Hi guys,
After enjoying my OP3 for half a year now - I'm considering buying an A3010 for my sister but for the sake of peace of mind id like to reassure my self on OTA Updates.
Once I flash oxygen over hydrogen will she get updates regardless of the device variant?

Hi XDians,
First little background, I live in India. I had oneplus x(ONYX) which i dropped and it didn't survive. I wanted to buy oneplus 3T. So i started surfing for ads on olx(a website to buy or sell stuff just like local ebay). So i got a deal that i was offered chinese version of oneplus 3T(A3010) at less rates.
I have few questions. I wanted to ask to if should i go for this? and whats difference between Chinese version and International version? would this phone be compatible with bands of Indian operators in India?
A Chinese version comes with an H2OS rather than OOS, which is adapted to comply with Chinese law, but IIRC you can flash OOS on a A3010 just like regular 3T.
About compatibility with operators - look up at https://willmyphonework.net/
Hello,
I have a p20 pro that i bought from a network provider (Three) and i'm located in Ireland. Its been three months since i owned the phone and there was only one update which was the April update. Now my phone is running at C782 which i reckon is really outdated since there were a June update and the one with extra 960fps slow mo feature. I also believe the gpu turbo mode has been introduced to some phones with the latest update.
How can i get those updates because i really want to get those features asap and not waiting until next year or even never because it does feel like it. Also, will flashing those updates void my warranty?
you can use firmware finder app in playstore
why doesnt motorola release updates, new handsets etc in the usa first? why all these other countries? like they didnt even do a G6+ release in the USA. now the X4 pie gets a brazil release first? uh hello? what about the usa? and why did i spend $419 on the Android one varient if its not getting updates ahead of everyone else? i tell you what i like motorolas phones and all but this practice lately of branching to other countries first, giving them the plus models while sticking us with the crap low end model, is upsetting me.
im nit one of the rich elite with great credit who can finance a phone. in the past ive liked motorolas because they have more affordable phones. but this year the us G6 didnt even have a snapdragon 600 series, the x4 should be getting pie here first. the usa is where the market is
XT1900-1 - Android One Variant - Nov security patch - Still no Pie, but article says standard X4 is getting Pie already, thought A1 variant got updates first.
There are other countries on this planet as well, not only usa
USA: android one, Oreo 8.1, OTA every month
Rest of world: no android one, Oreo 8.0, OTA every second month (Pie is still unofficial - no OTA yet)
I think USA is still first.
Hi all,
I bought an L09 C782 in May on EE
My wife an L09 C782 in June on EE
I rebranded to L29 432 in June
I got updates immediately up to 161.
My wife later got an update to 130 I think.
I jumped over to AOSIP and other ROMs.
My wife had remained bootloader locked and stock EMUI.
I came back to EMUI 8.1 last week, no updates available, currently not rooted.
My wife received her EMUI 9 update a few days ago.
I have nothing and have avoided ever using unofficial methods.
My question is.
How come the 782 is getting pie before 432?
I thought the whole idea to rebranding to 432 was to obtain updates earlier??
It's cool I don't mind but I find this odd.
Has anyone else with the the above devices noticed the same trend?
PS: pie looks the same as EMUI oreo lol, smoother though and some icon changes but beyond that I couldn't see a massive change.
I have a 782 on ee but no update yet. On the other UK users thread, 482 owners have been getting I before 782 owners. God knows what's going on. It's like a cluster ****..

Same setup, no update as yet!
Ditto.
Still waiting for update, I got the P20 Pro from EE the first week it came out!
The Wife and I both have P20 Pro's on EE but hers is unlocked and mine is not. Both are on CL-09 782 but hers was updated to Pie Yesterday. Weird

I got mine through a third party and is unlocked (although I have not tested this) I'm still waiting for the update
I think it's hit and miss you get the update, I kind of get the feeling they are releasing like 30 copies a day or something ???
I've just had my update today! Bought direct from EE! Keep the faith, it's on its way!
First of all. Three Moto devices already received Android 10. Few of them received December 1st security patch. Moto G7 Plus (2,5 times cheaper device) got Android 10 BETA today.
As an owner of Moto One Zoom who spent 450euros on "top" Moto smartphone, wanted to compare stuff from above to my phone:
- October 1st security patch (received it... three days ago, funny.)
- any signs of Android 10? no.
Plus look at my conversation with Moto Support. The same story was with UK support and polish one.
me: Rafał
Moto Agent: Karen
CONVERSATION:
Karen: Hi, my name is Karen. How may I help you?
Karen: Hello! Welcome to Motorola Canada technical Support!
Rafał: hey Karen
Rafał: first of all: i'm very dissapointed with Motorola
Rafał: I spent 450 euros on moto one zoom which lacks of security updates and OS update
Rafał: currently this is your most expensive model in EU
Karen: I would be glad to assist you today! Just in order to document this conversation, would you be so kind of helping me to confirm your full name, email address, phone number and the country from where you are contacting us?
Rafał: let me explain more...
Rafał: Rafał, [email protected]_HERE, Poland
Karen: I see, did you purchase your phone in Canada or Poland?
Rafał: Poland
Rafał: but it does not matter
Karen: Okay, I would like to inform you that you have contacted now the Canada support, Rafał.
Rafał: your two times cheaper devices are getting regular security updates and few of them already got Android 10 update
Rafał: even 2,5times cheaper moto g7 plus which is 1,5y older than moto one zoom got Android 10 in soak
Rafał: this is not fair
Rafał: where should I expect Android 10 update for my phone?
Rafał: and some newer security patch? (the last one i received this week, was for October 1st - was more than dissapointed)
Rafał: polish and uk support couldn't answer.
Rafał: that's why i'm here
Karen: I would like to explain to you that updates are sent to phones over the air as they become available, there is not a way for us to know the specific launch date. For the most accurate information, I would suggest you to contact your local support.
Rafał: before they "become available" they should be developed, dont you think?
Rafał: why they "become available" for cheaper devices first?
Rafał: and why crucial security updates are not released for your "top" model first?
Karen: Updates are sent out by batches, for Canada, in some cases they are launched by the carriers.
Karen: For the most accurate information, please check again with your local support.
Rafał: so you're telling me that next update for my RETEU moto one zoom is ready and it's waiting for its release?
Rafał: as i said - they dont know literally ANYTHING
Rafał: so how can i get ANY informations?
Karen: My apologies Rafał but we do not have information related to updates from other countries, I can talk only on how they work in Canada.
Rafał: this gonna be the same firmware
Rafał: RETAIL one
Rafał: so when canada should expect Android 10 or security updates?
Rafał: you know, I can prepare link for OTA, sideload it to my phone and install
Does anyone have android 10 on the One Zoom?
No, no one has it!
Hope that in March will get Android 10!
Or so i reed in moto forum.

No problem here with security patches.
PPHS29.59-51-3 with also 1. January security patch arrived in Germany!
Nothing in Romania.
Got it today. Hope next one is android 10.
I Poland, got it yesterday.
What is weird, this is literally the least active device on XDA that I have seen.
Yeah u ar right, and no one bothers to correct the dimension of the display in the description of the phone.
It is a shame seeing a high-end device with such a lame support.
I am waiting for Android 10 update before starting to work on AOSP/LineageOS builds, but I think they will neglect this device.
PPHS29.59-49-8 with March security patch arrived in Brazil.
Got it in Poland today.

6/16 update: More broken promises from Motorola. Not a happy customer. My previous phone was a moto X4 Android One, so I know all about Motorola reneging on OS upgrade guarantees. Honestly, Motorola's misuse of the A1 branding at this point is dishonest verging on fraudulent.
I bought my Zoom exactly two weeks ago, it's a great phone and I love it but they're not going to do me dirty on OS upgrades twice in a row. I just filed a return and refund request. It's within the two-week return window so hopefully I'll get a full refund and take my dollars elsewhere. OnePlus 7t looks nice...
Here in Brazil I received the security patch PPHS29.59-49-16 of July 1st. unfortunately the upgrade to Android 10 has not yet come out and Motorola people say they don't know anything about the update.
Don't think android 10 is likely at this point. I'm probably going to attempt to sell this phone and get the new OnePlus Nord. At least that has guaranteed updates for 2 years. It's a shame, really, it's got good hardware and could've had much more potential, but not many people really know about this phone.
Have a little more patience.
I know the wait is frustrating but the test of Android 10 One Zoom is already in its final phase and will soon be released to everyone. :fingers-crossed:
Wow! That's good news! If it's really true.
