Try unlocking your bootloader from motorola site, last o heared Verizon started too unlock bootloader of x2 from mototola site. If you can unlock bootloader do it and after that flash xt1092 rom it will pass through.

Since he is stuck in fastboot, I assume not.
Just reflash stock whatever firmware you were on before you tried upgrading. You can do this with all fastboot commands. Your phone is far from a "paper weight" if you can still get into fastboot, most classify this as a "soft brick."
Instructions on flashing the stock firmware can be found on the Moto X FAQ. https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/help/wip-frequently-questions-moto-x-2014-t2876769
Alternatively, I'm a huge fan of House of Moto: http://www.droidrzr.com/topic/61124-house-of-moto-43/ - automates a lot of the flashing process for you. I like to always have an install of House of Moto ready to roll incase of soft bricking.

Sounds like you probably aren't using the correct firmware version.

[HELP] XT1096 on Verizon and not able to unlock bootloader

As subject states.
Just got an RMA for my bricked MotoX (2014)/XT1096 and for whatever reason this one says it cannot be unlocked via the Motorola website. Anyone else having problems?
The plot thickens...just booted into Fastboot, and I remind you, this is a brand new phone - "Software status: Modified".
Chatting with customer service right now.
Double check the token code while pasting ,
Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk
mtoomey, did you have any luck?
I have the exact same problem (with repaired moto x) and the person I chatted didn't even think vzw moto x can be unlocked. So yeah...that didn't get me far...

Could it already have the bootloader unlocked?
Maybe try to fastboot TWRP?
I had to go through customer service (all the way up to the lead tech or whatever) to get a code, but it worked.
So if anyone else is in this situation, just call and keep insisting that it's possible to unlock the bootloader and get transferred until you get someone who knows something (nothing against CS reps - they aren't given the knowledge to actually handle these kind of requests)

Impossible to flash for fastboot-rsd lite!

Hello, I have a moto g 2014 xt1063 , from a friend who gave it to me to repair it (which left me with no more remedies to consult, since I read everywhere and still, I do not find any solution)
The phone gave me already in fastboot mode, with different errors to enter the recovery (boot up) and no way to install a stock, since in all I get "FAILED (remote failure)"
In the roms that I have tried (the ones that are supposed to be stocks for this type of phone). The skinny to know nothing android, I did not know in which stock version was (if 4.4.4 or 5.0.2) I put a fastboot getvar all and I throw this:

I assumed by what I said that it was a 4.4.4 download from here, the stock firmware, however as I said above the blessed error in the fastboot FAILED (remote failure)
In each command set, the bootloader is unlocked. I already probe with fastboot oem fb_mode_clear, and other things reviewed in xda. I do not know what else to do ... Any solutions? (Clarify the bootloader also throws me the error (bootloader) Failed to flash partition recovery, but by reading does not matter said error)
Now at the moment, after several attempts, I get this "fastboot reason: failure-through from boot boot mode" error.
Try to put a TWRP recovery for titan (do not try some cyanogen), since the errors when flashing the recovery are the same that always throw me.
If you need more information, let me know.
Sorry for my horrible English. I speak Spanish, by the doubts.
From already thank you very much!

You must have the unlock.bin from motorola official site to unlock bootloader.
After send the unlock.bin to your mail you move it to adb folder etc.

The problem is that I do not even receive the code to unlock, before that happens it already appears that "could not get unlock data!" Which makes it impossible for me to unlock

Did you enable Developer Options by going to Settings, About, tap Build Number 7 times, then go back, enable allow bootloader unlock and Android Debugging.

Do this just to get some info, no need to paste it here:
fastboot getvar all
In bootloader mode of course.
EDIT: You can get the latest fastboot and adb from here:

Looks like your bootloader is older, but it shouldn't matter, I think I unlocked mine before the Android 6.0 update, I then relocked it, and unlocked it again a second time. I'm sure a lot of RETBR phones have been unlocked around here. I just can't see what the problem is. But don't try downgrading, you may brick the phone. I don't know what else to suggest. I'm sure you've installed the Motorola USB drivers, but I don't think that's the issue.
Try the Motorola (Lenovo) forums, you can submit your getvar to them, and they will send you an unlock code in a few days:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/230/thread-id/2654/page/1
Good Luck!
They have forums in Portugese.

pls help,I cant use my phone now. Before I unlock the bootloader I have been flashed the 6.0 stock rom which was donwloaded from the firmware.center, but it is not working. Now I try to flash to 5.0.2 stock rom,but it occurs some messages like "downgrade for boot" "version downgraded for primary gpt" "preflash validation failed"......It upsets me so much. If you can help me out of the annoying question,I will apprecite you very much!!!!
First of all. NEVER downgrade the bootloader.
Flash the latest FW(its the latest for yours, maybe you downloaded the older 6.0 version).
https://firmware.center/firmware/Mo...BS24.65-34-5_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
You cannot downgrade your OS, when your BL state is locked
[HELP]Moto g2014(XT1079) unlock "your device does not qualify for bootloader
Thank you,I have tried all the stock roms, but none have succeeded and I make sure these are the latest ones. I just can only get through the unlock BL and then reflash the 5.0.2 rom.
The latest ones, OK - but are you sure they are the right ones?
Because you're in the wrong forum. Your phone is a Thea (Moto G 2014 comes in two flavors) - I bet you are trying to flash ROMs for Titan.

and it occurs some messages like "downgrade for boot" "version downgraded for primary gpt" "preflash validation failed"

My XT1063 goes "failed to validate boot image"

I am stuck in the AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S). Recovery, Factory, BP Tools doesn't function, giving the same line "failed to validate xxx image". I can't flash stock ROMs through fastboot commands, all of those were "Failed". The bootloader lock can't even be unlocked, same reason above. Anybody from XDA can help me with this? I desperately tried almost everything on the forum and nothing has progressed so far. Here is the getvar-all information of my device:

I used this video:youtu.be/Jav4tIv5sCI

Did you downgraded the ROM of your device? The one which comes out of the box? The chances are this happens when you flash downgraded Stock flash files on upgraded bootloader. Try flashing latest factory image available for your device and firstly re flash partition, boot, recovery and bootloader files. Then go for all other flash files serially. This solution 'might' help. Otherwise there's nothing you can do.

Sorry, I was quite busy with my mid-semester. I tried it out and it didn't work. I guess it is dead now. However, I am thinking about breaking the phone, turning it into a hard-brick state and then reincarnate it back to life. Is it possible?
