Bootloop after rooting CrDroid - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

I Installed the latest 2.1 crDroid today, the ROM is smooth and almost everything works perfectly fine. So I decided to install the substratum theme engine, and it failed and because it couldn't get the root privileges. Then I came to know that the ROM itself is not rooted and tried to flash super su 2.4.6. zip in order to root it.. but instead it gave me bootloop... can anyone confirm if they faced the same?
Thanks in advance

CM 11 erros.

Hello,
I installed CM11 on my galaxy s gti9000. All went fine but I get some errors. I tried one nightly build and I constantly got this error: " Unfortunately media manager has stopped." Now with the latest build Download manager isn't working, neither does the gallery. I get a similar error. I can disable those apps but I'll not be able to download apps from google play store. I'm certain that I did something wrong as I'm a newbie in this stuff. Any help?

I think it was from 2.3 as the tutorial said. It was like a month ago so I'm not sure... Is there anyway I can downgrade to a good version and then install CM11 again? If yes, what version do you recommend me?

Actually, downgrade doesn't seem to be necessary in your case. I would on your place first try to install ROM again as "clean installation" and it should work well.
download latest CM11 nigtly ROM
download Gapps from the opening post
paste the files on the root folder of either internal or external SD card of your i9000
reboot to recovery mode
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache (under "advanced")
install zip CM11
install Gapps
reboot
enjoy
Any news about your CM11-Installation??? Does it work now with clean-install-tutorial ???

Hello, sorry for late response. I did a clean install as suggested with the 29 december nightly rom and everything works great now. Before the install, I was getting another error, something with android.process.media has stopped working and I deleted every media file on my internal sdcard because I had lots it (few hundreds I think). I don't know which solution worked but everything works fine now. Thx for the support.

No problem, thanks and great to hear that your CM11 now works as desgined :good:
The media-process sometimes makes problems, you can clean data and a few time later it will start again searching for media files ...this should work ...

SuperSU 2.66 beta on Shamu

Please write your experience with SuperSU 2.60 / 2.61 / 2.62-3...2.66 on Shamu.
2.56 didn't work on my unlocked, unencrypted 6.0.0 (MRA58R)
Systemless 2.62-3 with works as a charm with my 6.0.1.
I dirty flashed 6.0.1 system.img and boot.img, then I flashed SuperSU 2.62-3 (in TWRP). I stayed unencrypted.
Xposed, ES File Explorer, Double tap 2 wake, Greenify, BetterBatteryStats ... work perfectly.
Edit:
2.62-3 works for some with 6.0.1. and with Android Pay
2.52 has been working fine for me since mm has been out, running on MRA58R now. Have not tried 2.6 but 2.49 was also working perfectly. If you need android pay to work then 2.6 or there are other options like custom ROMs that have it successfully working
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Running it here without issue. Also had it running on mra58r.
The only casualty I suppose was/is es file explorer. It could not gain root access for some reason.
I am rooted, unencrypted and have the latest Elite kernel.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Using 2.6.1 and brand new 6.0.1 fresh install and Android pay is working flawlessly!
Does anybody have a downloadlink for 2.61, can`t find it anywhere
Nevermind, found it.

Root Checker Pro, BusyBox Pro said i was rooted and the Franco FKU app has root too. Maybe its a problem with apps not adapted/compatible with systemless root (2.61) yet.

Did a full wipe and flashed again the lite Rom 6.0.1 of Danvdh. This rom is stock based.
After reboot I restored the 6.0-data from a nandroid backup with TWRP. Root checker says 'no root'.
Now last try with full wipe and restore from Google.
At this moment my N6 is restoring the apps from Google take a long time, but root checker says there is root access.
So this update needs a complete wipe and factory reset.

I did some reading and trial with the lite rom of Danvdh. What seems important is that SuperSU 2.6x is flashed as the last file after flashing system stuff, like mods, kernel.

I managed to update from M6.0 to M6.0.1 with data kept.
Important is that the system partition does not contain su-stuff of previous versions.
In TWRP I wiped the M 6.0 system and caches, but not the data.
Flashed the lite 6.0.1 rom of Danvdh;
Flashed Franco's kernel r35;
Flashed SuperSU 2.61;
Reboot - TWRP button 'do not install SU'.
Needed to restore settings (dpi), layers and the black themed apps of the TBO team.
I dirty flashed from stock rooted 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 today and rooted using Systemless 2.62-3. Everything is working great so far.

Did you gave it storage permission on Application Manager?
follow these instructions, i did and have it working on both my Tab S2 and S7 Edge
http://www.droidviews.com/enjoy-viper4android-on-galaxy-s6-and-s6-edge/
I flashed one of the v4.8 zips from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/viperaudio-viperatmos-3-8-sq-driver-t3289075 (I think it was the Beats Universal version near the bottom) and V4A works great. Dolby Atmos isn't working however, fc every time I open it. I think it's fixable but I haven't really messed with it because I don't listen to music on my S2 very often and I'm happy with just Viper.
Flash this
Same for me, I did a lot of things just with no luck. So I decided to make a factory reset, clean install the new MM update trough Odin, then install TWRP and flash SuperSu zip.
Then I found this THREAD made for the s7 and found this ZIP inside the replies, the flashed it and worked like a charm.
Instructions to install a working V4a (pay attention because it's extremely difficult):
1-> Hard factory reset. (just take the tab back to stock)
2->Update to MM with odin if u want (I don't know if it works on Lollipop)
4->Flash TWRP through Odin
5->Flash SuperSu through TWRP (this will root the tab)
6->Install Busybox from Google play
7->Flash this zip through TWRP.
5->Done
Not difficult, just joking.
Let me know if it worked for you. If you need more instructions about installing MM just go to my post if you want.

Thx so much! Worked perfectly. Although all i did was search for the file name on Google (cuz the owner of the file had it in his trash bin) and flash w twrp cuz my rom is still stock and I had already done everything else long ago.
If any future ppl need the file, here it is: http://d-h.st/YKOZ
And if that link turns up dead eventually, search this file name on Google, there should still be one out there somewhere

Lag on Roooted Global 7.1.19 MIUI

Hi I'm having this issue consistently ever since nougat based ROMs are released for Mi5
Whenever i root the nougat based miui ROM, it boots fine but after some time it starts stuttering/lagging so much that one becomes totally inoperable.
I have tried various ways but no success.
I have tried with SuperSU 2.78, 2.79, 2.79SR3 and also eu roms n China global as well but the results are same.
I have also tried wiping the whole internal partition to remove device encryption but the lag don't go away.
When dirty flash the ROM again from twrp, Everything comes back to normal.
Not sure if anybody else is facing the same issue or probably know the solution.
Cheers!
Did you already tried stable version 8.1.9.0 rom from xiaomi.eu that's based 7.0 too..?, coz before..i'm using that rom for a month i think...and doesn't found any lag..even already rooting with supersu 2.79.
Please make sure..this time not just a wiping..but do a format system, data and cache as ext4 from official twrp 3.0.2-3 before flasing

Cannot install LineageOS addonsu.zip

Hi,
I just recently installed LineageOS on my Phone.
I Used TWRP 3.0.0.0 to install lineage-14.1-20170505-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte.zip and open_gapps-arm-7.1-mini-20170730.zip without any problems.
LineageOS and Google apps are working fine, but I don't have root access.
When I reboot into recovery and try to install addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip (downloaded from download.lineageos.org/extras, date 2017-06-21), I get an error "Zip signature verification failed".
I checked the sha256sum of the downloaded file and it's correct.
Any ideas, what I am doing wrong?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I recommend you use crdroid or resurrection remix as custom rom of daily use, crdroid has many configurations and a good battery life:

I was not sure if CF auto root would work with LOS, but after your answer I tried and it worked well.
Nonetheless my next step was to flash crdroid, which also worked fine and I like this rom very much
So thanks for pointing me in this direction - i was not aware of the vast diversity of custom roms available for my device :good:

Cf autoroot, I think it works but erases the recovery (I'm not sure) try chainfiri supersu or magisk, some roms already have root built in, I've done many roms that I did not publish in xda, I leave them to you, try the ones you want https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=181843
