Hi.
I've seen a Moto X xt1097 here over in the UK but I thought the XT1097 only worked on American bands (AT&T)? When I spoke to the seller he assured me it will work here?
Is this right?
I've looked into it more and the bands seem to be compatible with the UK.
Well I managed to cancel the sale before it was sent out in the post. From what I have read the XT1097 is stuck on Lollipop and didn't get an official MM release because it was carrier locked to AT&T. Also the bootloader is a pita to unlock and it costs $25 to do.

So I think my phone is build in Mexico i bought it cheap on ebay, unfortunately update seems to be slower outside of US. I just wondering if there is way for me to flash system version to US T-mobile or something?

Sorry if it was answered before, but I could not find it.
I'm trying to figure which model is sold on Amazon as Motorola Moto X - 16GB, Unlocked Phone - US Warranty - Black
here (cannot post link - the id is B00E92AV2W)
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com - so I assume it is not resold by some merchant.
The questions I have:
1) Is it 1053, 1058, or some other model? A tried asking on Amazon with no luck.
2) How it will receive Android updates? As it's not tied to a carrier, will it be directly from Motorola?
3) Is it the same design as black/plain black back/silver accents from motomaker?
4) Is there any logo on the back? Apart from moto's
5) Does it have unlocked (unlockable) bootloader?
Thanks everyone who could help!
If it's listed as GSM unlocked, it's probably the XT1053. The XT1058 is the AT&T branded version.
No logo and no carrier bloat on the 1053. It will probably come with a T-Mobile SIM.

The US motorola site lets you purchase a Moto G (Global GSM) model at the same price of 199$ for the 16GB one.
I was wondering if its possible to buy a Moto X (XT1052) UK edition (with LTE 1800mhz) from the US at around the same price (329$).
The Moto X if bought in UK converts to around 550$ which is prohibitively high and you don't get the customization options as well.
I wouldn't say so, whoever Motorola's distributor is in the UK wouldn't be over joyed by that.
Are you in Europe or USA?

Yup, ebay. but for that price probably only used ones. Hope that helps!
Also, you could see which US versions match your bands since they're on sale for cheap for another week.

Am in Asia actually and am trying to have a friend in the USA buy it from Motomaker. And the LTE band used here is band 3 (1800), which the UK Moto X (XT1052) has.
The used UK models on ebay are double the price of a brand new US moto x. Guess I'll have to skip LTE.
I am in Ireland and to get a 32gb Dev Edition, I had to buy from the USA. I won't need LTE for probably 2 years.
Mine including shipping cost me €320
There are people in Ireland and on Ebay looking for €600 for them!!

I want to buy a Moto X 2014 (32GB). But I live in Poland and this phone isn't available in my country. I'm thinking about buying XT1096 Verizon, but I have a few questions:
1. I read that this version haven't block card SIM. It's a true? Can I use my own card SIM (from Poland)?
2. I want to buy phone from this seller . If I choose teak wood or black wood, I will have this ulgy inscription "Verizon" or not? Yes, I know, this is a question for seller, but eBay is a black magic for me and I don't know how do this...
3. Third matter - bootloader. I read in this page - - I will be able to unlock bootloader. Also I read about problems with VoLTE. Phone from link is a VoLTE, or normal version? There will be problems?
4. ROM. I want to have Android 6. But I'm looking AOSP or another pure ROM, because I want to install Xposed. What will be the best?
And what I should know about this version in my situation?
I use it in Europe either and everything works fine.
You can unlock the bootloader and then flash the stock 6.0 of xt1095 (the pure edition), it is very good rom and I used it for half a year.
Just recently I flashed nexus experience which feels much better for me.
You can have xposed on both.
About the ugly 'verizon' inscription , yes you will have it no matter what. This is xt1096, Verizon's version.
Remember that custom ROMs don't support Moto apps such as Display and Voice, which are among this phone's main selling points and do not have any real alternatives
@OrenGazala and @Flipz77, Yours answers are very helpful. Big thanks! I forgot paste link to eBay seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Verizon-Unl...hash=item3602a50d3a:m:m5feJrL_YfuqhdKODPEUR0g.
On the picture phone don't have this ugly inscription so I ask. And is this phone 'normal' or VoLTE?
Have you looked at the XT1095 Pure Edition? They are factory unlocked and do not have any carrier branding such as Verizon. I bought mine used on Swappa for a lot less than that link on eBay.
I'm looking at buying another one for a friend of mine who lives in the UK and I'm trying to make sure that the LTE bands will be compatible with his network. It seems that Europe mostly uses 800, 1800 and 2600. The XT1096 has 1800 and 2600 while the XT1095 has only 1800, however my friends network (Three) uses only 1800 and 800 so the lack of 2600 isn't an issue for him, however the lack of 800 could be. But I'm not sure and I don't know how to find out.
Might want to look into what bands your local operator uses in Poland.
I'm looking to buy a used T-Mobile variant of the Moto X XT1053. What do I ask the seller to check to determine if he/she has the T-Mobile variant of the XT1053 and not the Developer Edition? How do you tell them apart easily?
If the seller bought the phone from Motorola's website, would that help? Did Motorola sell only the Developer Edition, or did they also sell the T-Mobile version? I don't remember how Motorola sold the 2013 phone back then.
Thanks very much!
