Hello, I am currently running B361 on my L09C432 phone. I want to go back to Android 6.0 (for example to B182 or earlier, does't matter), but I don't know how.
I found (extremely hard) a B180 update.app, but when I put it in the "dload" folder and rebooted with "Vol +; Vol -; Power" keys the phone said that the update is corrupted and I can't install it.
Any ideas how can I go back to Android 6 ?
P.S.: Btw I did the C900B300 update that allows you to revert to Andorid 6, but sill doesn't let me install a B180 update.
In this URL http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91663&version=357998&siteCode=my you can download the downgrade file and instructions to do it.

Ive been trying to root and flash custom roms on my p9 and i finally give up. All i want to do now is get back to my stock firmware (L19C636). However i accidently flashed the wrong software through dload methoad. Moreover, this green red and blue screen pops up before the huawei loading screen and i do not know what to do. Plus, my bootloader is unlocked and i want to lock it back. Ive been trying for the past few days with no luck. Please help. Thanks in advance
Download a full OTA update for your device (eva-l19) and flash it via the dload folder force-update method (Vol+ and Vol-).
For me with flashing the EMUI 4 / Android M OTA the bootloader was restored.

Same here
I am also facing the problem????
I'm wondering how did you screw up even the Bootloader
Maybe you can post your 'home screen' to the contest
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/themes/post-huawei-p9-home-screens-t3389673
If you were on Nougat, you can try HWOTA7
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
Or even a deeper method HuRUpdater
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
Was anyone of you able to fix the problem? I'm facing the same problem. Just had the Huawei support on the phone.... they want me to send it in. I'd rather fix it myself though. Any ideas?
I've never rooted my phone or messed with it any way if i check with updater or hi care it says no updates available
My current version is EVA-L09C432B166 and i know the android 7 update has been out for the C432 for some time so what do i do?
You can flash it manually. Simply download the zip file, create a folder named "dload" to your sd card's main directory, copy the UPDATE.APP which is in the zip file to that directory, shut down your phone, open it up again by pressing volume up+volume down+power buttons simultaneously. This will bring up a simple installation screen and the rest will be handled automatically.
I suggest you to flash b362 update (not b378 update directly).
Note: After the whole procedure, you may want to do a factory reset. Just remember to back up your whole phone before doing these steps.
does anyone know what my update options are if I am still on EVA-L09GBRC555160 (Three UK)

I have downgraded to MM and it is far superior.
I had my P9 Plus (VIE-L09C432 B370) boot unlocked, rooted and running twrp recovery. Wanted to reset everything back before I sell it.
Tried to relock bootloader and flash stock rom. But that did not go well.
I can boot into Android, but lots of apps are missing (file manager, keyboard etc) and I can boot into fastboot.
Tried uploading /sdcard/dload/update.app and hold vol up+down + power. But the update process stops as 5% and the phone reboots.
Any tips on how to get the phone back in order?
Try this: boot into android and restore via huawei desktop software.

HiSuite says my device is incompatible when I try to restore when it's in fastboot. When in Android it says it does not need to restore. But now I'm stuck in a messed up B370 which has not keyboard (only google speech) and is missing lots of other apps as well.
What's the latest firmware that it will let me fully reset to (via vol up+down + power) and using sdcard/dload/?
I tried B360 which seemed to work, but it still came up with the messed up B370.
try to downgrade to marshmallow and then update to nougat, it should fix. I had your same issues and I fixed it flashing the "data_full" part of the firmware, but it was something like 10 months ago and I don't remeber the exact procedure and the files I used. If you downgrade to 6.0 iirc you take your p9+ back to stock settings (locked bootloader) and then you can update it to nougat with official huawei firmware via the updater app on the phone.
Could you provide any information on how to do that? The only firmware I've been able to get the updater past 5% is B360 full. Any other stops at 5% when I do the (vol up+down + power and update.app in /dload).
I've tried:
B160 (Marsmallows, fails at 5%)
B170 (Marsmallows, fails at 5%)
B360 (Nougat -> Goes to 100% and reboots, but device is still B370 with missing apps)
B370 (Nougat, fails at 5%)
Ok, so: download this https://mega.nz/#!wswElLwA!qhafrd_13kW8RjYUEjIXT2lxVEgh1DtjUF-DgzuzqlE
And this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533103863142914
Now, put the update.app that you find in the first rar in your dload folder on the SD. It must be the only file in the folder.
Dload your phone (vol+, vol-, power). Do this twice.
Boot your phone and check the serial number, it should be l09c900b300.
Power off the phone, replace the update.app in dload folder with the that you find in the secondo download link.
Dload the phone again and boot it, now you should be on emui 4.1 fw b103 with locked bootloader and valid warranty.
You can update the phone to nougat with stock updater if you want. I'm on mobile, so if the post is bad formatted well, sorry, I'll fix it when I can access a pc.
That's for the C900, I've got a C432. Won't that be an issue?
Files are for c432, mid procedure you get c900 cust which is the generic one.. after you flash the firmware (second file dload) you are back on c432
Hello.
I got a Huawei P9 L09 with an unlocked bootloader and after flashing a few roms onto it I noticed with the last two flashes that whenever I lock my phone it appears that the screen stays turned off no matter what and until I reboot the entire device. I only can see the screen after it's turned on, can still use it like normal until I lock the phone. I also noticed that I can't register fingerprints (even if I deleted the old ones before flashing a new ROM) any longer at the exact same time the black screen problem occurred.
I tried to run m00nlight before and with this ROM the problem already begun. Now I installed Bluewei (believing m00nlight had this one problem by itself but it didn't) and the same problem occurred again.
What did happen to my device? Did I miss something or do I need to flash a certain image to repair it?
Edit: I found that the finger prints still were set since Bluewei was installed. I could remove them and the fingerprint could be set again.
Greetings and happy new year.
Before installing ROMs (all cases except OTA updates), you must remove pin/fingerprint/password protection. Specially for custom ROMs like the above that flash over system partitions.
IMO, go back to stock ROM (and stock Recovery), rollback to b182 (no need to go down to b136). By few immediate OTA updates you will cone back to the latest b39x...
PS Try first a simpler solution: Completely disable lockscreen protection, wipe Dalwik and Cache. If it helps you can later re-enable lockscreen prtection
Sorry for my late response.
How do I actually do a rollback to b182? Do I need certain files or the stock rom b182 for that? And how do I install them?
I often tried to put the update.app into the dload folder on my SD and held Power + VolUp + VolDown, however it always said that the update failed, no matter what I tried.
If you are customization C432 here are the steps:
1. Download Rollback package http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92087&siteCode=sk =>Unzip it, move it to dload folder do the 3 buttons combo. This will change your customization to C900 which is called interflashable.
2. Then download http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91706&siteCode=sk =>Which is full firmware B182 (your customization will be normal again C432). Unzip it, move to dload folder and perform 3 buttons combo and voila, you are on B182
This will LOCK your bootloader and FORMAT(enrypt) data!
Hi all, here are my phone specs currently:
EVA L19
C636 B393
EMUI 5.0.1
Android 7.0
bootloader unlocked
magisk installed
The phone has been great for the past year, but yesterday I did a factory reset (maybe bad move, should have done TWRP wipe) and there are no essential apps anymore like camera, calendar, and the rest.
I've been scouring the forums looking for a solution but most of the download links are dead.
Tried to do an update via HiSuite but nothing happened after installing.
Any other ideas? I don't want to install a custom ROM as I prefer the stock camera app.
Thanks!

Try deleting Dalwik and Cache from TWRP or deleting Cache from eRecovery (switch off, connect to charger!!!, press and keep pressing Vol+, boot by Pow)
You could also try again Factory reset immediately followed by Wipe cache - both from eRecovery
There is also an option in eRecovery: Install latest firmware, you can try but not sure would it work since Huawei apparently removed P9 firmwares from their servers
Otherwise, you would need to find (it was easy in the past when FirmwareFinder worked), download and reinstall your EVA-L19c636 b393 (or newer)
Hey there, factory reset from both phone and TWRP didn't work. eRecovery can't find package info too.
So I downloaded the firmware now and put the dload folder on my SD card but I can't force it to update. When I press the vol keys +- and power, it just says "your phone is unlocked and can't be trusted etc..." and then just boots normally. I can't access ProjectMenu using the *#*# codes either.
Any other ideas how to flash this firmware?

Unfortunately, no other idea but try to find DLOAD package.
Several other users asked similarly, pleas see the other recent posts here for P9 - but generally, it will be hard because Huaweu removed firmwares from their server.
See in those other threads/posts for alternative catalogs.
Unfortunately, c636 is relatively rare, consider rebranding to c432 - and again, look to thoso other threads, recent questions and answers
That's where I'm stuck though... even if I have the firmware I can't force update it by the button method of the secret codes method...
I'll try to flash via fastboot and hopefully it works.
Update: got the C636 firmware and the flashing steps here:
