Brick after choosing BIOS option - Teclast X98 Air 3G

Hi guys,
There is a problem with my Teclast X98 Air 3G, namely it got boot loop directly to Windows but I managed it by playing with boot priority options in BIOS.
Once I got boot menu I entered to BIOS once again to check If I didn't leave some mess. Finally I jumped into Save & Exit tab but accidentally I hit with the finger one of those two options on the bottom, either
- Launch EFI Shell from filesystem device; or
- Reset System with ME disable Mode
There was no any prompt messages it immediately started to erasing "something". It took like minute or two and thats it, it turned off and its bricked now. Doesn't stand up, can't get into dnx or anything.
Is there any chance I can recover it without using programmer? What are those options about to do? Any advices?

Help! Stuck at DeviceLock after upgrading to 1.6.7.1

By mistake I put a version of 1.6.7.1 ROM on my new cingular 8125 and now I keep the following error followed by a reboot:
Devicelook: You have illegally acquired this ROM! This ROM is only for phones sold by Ace-Hellas and their distribution channel.
Any ideas on how I can get a working ROM on my 8125 again?
Thanks!
Can't you put the Wizard into Boot Loader mode and re-flash with the correct ROM????

Recently, I purchased an MDA and upgraded it to AKU2.0. Then for the heck of it wanted to go back. Well my system hung and i ended up with a phone that would hang on the splash screen.
You have to enter 3 color usb mode by doing a hard reset once, then do a hard reset and it comes to a black screen and asks press send to hard reset or press another key to quite. Go Ahead and quit but keep holding the camera and voice command key. It will go to an htc screen and start blacking out then plug a usb cable from the computer into the phone and it should pull up 3 color mode. Then you want to use an executable form of a rom and you should be good to go.
the 3 color mode is tricky to get into though it took me about 5-10 minutes to get into it the second time.
wow, talk about making something more complicated then it is.
let me simplify your process, to get into "three color mode" which is usb boot mode, hold the voice command button and press the soft reset with the stylus. The device will soft reset, but keep holding the voice command button and it will go into usb boot mode.
Thanks fontastic
Thanks for that simplification. I read about how to get into three color mode using awizard. But your instructions clear things up.

Is it possible connect ADB to device if debug setting is not checked

Hi All,
The situation is following. Device boots and works but UI is blocked (why is separate story). I know how to fix it but I need to connect to device via ADB. The bad thing that debug option is not checked and UI is blocked to do this. So is there way to boot in some mode in which debug interface is ON? Or this is it and only SBF will resolve this UI block.
you can try turning your phone on while holding the m button, and then scrolling down to the bp tools option.
a couple of people have supposedly been able to get into adb even though their phone is stuck in a bootloop, so you might be able to do it that way too
I have found other way around. I have sent SMS to my phone, used notification area (it was working) to go to SMS app, pressed to phone number to call back (dialer appears), pressed mic button to launch voice command, said "goto settings" and I got setting started. So I then have enabled debug in there. It is all I was needed.

OS Boots to black screen? Anyway to recover data?

Hi all, forgive me if this has already been asked in some form.
My girlfriends Verizon Moto X lost battery one day while she was playing a game. After she charged and tried booting again, it just booted to a black screen. It still runs through the full boot animation. Weirdly enough, active display will still show her information (and can be interacted with until unlocked), and holding power will bring up a power menu for shutdown. The camera gesture also works to launch it, but you can't interact with anything at all. Safe mode provides the exact same issues.
She is running the latest 5.1 update and is fully stock. She also does not wish to root or flash a custom recovery.
I have tried to pull the data, which windows recognizes as a media device, but shows empty when clicked on. OSx immediately says that the storage can not be accessed over android file transfer. I plugged it in for ADB but ADB won't seem to find it when its turned on. It is recognized in fastboot though. I also wiped the cache via the stock recovery, but that didn't help.
I believe a factory reset will be the solution to the black screen, but she has a bunch of photos she would really like to save. Is there anyway for me to actually get them off of the phone? If she can get those, I can get it factory reset for her no problem.
Thanks for any advice!
The exact same thing has happened to my girlfriend's phone as well and I'm also looking for a solution to recover the data. Moto X (2014) Pure, 5.1
The device boots. The Motorola boot animation plays all the way through, the screen brightness dims slightly as normal, and then the Amber Alert from the previous night vibrates the phone several times and displays over a fully black background. There are no soft buttons and no status bar. The home screen appears not to have loaded (yet?)
Attempts to click "OK" to close the alert fail.
The phone is hot. It is working hard. Something stuck in a loop?
The power button will bring up the "Power Off" prompt with no issues. The animation plays smoothly and the phone can be powered off as normal. The phone is able to recognize touch input here.
Calling the phone while it's on will play a ringtone. It is receiving calls.
Plugging the phone into a computer will show up as an MTP device. However, there are no contents listed.
Sometimes, the phone will prompt that the "System" process is not responding and will ask to close it. This has no effect.
Booting into Safe Mode has no effect.
Clearing the application cache from recovery mode has no effect.
I have a CSE degree but absolutely no Android experience. Forensics on a NAND dump or something like that isn't out of the question, unless it's not possible. Hope you're able to get some help.

I am having the exact same issue. Has anybody had a luck resolving it short of a factory reset?
My phone battery died last night. I plugged my phone in, let it get about 15% charge, then tried to turn it back on. The phone boots like normal, but after the boot animation goes away, the screen is black. Active notifications still seem to work, and I can hold the power button to get the Power Down option. I can boot into the bootloader & access recovery just fine. However, my phone is fully stock (no root, no bootloader unlock, no anything). I can't seem to access ADB when the phone is powered normally (ie, when I'm at this mysterious black screen), but it's possible that USB debugging isn't even enabled.
So far, I've found a bunch people who've said a full factory reset will fix the problem, but I'm looking for another solution, or at least a way to grab my data before I reset. Since my bootloader's still locked, I can't seem to use fastboot boot to boot into TWRP, and I can't find any other way to access my data to copy it off the phone. I've tried wiping the cache using the stock recovery to no avail. Any suggestions?
Update?
Hello,
I am having this issue as well.
Unfortunately I am unable to perform any form of factory reset, the bootloader also just brings me to the black screen and I am unable to use soft keys. The kicker for me is that I cannot connect to my PC with a working USB. I used to have that available and now no device is recognized.

Teclast X98 3G C5J6 Problem: Bootloops after initial receive

Hi there,
Yesterday I’ve received the Teclast X98 3G Tablet (Windows 10/Android 5, 64GC EMMC). After the first start I chose Windows 10 to start initially. Since then I am in a bootloop. Red logo flashes every 10 seconds, thereafter I can see a black screen with “9C” in the bottom right corner.
Have you experienced such a problem too? How can I reset the bootloader? Should I return my tablet, or is it just a small problem?
Thanks in advance.

Before turn on the tablet keep vol + and press power button then choose android to boot .
Thanks for answering.
Volume+ & Power doesn't work. Same loop as described above. I can only start the DNX-Mode.

Click to collapse
Doesn't fix the problem. I`ve tried it with a full battery.
It looks like that after the red-logo disappears there is a command-window with the two letters "9C" in the bottom right corner.... I don't understand whats wrong there. Is it the dual-bootloader or Windows....?!
Is there an other opportunity to completely reset (factory reset) the device? Holding 20 sec. the power button ends in shutting off an starting the tablet again.
Should I try to flash Bios 2.02 or something else? I worry about loosing my Windows 8.1/10 key on this way. GearBest doens't respond to my ticket concerning return of device.
Thanks !
What about flashing mirek`s rom with partitioning in dnx mode with mft tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62823546&postcount=6 ?
Android works well, but the Windows Boot Manager seems to be corrupted. I will send back the device. It must be a physical defect in the device. Overall it is well built and feels sturdy and android runs nicely. Therefore I hope that GearBest will send me a new one ...
Apropos GearBest: Ticket opened on Wednesday, no answer since now. I wrote a message on facebook directly and hope now for a quick solution because the device was "dead on arrival".
Thank you all for your answers / help!

No boot / freezez

Hello,
Today my phone suddenly froze. It happened before so i didn't care much about it and left phone for some time. Unfortunately, I'm not able to boot system anymore, because phone turns off right after first white HTC logo screen. When I boot into recovery only up and down buttons work, pressing on/off button causes phone freeze.
Phone is rooted (ROM - insertcoin-7.1.3), since few months and till today it was all working fine. Conecting it to laptop it was recognized as RELINK device (but it doesnt work anylonger) so I think it might be over. Any idea what to or what steps perform to bring it back to live?
