This is a pretty common problem, I don't know if this was fixed or not, but if anyone hast this issue, freeze "OneplusPocketMode 1.0" in Titanium Backup, then reboot.
But what if you want to use pocket mode?
Or has it nothing to do with this app?
Because you can turn of pocket mode in settings
If you really want it you can use Lord Boeffla's implementation of it, but I have it frozen and there is no battery drain or any other issues. I would much rather prefer to have it on all the time rather then for it to not work sometimes
Or you can use this: [APP] [ROOT] [N-7.1.1] PocketMode || All ROMs Compatible
By rituj26,
It may not only be Lineage. On Stock OOS 4.0.2 the other morning my fingerprint reader wouldn't respond at all. It was like Doze mode from the night had cut its power to conserve battery.
That is weird, I never had any issues with stock OOS, so I'm afraid I can't help you

Hi all!
I tried searching the forum for similar issues. Sorry if exists.
I have a Galaxy S (I9000XXJPP) which i updated to 2.2 Froyo through Kies. Everything went well, Froyo seems to be running ok but i do have a big problem: battery performance. It drains in only a few hours. in standby it goes from 100% to 10-15% over the night. Before the update it took more than 2-3 days.
I looked on other forums and there are others with the same problem.
Some said it was because of the Wifi sleep policy which i changed to "When screen turns off" but in vain.
Of course i don't have any apps that drain the battery.
Anyone got to the problem and solved it?
Its probaby the Gallery sensor problem
Go replace the Gallery app with a fixed/bugfree version. Need root and root explorer to do it. Its all over the forums just look
so this sensor works in the background and drains the battery this much?
sorry but i didn't find any thread similar...
Gallery and email seem be causing the most issues. Its very common and appears to happen on quite a few different ROMS.
SGS tools has a fix for an alternative gallery.apk which you can try (you will need to be rooted though). You can download SGS tools from the market.

i wouldn't root it. might be problems with the warranty after.
anyway not sure what i did but may battery is back to normal. stopped the auto rotation for a while then activated it back and didn't use the gallery.

z4root allows you to do a temporary root, but again thats up to you.
Your best solution, if it is the gallery causing the issue is to simply not use the gallery and find an alternative in the market to download.
i did just that. stopped auto rotation, downloaded just pictures from the market but still the other night went again from 70-80% to 0. it's weird sometime the battery is drained like hell but sometimes it's normal. i need to find the cause.
any way to get back to 2.1?
You can download a generic 2.1 ROM from samfirmware.com and flash it with ODIN.
Also, if there isnt an official Froyo for your product code yet, you can use the KIES Reg hack application to restore it back to 2.1.
same problem - battery drains extremly fast (Froyo 2.2).
diasbled push mail - battery still drains..
have no idea what to do.......
I faced the same "over-night" problem...I thought that background apps done that, but it seems that after turning off data network the life-time of my battery almost went from less than a day to about 4 full days. Maybe the signal strength was an important issue (indoor, I have about 2-3 signal lines). Also mail/calendar/weather/etc continuous updates drain the battery...
To summerise, If you have battery draining problem just root your device and install SGS Tools 4.0x and goto Patched Stock Apps in it and install the Gallery3d app which will replace your stock but buggy gallery. Also the Camera update is great imho as it allows you to use power button as camera shutter. Now If you do not want to root or so anythign drastic then just NEVER use Gallery and download JustPicutres! from market (Free) and use that from now on. Easy
I had this same issue. After updating froyo via Kies, battery life dropped from normal 2 days to less than 24 hours. With 3G disabled as well as sync.
But, what's even more strange, is that when I got frustrated enough and flashed back to JM2 with Odin, the same problem still existed! Only 24 hours or less, every time. Same happened with JM9 I tried after that.
Been trying these battery resets and stuff without success. Has anyone come into any sort on conclusion, what could be the reason for these battery-draining issues, especially AFTER updating/flashing?
Note 4 Bell Canada
Updated 5.0.1
Day 3 Extra Info
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Full day at work 85% battery at the end
Google Chrome PC and Android bookmark history sync works perfectly
Wifi hotspot works perfectly every time ... no dreaded "Limited connectivity" like I used to see with the GS3
Fast charging is awesome .... with the stable battery usage of Note4 with 5.0.1 it is so easy to keep this phone charged.
Bad: My phone keeps taking screenshots when I am on the lock screen and I don't know why.
Day 2 Extra Info:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Good:
As far as I can tell everything works.
Bluetooth dropouts during locked state drastically reduced ..... sometimes stutters once a few seconds after lock and none observed after (JVC Car Audio Unit)
Menu multitask key is just as snappy as before (I had already disabled Google talkback)
Battery life is great ..... At 6*% after a full day at work ..... my GS3 was often near zero after a ful day in the same location
I can now give permissions to write to a microSD card
Standby battery life is great ...... charged 100% went to sleep .... woke up at 98% (My GS3 would be somewhere between 60 and 70% same location)
Every app I have is behaving normally
The Bad:
I got one random Google + forced close so far (that is no so bad I guess)
Update Process: Smooth as silk, no crashes, no lockups, no forced closures
The UI: New notifications are great, a lot of little improvements including and x if you want to close an app
Performance: same as before ... great no keyboard issues yet, no issues with toggling things on and off, Chrome scrolls web pages smoothy
Apps: All apps seem to work ... no forced closes
Battery: no obvious differences ... to early to tell
Things Fixed: My bluetooth connection stuttered like crazy in the car if the phone was locked .... seems like this was fixed in 5.0.1 ....
Seems like the max volume is louder now
I'm on Bell too and my experience is very similar to yours. So far I'm very happy with the update. No problems and I'm enjoying some of the new changes.

1. Power Saving on/off from setting not working. (No changes when u slide on the slider to on/off, only working via notification toggle)
2. GPU thermal throttling for benchmark. (I'm not a fan of benchmarking, but it's interesting to see the 3D behaviors on 5.0.1 unable to perform as what it should be if the phone temperature not cold enough)
3. Waze graphical glitches.
These are some of the possible bug that I realized and it need to be fixed in the next update.
However, overall experience still not that bad. The main issue for me now is the Waze graphical glitches which force me to temporary using Nokia Here Map at the moment.
I'm on BOC3 Malaysia. You may take a look on my signature for version information.

I'm from Malaysia too. But i don't have power saving problem.
Wake did not work properly.
Recent apps slower than before. Like 2 second lag.
No more option to change lockscreen animations
Data usage unable to view data usage in short period of time.
Some features were removed after upgrade.
Only useful additional thing is smart lock
Sent from my SM-P605 using XDA Premium HD app
As on 5.0.1, there are Pros & Cons.
Pros:
1. The finger print now is much much better than Kitkat
2. Feel like a bit faster.
Cons:
1. The Bluetooth is not so clear like on Kitkat and time to time no voice even if still on Bluetooth connecting. (Already try to unpair and repair, still not ok)
2. A bit warmer than Kitkat.
3. Eat more RAM than before
4. After sync calendar with Kies, all calendar on device are gone but still existing in outlook calendar.
Remark: I'm on SM-N9100 DUOS
Anyone having trouble with super su not granting privilege after rooting in G ?
I hate the lag and switch between screens on the brightness slider. I've gone back to kk
My experience has been great when it works (smoother UI, better battery life surprisingly).
One major issue though. 3 times, the phone rebooted overnight. All three times, it was while it was plugged into the charger, and it was stuck on the SAMSUNG logo (with bubbles animation). But I cannot get past it, and trying to restart via holding down the power button does not work.
Has anyone else experienced this yet?
Finally. Me too. Samsung Lollipop Update Problem

I AM experiencing this. I honestly think this update has broken my phone. My Samsung Galaxy S4 - when turned on, stays on the logo screen. Luckily for you it doesn't always do that but my phone won't even fully start up so I haven't been on it for two days. I really suggest you back up your phone because there may be a chance of it not turning on ever, like mine and a few phone shops are saying I need to completely wipe it. Does anyone know how to help? It would mean the world, thanks!
Battery life pretty disappointing. getting a good 10-14 hours under light usage. Heavy usage is out of the question if I'm leaving the house.
I downloaded the update yesterday and until now I must say it's amazing. Problems I had before with kitkat are gone. The speed is much faster. It's all so smooth and flat. I like it. I can't understand why everyone has issues with it. I'm using Note 4 SM-N910F.
Hello all,
I recently started installing lots of ROMs and Kernels for my G800f. I quickly noticed I always had common issues with those.. I don't know if I"m the only one, I searched a lot for answers without success so maybe you can help me Here are the problems:
-The phone heats up for no apparent reasons, especially the top right corner of the screen. (being on whatsapp didn't heat my phone that much when I was on stock ROM) (This happens even before installing third party apps). I read on some forums it could have something to do with NFC but the fixes never worked in my case.
-The battery drains so quickly (I guess this has something to do with the previous) (I tried to clean up my battery hardware ports etc...) (This happens even before installing third party apps)
-Big camera issues : on snapchat, when I focus by tapping, everyhting slows down and the app becomes unuseable. On the camera app, I get an "Camera disconnected" error randomly. I saw on the forums that this is a problem with the media servers but please tell me what you think )
I can't just stay on my touchwiz stock rom because it's tooo slooooow to handle stuff like pokemon go (in CM13, pokemon go runs lightning fast). Everything is just better on a aosp custom rom, but It's impossible for me to have my phone heat and drain my battery while not having a reliable camera... I hope you will help me find a solution!!
Thank you in advance,
Netapy
Do you have the same problems with stock ROMs afters a factory reset? It looks like a hardware problem, maybe dying battery, of you still have these issues then probably it's the cause. If not it's software related.
Mypixel 4xl sometimes randomly shuts down I think an app, may be responsible.
Ampere says my battery is good.
im bootloader unlocked running 12 beta.
but it was shutting down before 12 beta i wiped everything.
was fine for 2 weeks now its doing it again.
anyway to arrange apps by date,so i can see what may be causing this?
I would flash factory stock again and wait a while before installing any root apps. It may be hardware related, or battery connection related. Meanwhile keep an eye on battery temp. Any chance you were outside in the heat when the phone shut down? The other thing you could try would be to put it in safe mode. If it does it in safe mode it is more likely hardware.
So I have a similar problem after installing the latest security update... My phone pixel 4 xl was just fine prior, but now it will turn off randomly when the screen goes off (or is locked to turn the screen off). I can only turn the phone back on after I plug it in to a charger. Interestingly, the battery and phone will keep running and the battery will drain normally so long as I keep the screen/interaction active. Ideas? Thinking about flashing a custom ROM. This phone is stock and nothing has been done to it. I also reset to factory to see if that was the fix, but no joy. Help?
@Springcrime
If the problem remains after a factory reset, you very likely have a hardware issue. The two main battery related issues are 1) the battery connection issue (abnormal or stuck battery percentages) , and 2) the swollen battery issue (no wireless charging, back glass separation (it's not easy to see). Flashing a custom ROM will only add multiple variables that will not solve the problem over restoring the phone to factory stock like you have already. As a last ditch effort, you could flash the phone with a full image and letting it wipe (don't edit the flash-all.bat). If that doesn't fix it you probably need to starting thinking any warranty options, or repair.

Normally I'd agree with that advice, but this literally and noticeably occured immediately after installing the latest security update. As a test, I've been running the battery down with videos, so long as I ensure I don't manually lock or turn the screen off, the battery has drained normally. No crashes or shutdowns while actively using the phone. Wireless charging works fine, and no visible swelling. Any other ideas? I joined the beta 12 program for the hell of it to see if that changes anything... Currently waiting for the push to my phone so I can download it.

Try disabling the screen lock.
Double check all security settings.
As for all updates, if the OS is running fast and stable... leave it be.
Pie and above are pretty secure unless you do something stupid. As you can see a malware forced factory reset be less trouble than an update induced one. In 7 years of using mostly outdated android OS's never once did I need to do a factory reset because of malware.
My current Pie load is over a year old running fast and stable. It hasn't been updated in over 1.5 years... and it won't be.
It's impossible to get BH to install the latest ROM, and even I don't wanna judging from Google crappy OTA updates.
I only update for security not anything else though.

So far so good on the screen lock. I wonder if it has anything to do with the facial recognition feature (which I enabled at the same time after the update). We'll see how this goes!

Meh, play with it. Usually you'll figure out what's going on... they are complicated little devils.
Have any of you updated to the new version? Is it stable now? Does everything work fine?
A month ago I got a prompt to update to the then new android12 update but a lot of things were broken. Some apps I need(like nubank) wouldn't open for no apparent reason and the system was overall less responsive. Not to mention the NFC function was removed for no reason.
I had to go through the process of downgrading using a tutorial in this forum because the rollback package they provided was for the indian variant, so I'd rather know for sure that everything is OK before I update again
I don't know if this is any help, but I've updated to c.06 in the past without it breaking anything. I've updated to c.07 now, and it seems stable to me personally.
maybe try a factory reset before updating? I haven't done that myself btw

Hi, thanks for your response. Did you notice any drop in performance or battery life after you updated? Any problems with fingerprint, nfc, etc?

No prob. Performance has been very snappy so far. Battery is holding up great and charges as fast as before. Fingerprint en nfc are working fine.
The only annoying thing I've noticed (but maybe that's an Android 12 thing) is that the option for usb-tethering is missing from the pop-up screen when I plug my phone into my laptop. So I have to go into the settings screen to turn it on.

Coming back to report that I've updated, and while everything seems to be working fine I have noticed a drop in battery life which is quite annoying. Otherwise the rom runs smoothly and I've only noticed a small bug which sometimes prevents me from swiping up to close apps on the recent apps screen
in Realme 3.0 C.07 HDR10 Support removed for no reason.
Hello,
I also can confirm that "Allways On" is missing options on this new update...
C7 seems to be very more unstable than C6...
There is a new version out TODAY.... C08.
Best Regards,
LPC
C.07 was buggy. C.08 is even more buggy.
C.08 bugs:-
Device hangs alot.Battery draining more. Many apps aren't responding well (ex- YouTube etc.) C.06 has HDR but it even not available in C.08.
I will downgrade it to rui 2.0
Almost all alarm clock and notification apps stopped working reliably - missing alarms all the time
