Hi guys. Sorry, my English is not very good. Is it possible to spy phone, over the home wireless network (this phone is connected to a home wifi), to see passwords, messages, contacts, visited web addresses and other features?
Not really possible.

Hi All
My faithfull Trtn II works well at most hotspots, but I can't seem to connect to "The Cloud" hotspots in the UK. Has anyone manged to get thier Tytn to connect?

to connect to the cloud you will need to be a o2 customer with the wifi bolt on or a btcusomer or on of the others shown on the home page.
turn on wifi then go to a web site say google this will then bring up the cloud page.if you are a o2 customer with wifi then all u need to do is tap in your number.

Yes, I'm a BT Customer, but I can't hold the WIFI connection long enough to connect. It simply drops out. I have tried increasing the Power Mode to best performance, but it still drops out.
I don't have any problems at BTOpenzone or T-Mobile sites.

ok first of all i did google this but didn't find anything specific
alright so under my "connections setting i have my "select automatic network" to MY ISP.....i thought that was enough to avoid data charges (since i only want to use wifi for internet browsing and emails...and i dont have a data plan).
So i was playing around with the email options and under the "server" settings i noticed the connection was set to Medianet....my heart came in my mouth since i've been going crazy with the e-mails thinking im connected to wifi I changed the connection to MY ISP and now i cant receive e-mails.....so right now im hoping i didn't get charged (somehow) or if i did.....what would be some good bs excuses to get it waived
so my query is..can i send/receive emails via wifi connection? If so, how do i set that up.....
Before i use to turn off "phone" and leave wifi on and i did receive emails with that setup.
so my 2nd qs is....does disabling phone disable medianet or mms capabilities ?
Disabling all Data services from isp
I'm right there with you. I do not want to get a data plan, as I only need internet every once and a while. I have enabled my wi-fi by doing this on my phone:
Start>Settings>Connections>Wi-Fi
then from there you can turn it on, find and join networks...
As to removing all access to your ISP, I am not sure. I keep trying but no matter what i do, every once and a while I notice the little "E" logo at the top symbolizing the EDGE network is being accessed. Which is not what I want. Anyone who can shed some light on disabling the data service from being accessed, it would be greatly appreciated.
hmm well I also do not use the 3G network. The best way I've found to do this is by using the Comm manager and going to the communications manager and disabling 3G and disabling Data Connection. Then if you keep wi-fi enabled it won't ever use the 3G network. If the ROM your using doesn't have a good comm manager then you can download one that has those controls because there are many on this website. Hope this helps,

Modaco No Data is what I use

i have issues sending e-mails from the built in client, it always tells me i dont have access or some crap which makes no sense since i can sign into my account and check my e-mail from my phone so i normally have to go to the website for my e-mail to send an e-mail which is a pain
Hey,
For some reason every time I try to download new messages or send a new e-mail, the device uses the 3G connection (data connection - even if it's turned off in the communications screen, it just turns it on automatically).
Problem is, I rather use my WiFi instead. Is there a way to use Mail with my WiFi connection, rather than my date connection by my cel company?
Thanks
Is you Wi-Fi actually turned on? If not then it will always try to use the Cellular connection. Mine happily gets mail over Wi-Fi if it is enabled and connected to network
Yeah... even if my WiFi is on it goes through 3G to get the mail or send it.
What kind of an account have you set up? POP3/IMAP/...?
how i am doing it
what i did is create a false connection under the conection icon in all settings.
so i have 2 of them: my 3g conection and the other one where i have left all the fields blank access point, login, password etc.
when i don't want to use 3g i select my fake conection and i am able to use wifi etc... and it assures me that the phone won't dial without me knowing it; and when i want to use my 3g i just select it from the manage conection under conection icon in all setting.
that's the way i do it, it is not something i am proud of but it works great and does the job
cheers
Greetings,
I am just curious if there is a method in Android to allow for a notification/alert/popup etc if when connected to WIFI, there is no actual internet connectivity?
Currently, if I am at work, connected to a WIFI point, and someone unplugs the internet input from the wireless router, but leaves the router on, the Galaxy Tab believes it is connected to WIFI. It retains full signal as it should, however, programs that rely on connectivity wont generally tell me they can not connect.
The connection doesnt fall over to mobile data, as it believes it is connected ok to WIFI.
I wont receive emails, instant messages etc until I realize what has happened and disable wifi.
I am hoping for a method, be it a setting, or a program, to show my a little indicator when connectivity fails? Perhaps the check can be done during one of the many account syncs, or even a manual setting / check-time etc.
Cheers
None of the market apps I have found do this.
Is this something more suited to the dev section or even apps? My hopes of a simple hidden setting seem to be fading.
Cheers
Hi Guys,
I recently wanted to look a bit in the Wifi Sense Feature of WP8.1 but I could not share my private Home Wifi.
I ticked the share-button and allowed all my skype friends to access my shared networks. The account on my other phone is a skype friend but it just won't connect to the wifi. I know that it can take several days for my network to be shared, but really more than a week? Is there anything I can do to "force a sync"? Did I forget something?
Thank you,
FabFaeb
