How to fix touch on touchscreen after root ruined it - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Just wondering what can be done to try and make touch work again on the touchscreen after it stopped working when root was attempted.
Similar to what's said in this thread, the touchscreen stopped working after trying following this guide to root and install pre-rooted firmware.
Is there anything that can be done to 'restore' or 'reset' the phone to try and get touch working again?
Many thanks.

[Q] LG Optimus 2X touchscreen not responding

Hey Guys,
I was installing a weather widget for my O2X and he could'nt find my location.
So i tought I'll reboot my O2.
When i rebooted my phone, the touchscreen wasn't working anymore.
But before I reboot my phone it did.
So now when I turn on my device it boots, and I can see everthing : Statusbar, Lockscreen etc.
But when I try to unlock it it's not responding to my touch.
So i did a full wipe and installed the ROM again but, it wasnt working again.
So then I downloaded CM10.1 for my phone and flashed it but still not working.
Anyone got and idea?

Exactly what happened to me
Same thing has happened to me
I have the Wind Optimus 2x. So it will be different then what other have experienced.
Basicly I had the latest CM7 installed and I wanted to upgrade to ICS so I used the tool to repartition the device. I got ICS installed fine but the screen doesn't work anymore. I flashed back to stock with nvflash perfect and but screen doesn't work at all.
If anyone can look into these touchscreen problems or has any experience it would be appreciated.
it seems that is not problem in hardware, the problem is in software...
please try to do full wipe in recovery than try, maybe is virus, or something else

[Q] Touch not working after firmware update : Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300

Hi all,
This is my first post in xda-developers.
Yesterday I was having fun trying out the secret codes (like *#*#4636#*#*) and tried out the touch screen code. Then clicked on update (firmware).
Then the touch was not working. I tried taking out battery and putting it back on. Tried factory reset after backing up data with Kies. Tried rooting the simplest way. Tried to flash using Odin with a recovery and pit file. Still nothing is working.
Could you please help me recover?
Thanks,
KK
Knock knock
Hi I tried rooting, added clock work mod then installed custom ROM (MakDroid v2). Touch is still not working. Please help.
I have hit a wall now, DESPERATE
I tried to install Stock ROM today using ODIN and did it without any effort.
But touch screen is still not working. Please help, somebody, pls.
Other steps done
I have flashed a new kernel (BlackStar) using cwm and now the custom ROM running is Explode build 5.
The touch screen issue is still not fixed.
I checked in the dev folders for touch drivers but it is not there. Or am I looking at the wrong place? Could you please tell me if the touch drivers can be reflashed for Galaxy Pocket.
Or should I try downgrading to a firmware and upgrade using Kies again?
I know, lots of questions.
Touch driver help please
I really think my touch driver is missing. Could you please advice how to flash just the touch driver?

[Q] Xperia T compass sensor problems

Hi! I recently bought a Xperia T and got into a problem, the magnetic sensor. I downloaded a compass app and tried it and than kboom.. Restart.. Every time I try I get the same result, Android is restarting. Could it be a software problem or hardware one? It didn't work since I bought it so I thought rooting might help so I rooted it by installing a custom kernel after unlocking the bootloader.. Everything went well.. No problems during unlocking the bootloader or flashing the new kernel.. The device works perfectly until I try something that needs my compass.. Than the system crashes or idk but I would like to fix it..
Anybody here got any solution?
I followed this guide but had no luck.

Replacement Touch Screen Not Working?

Hi,
I don't know if any can help me at all please?
I just replaced the Touch Screen & Frame on my UK Xperia Z1
The process was fairly straightforward and everything went back together just fine but although the phone powers on ok and the display is good it will not respond to any touch? I have completely redone my work to check I had not missed anything but I still have the same problem. I have loaded stock KitKat & Lollipop but to no avail. I can use the phone with a mouse/keyboard without a problem but absolutely no touch response at all..
I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks
Try to flash a stock rom via flashtool.
I have a similar problem, any rom flashed via fastboot will cause the touchscreen not to respond

LG l90 405. First time touch screen issues after installing cwm

At the beginning, sorry for my English.
I flashed ( i think that is good word) custom roms a lot of time before. But two days ago my problem was appeared. I had cm13 on my lg l90 and everything worked fine and then i did an update of cm13. I reboot my phone and I saw that my touch screen in not calibrated properly. I tried flash rom a lot of times but no results. Then i totally recover my stock rom by LG flash tool and kdz file and everthing works fine, so i think that digitizer is fine. I tried to flash custom rom again, but this time i flash resurrection remix rom. So i rooted my phone ( still everything works fine) then i installed TWRP, and again bad touch screen calbration returned. I tried a few versions of TWRP and also CWM but no results. Im still trying fix that problem. If I find the solution then i write about it.
Cheers
Look for a thread about this problem (digitizer calibration or something like that), some were able to fix using a built-in app and then updating the digitizer firmware. If I record correctly you must be on stock ROM tho...
I saw a lot topics about calibration and I didn't found a solution. I also tried touch screen calibration apps from play store. Seriously, i don't know whats going on, few days ago phone work properly after installing cwm or something.
Did you try the tip from the thread bellow?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/help/touchscreen-unresponsive-lockscreen-t2969174
It has worked for some people. Of course, you must use 405 in the code, not 410.
Edit: it only works on stock ROM.
when I was at 13 cm, the right screen I can not be in touch. after my return to rom 5.0.2, the bottom screen I can not be in touch, but the screen on the right will be in touch. I'm confused, what should I do? Help me
