thanks.

That crap is so annoying... We need to make a thread with all the build prop tweaks and edits.

I've used Tasker in the past to throw the volume to the max level. It was for detecting a bluetooth car stereo.

My wife? Tell me about it.
Just kidding.
I have used tasker in the past to do this, but I know I can do it without it - I just haven't had much time this week to do everything I've been hoping to do. Friday is a rare day off however, so i'll be breaking out the "code your face off" playlist and cracking this open.
FIND IT NAOOOO!!! lol
Is there a way to make home key respond to touch instead of press? That would be awesome.

No, that's not possible.
Too bad :/ I had it on iPhone 6 via jailbreak.

I assume this is just a ROM/kernel/libs issue and should be theoretically possible for the hardware if given full/open source from Samsung, right? Not that I'm expecting that, but just want to better understand the limitations. Cheers.
