Hi everyone,
I applied for, and received, my permission to unlock the bootloader. Unfortunately, when I go to the unlock page to download the unlock tool, I can't seem to find it. If I click "Unlock" it takes me back to the "apply for unlock" page. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Mike
Sorry to sidetrack but how long did it take for you to get your unlock permission?

Hi! What step are you at? Have you asked for unlocking? Has it been accepted? Have you tried the Unlock tool provided by Xiaomi?

I was also getting this error when I was trying to unlock it. This possible fix will format your memory. Try installing a developer rom from here http://en.miui.com/download-299.html (not the stable version). Download the zip file into your storage, go to Updater app > tap three dots in the up-right corner > tap Choose update package > select your zip file > tap OK.
Let it install the ROM. After that try again the Unlock tool.

Don't use flashtool. Use the app. You can use flashtool after you get your bootloader unlocked.

Just tap on e-mail us and ask for the unlock code, they will send you a e-mail asking some info about your phone.
Than you get the code by e-mail at least that 's how i got mine.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info.
We need to turn on "Enable OEM unlock" in the developer options before unlock the bootloader, correct?
After that both the FRP and bootloader will be unlocked?

Hello everyone ! I need help to unlock the bootloader of my Moto x4 Android Oreo. I can not unlock from Motorola's official website as soon as I log in to the page to unlock the bootloader, the next page displays an "unknown error". Is there any safe and quick alternative method to unlock the bootloader?

Please Master help me. I want to root my phone but first, i have to unlock bootloader from this phone (Vivo V20). I already use Command Line " fastboot flashing unlock ", " fastboot oem unlock ", " fastboot bbk unlock_vivo ", "fastboot bbk vivo_bsp unlock_vivo". Nothing Works...
Maybe someone here know how to see command line to unlock bootloader manually from system file, please help.
1. You need to Enable developer mode on your phone
2. You need to enable USB Debugging inside of developer options
3. Also, enable OEM Unlock inside developer options also ( If you dont see this option, good luck with rooting.. )
You will also need to set up ADB platform tools sdk on your computer if you are going to root
SDK Tools Setup - https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
Unlock Bootloader - https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-android-phone-4689186
Be carefull please Dont brick your device... make sure to do your research and verify that your specific phone can be rooted...

Toggle OEM already on but still cannot unlock bootloader
Vivo doesn't allow their devices' bootloader getting unlocked, so you can't unlock (most of) them.
On their support page, they stated "BL cannot be unlocked" (which is false), and "suggest you not to try it".
If you really want to unlock your bootloader, nah you can't, the only way might be selling your Vivo for something else (OnePlus, Xiaomi, etc.) that allows bootloader unlocking.
Edit 1: For some older Vivo (and Oppo), you might be able to use EDL to flash a custom recovery. OR for even older ones, you can actually unlock.
Edit 2: I believe most Vivo (including Oppo) doesn't even have the normal aboot bootloader mode.

I did a lot of research, and the only way to unlock the BootLoader for free is to use PotatoNV software. Just wanted to let you guys know, so that you dont waste your time.
Tested and it worked on P9 Lite and P20 Lite.

Yes ! Its work on P9 Lite VNS-L21.
after use potatonv & unlock bootloader I get error " FAILED (remote: image verification error)" during installation TWRP in fastboot mode.
for fix this error , I unlock bootloader again with new bootloader code in fastboot.
type below command in fastboot :
fastboot oem unlock **************** (instead of * , type new bootloader code)
I WASTED MY time for that.Potatonv s****s because why need disassembly for that
