Hey guys,
My phone keeps bootlooping no matter what ROM I try to install. Here is my process:
1. Download stock firmware for AUS for 6.0.1.
2. Flash it on Odin.
3. Flash TWRP on Odin.
4. Reboot into TWRP.
5. Install ROM.
I have tried this with both Dr Ketan's ROM, as well as LineageOS.
Midway through flashing the ROM though, the phone just restarts, and starts bootlooping. Is there something I did wrong?
Thanks!
I'm strugling with same, it drive,s me mad!
The only way to proceed when have a bootloop im puting my phone in a closed plasticbag without battery and put it in the fridgerator for about half a hour.
Then, strange enough, the initialisation proces will proceed on with the ice cold phone and a fully charged battery.

Hey!
I've flashed kernel and firmware on my Note successfully several times, but now I encountered a problem:
I'm on Asylum_CM10.1_20130311_n7000 ROM and was using Asylum_CM10.1_20130311_n7000 kernel, all working fine.
Then I flashed a new kernel, HydraCoreNirvana Kernel for Galaxy Note GT-N7000. After this I've been in hell, every time I try to start/boot the phone, it jams on the Asylum startup animation. I tried both from the SD and when the phone wouldn't start, via Odin. Then I tried flashing back to the working kernel above, no help. Now I'm stuck with two non-working kernels and a useless phone. I hope I haven't ruined it already...
I was flashing with the instructions @ rootgalaxynote. com
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please, I'm drunk and freaking out with this phone (I know 1st world problems).
Do a wipe data in recovery (if u can go to) or ODIN. Then try to see if the phone boots, if it doesn't you can do a clean install of Asylum ROM again. If nothing works(!) Go back to flash a stock ROM via ODIN and then use Philz kernel to re-root.

Tried all that (went straight to stock). No help, I guess somethings gone wrong with the boot sequence, I flashed Philz kernel and now it loops on the samsung animation. Before, it sometimes showed "Android is upgrading 1/83 (or something similar), the number would go up a while, then the start-up animation again and all over again from 1/83. It always seems to jam on the ****ing animation... Gonna jump off the roof.

I got the phone working again. Did a factory reset from recovery and after that the phone started up. After that installed the HydraCoreNirvana Kernel again and now it works just fine. Thanks very much for the help!
Hi, I found my old bricked note and decided to try and resurrect it.
When it's not plugged in, I get nothing at all, it won't turn on.
When it's plugged in I get a grey battery animation briefly, and then it reboots. Occasionally I see a green Android animation and a loading bar, but it never makes it far before rebooting.
I can get to Download Mode and tried putting on philz_touch_6.26.6-n7000 recovery, and the stock N7000XXLT9_N7000OXXLT3_CPW files using Heimdall on OSX, after flashing It reboots and I see the Samsung N7000 logo briefly, then it reboots and it's back to the grey battery bootloop.
I bought a new PBA from ebay and switched it in, same issues, though I could at least get into stock recovery for a while, until I flashed over the above files again.
Any advice would be welcome, I've long since replaced the phone but I'd love to get it working again to gift to my brother.
Try flashing philz recovery... Not the one you flashed earlier but XXLTA one. Then try to get into recovery. If you get Cwm, factory reset.. Then flash rom again or flash a custom rom using recovery.

Thanks, I flashed over the Philz XXLTA Kernel, no change, I'm struggling to find the Recovery that matches.
Stuck Odin and Kies on a win7 machine I have, and I'm noticing that although I can flash entire stock roms, any of the Philz recoveries I try (although I can only find back to 6.0.1.1) error out with "Complete(Write) Operation failed." They seemed to go fine in Heimdall but I'm wondering if this is a clue. Are there any non Philz recoveries I can try? I also can't download any GB Stock roms from Sammobile, they just download a couple of hundred bytes, and most other links seem to have been on Hotfile, which no longer exists.
Speedmod kernel by hardcore also has Odin flashable files.. Although I really doubt that you are not able to flash PhilZ kernel due to error at your end and not a phone issue.
Resolved it!
Bought a cheap replacement battery from eBay, stuck it in and it booted into the stock 4.1.2 Samsung ROM I flashed last! No problems getting into recovery either.
I'm wondering now if I needn't have bothered buying a new PBA, and it was the battery that caused the hangups and eventual brick last time.
I checked the voltage on the old battery and it's reading 4.14V, which seems like a full charge. Any idea what might have been the issue?
The replacement battery was at around 60%, I'm hoping things don't go wrong again when it finishes charging.
Hi!
Today i wanted to update my firmware just because Samsung Kies asked me if i wanted to. I couldn't have been more wrong when i chose to update.
The update froze at 3% and after a lot of time i unplugged the phone and ended up with a brick instead of a phone.
If i try to turn it on, i get a black screen with a "phone--!--pc" picture. I can enter Download Mode by pressing VolumeDown + HomeButton + PowerButton and i get an android logo with ''Downloading... Do not turn off target'' written under it.
My phone was never rooted, nor updated ( it remained with its out-of-the-factory OS and everything ).
For the past 6 hours i've been trying to use Odin v4.43 along with AriesVE.ops (the one from the well-known WORKED2 archive) to try and get recovery-clockwork to work.
So my questions are:
Given the fact that my phone was not rooted, how can i get my GT-I9001 to work again? Is this even possible?
Can i first root it in its condition, then flash a custom rom like cyanogenmod? Or do i need to install a stock rom and then try a custom one?
What other options do i have?
Everything i've tried so far with Odin froze while downloading and i have no other solution to this problem. Please help!

Yes it is possible as long as your device boots into Download mode.
No you can't root it in its current condition.
You need to download a stock firmware, flash it using Odin or Heimdall (recommended), then root it and finally install a custom ROM if you want.

Thank you for answering!
I fixed the issue. Tried different usb port along with a different version of CWM (5.5.0.4) which I installed with Odin v4.43. CWM 5.5.0.4 caused a bootloop, but i used it only to install CWM 6.0.4.9 from external_sd, so the bootloop problem was gone. Then flashed CyanogenMod 11 and now works like a charm !
I attached an archive with CWM 5.5.0.4, AriesVE.ops and Odin v4.43, so that anyone having my problem can solve it the way i did. But keep in mind that this version of CWM *may* cause a bootloop, so prior to installing it, you should have a working version of CWM on your external_sd. Use CWM 5.5.0.4 to install the better version of CWM from your external_sd. Also, whatever you do is at your own risk!
Hello, I've got a Note 5 on sprint n920p. I've had twrp and spacex kernel for ages without any trouble. Today however, I logged into a different google account on my phone and it rebooted. Now It wont boot or go into recovery. FRP is blocking my attempts to flash twrp via odin. I am stumped is there anything I can do?
Try flashing stock rom

Thank you! It was so incredibly easy! I just needed to calm down a bit and wait for the rom.
What're the steps to flash a stock rom? I basically have the same problem but I can't even boot into TWRP recovery.
First, I had to wait several hours for a rom to download from sammobile. Then, I put my phone in download mode and used odin with the rom in the ap slot. Voila, it worked ending days of frustration. Took a bit to configure itself. Avoid wasting time dont download a deodexed rom. You'll need the rom as a single file.
I've just tried to factory reset my N950F, that had custom rom. This didn't remove my media files for some reason, so I did a full wipe from TWRP.
This has sent me into a bootloop, however I can still get into the download screen for odin. I've tried flashing TWRP again with this but while my laptop says pass it is stuck on 'Downloading, do not turn off target'.
I'm now waiting to download https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/BTU/download/N950FXXU5DSB2/259437/ am I doing something wrong or do I have to return to stock in order to use the phone again?
Would rather have TWRP and install a custom ROM.
Thanks all,
Andy
Download firmware, flash it with Odin run wait till device turn on, wait some time. Then just simply flash your ROM, root and stuff
