I am currently using P9 Plus in Asia, current firmware build number is VIE-L29C636B180.
I'm not receiving the OTA for B190, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to brick my phone before I updated.
I found the FULL and OTA firmware from this: http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1163/g104/v66324/f1/full/update.zip
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1163/g104/v66324/f1/full/changelog.xml
I'm pretty sure I got the right files, and can copy the FULL firmware to my device and flash, but I just want to make sure before I update.
Your confirmation would be greatly appreciated
I've attached an image of the file I'm referring to as well.
Thanks again

Upgrade to Nougat
Hi, the link to the Polish site explains that you can't do the dload method as it's an OS upgrade, not just an update. Bare that in mind when trying to jump from <B320. It's taken me a couple of days of research to finally upgrade my VIE-L29C636 to B320.
I came across the original Huawei updater on XDA and got the phone updated as far as B170, the dload methods then got me up to B190 and I was stuck until I just saw the Polish page showing how to enter in the custom ROM url. After that I used the HiSuite to do it (based on the Huawei updater method on XDA).
1. get the link from the website the OP originally posted (based on your Hardware and whatever the other version number is, e.g. mine is VIE-L29 & C636 (= VIE-L29C636). I found it in About phone in settings (the last part of it is the firmware version, mine was originally B103 (= VIE-L29C636B103).
2. download the updater from the Polish page
3. do steps 2 to 5
- Copy the Firmware, version and software code from the hwmt.ru website applicable to the version that you are downloading, e.g. VIE-L29C636B320
- The bit I missed was how to put the URL in, I pasted the whole thing, you need to paste it and remove "full/update.zip" from the end
4. Open HiSuite
- go to Settings (top right hamburger icon > settings)
- scroll to Proxy settings
- enter 12.0.0.1 in the Address
- 41279 in the port
5. Connect your phone to the computer/HiSuite
6. Click System Update in HiSuite
7. Enjoy Nougat!!

hey thx. worked great on my p9+
I debrand from L19C605B135 to L19C636B150, after I update to the last MM firmware L19C636B190
I notice that exist two B361 (Nougat) firmwares in Huawei servers, the first have 29 december date and the second 30 dec date.
The first firmware changelog, explain the Nougat OS, etc etc.
The second firmware changelog, include power consuption y UI improvements.
I update to first Nougat firmware (29 dec)(with Huawei Updater tool), L19C636B361, all ok, camera, keyboard, etc etc.
Now, I want apply the second update (30 dec), exist posibility of Full or OTA update in Huawei servers.
The Huawei Updater tool read the new firmware but the HiSuite tool present the message that not exist new firmware version. I try it with two posibilities, FULL and OTA. No luck.
I downloaded all zips, for FULL and OTA update.
For OTA update are three files (update.zip, update_hw_spcseas.zip and update_data_public.zip)
Note that dload method not guarantee correct full aplication of firmware update, in the update.zip exist UPDATE.APP file, but exist several more files, in the other zip files include several other files too.
Here the question, How can I do it? help me please
Exist some method for apply these zip files, like the official Hisuite tool do it?
Thanks a lot.
Bro, how did you manage to update or b190 to b361? I can't understand how to use huawei updater tool. Is there any link that you can provide on how to use it. Thanks!

Refer to https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/p9-7-0-nougat-update-eva-lo9-b182-t3539754 second post.
Very important paste the correct URL of the firmware (example, L19C636B361, etc)
No bootloader open or root privileges required.
You can find a huge list of firmwares from russian web site: hwmt
Search in google. The warehouse firmwares here in XDA is incomplete.
I cant paste complete URL in the post, I dont have privileges still.
Another way is use the "firmware finder" app. (works searching in the russian web site I think)
Others instructions that apply the UPDATE.APP file directly, not is correct, these update is incomplete and sure that several things doesnt work (camera, NFC, etc etc).

I don't know, but I think OTA updates should be received because bootloader has not been opened, stock recovery.
Straight to the point, has anyone successfully updated to B382?
I've tried via FirmwareFinder, it downloads successfully, but during install it says Unauthorised, removes files, and remains the same.
Trying via the dload/sdcard method, and it gives an error @ 5%, and then prompts to reboot the phone.
Have tried going from B190/202/362/370 but no luck each time. Tried with bootloader unlocked & locked, have since done a factory reset once on 370, and still no progress.
Will remain on B370 for now, B382 appears to only be a security patch, but it would be nice to have the peace of mind being on the latest (for Huawei anyway) patch.
CAN YOU GIVE ME LINK FOR b370 ? I HAVED TO TRY WITH FIRMWARE FINDER BUT NOT WORKING, THANK YOU. and i have a same problem when update B382, i think it's a beta version .

I actually used Firmware Finder to update to B370. Although initially I was having issues getting to that as well, from B362 both via dload & FF.
Ended up rolling back to B190 (via dload), then using FF went to 362 > 370.
Here's the LINK to the update.zip anyway.

Check one of the other threads in here on how to update via FF, step by step.
You need to go back out and check for updates again. Full size is def not 5mb.
In order to update to B382 NOW, you need to unlock your bootloader and use TWRP to update it UNLESS you wait till it official launch.

Bootloader unlocked.
update.zip for B382 downloaded.
Is it as simple as flashing that zip in TWRP?
Anything else required? Anything to be aware of?
As mentioned above, I've only updated via dload & FF previously, was not aware of any other method/s.
Thanks
I didn't not tried since bit troublesome for me to backup all data etc. I rather wait for final release. You may try to google this firmware and TWRP method was highlighted. Anyway do it at your own risk.

b382 is still unofficial, if u insist on installing it try this method:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-plus/how-to/easy-upgrade-to-unapproved-emui-5-update-t3649532
The firmware already approved by Huawei. Just use FF to update will do.

I ran the Firmware Finder tool today and was surprised to find there was an update for the P9. Apparently it has some security patches. The firmware finder tool has instructions how to upgrade, but they're somewhat involved.
I'm currently on EVA-L09C432B504, and I've checked but there's no OTA update available. Is there a way to do this update manually? I've read on this thread these instructions - is this likely to work for this update?
Download the two files, update.zip and update_data_full_hw_meafnaf.zip, do not unzip, put into DLOAD folder on your SD card.
Phone better to be charged, switch off, disconnect USB, press and keep pressing both Vol+ and Vol-, then boot - it should start DLOAD

Pure DLOAD applies only to FullOTA-MF-PV, b506 is without PV
Check Firmware Access Availability in FF, if it shows Approved for your SIM, you could try if HiSuite or eRecovery give you a chance to upgrade (I don't believe it will work yet)
Otherwise, with unlocked Bootloader and methods like HWOTA/no-check-recovery, you should be able to force DLOAD to b506
Thanks @zgfg. In Firmware Finder it says "firmware approved for installation for 506".
I ran eRecovery yesterday but it started to download the 504 version. Would it look on the SD card somewhere for an updated version? If not, can you give / link me to a bit more information on how I would use HiSuite to do the update?
I see in another thread that Android 8 is available if you jump through many, many hoops. Given the age of the phone I don't think it's worth the bother.

If using newer versions of HiSuite, somewhere at the bottom (HiSuite window on PC) you have an option to install different firmwhere, and there an option to upgrade (and sometimes to downgrade).
But if eRecovery does not offer you b506, Im pretty sure HiSiute would not either
Unfortunately HiSuite doesn't offer an upgrade. The "System Update" is the only control I can find, and it says 504 is the latest official firmware. Seems odd that I have the latest firmware but can't install it.
Any ideas @zgfg , or anyone else?

Read my previous answer, with unlock bootloader, HWOTA method
But why bothering only because security patch
True, I might not bother. Appreciate your pointers, I'd have to go work out what the acronyms stand for and how to do it - all this kind of thing isn't very well documented, as the people who understand it describe it in a way that they understand, rather than for beginners. Better than nothing though

Yes, unfortunately fingerprint reader on Xiaomi Mi 9T is TOTALLY USELESS. First and last Xiaomi phone ever for me
Hi!
I'm trying to find a way to update my clt-l29 c432 p20 pro from 9.0.0.286, i've removed root and i have wiped the phone, yet i am still not able to get an update.
The update app on my phone says i am running the latest version, same with eRecovery and hisuite.
Links for firmwares using hisuite proxy seemed to be dead, however i've managed to get the files i needed from here: https://www.needromarab.com/49598/CLT-L29-10-0-0-161-C432-BY-NEEDROMARAB
Hisuite proxy has an option for using local files, but it refuses to enable in the settings of the software and just crashes the program. (running as admin)
I've tried 3 different versions of hisuite proxy, but i am having the same issue.
My bootloader is unlocked, so i've thought about using HuRUpdater from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-manual-update-p20-pro-with-hurupdater-and-twrp.3816283/
but i'm a bit unsure if i've got the right files to use with it.
Any ideas?

Thank you so much, feeling a bit stupid rn.
I actually managed to get an update up to 9.1 using OTA update. The problem was a missing SIM card.
But i will definitely try this method if i get stuck again.
Thanks again!
