buttons xiaomi mi5 - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hello Button (recent and back) in xiaomi mi 5 react badly to lineage-low sensitivity with tempered glass.
I'll be glad when I write.

Xiaomi has built Mi5 with touch panels from different manufacturers (JDI, LGD and Sharp panel).
They havent released the new drivers for LGD (and sharp?) panels yet, so Bruno (and the mi5 dev-team) cannot solve this problem until Xiaomi releases drivers.

How we can see which type of panel we have in Mi 5 ?Any accurate app ar more simple way from the sistem?

Go to: Settings > About Phone > scroll down to "Kernel version" > tap on it 4 (or 5) times > you will enter the CIT program ... sorry the CIT app.
In the CIT (hardware tests) at number 2 of the list there is "Check version info". Click it and scroll to the end; the entry titled "LCM information" will tell you what display is mounted on the device.
mini-tech-note: this method works on the 6 (mm), not sure if on 7 (nugato) the CIT is there or somewhere else.

Pop up call window

Yesterday, i have invested in a note 8 with the android 7.1.1 and i realized the the pop up window from the note 4 android 6.0.1 that pops up when you press the home button/enter an application while in a call (as shown in the picture attached) is gone and from what i see neither do galaxy s7s and s7 edges dont have it either with 6.0.1 and with 7.1.1 so i would like to know if this feature was removed or do you just need to apply it in the settings and if it was removed is there an app/patch you can download to have it?
thanks in advance
here is the pop up image:

Did not own a note 4 so do not know if this is the exact feature you are looking for but the note 8 does have a pop up action view. Under Settings>Advanced features>Multiwindow there is a toggle for pop up action view. This allows you to drag down from the corner to put the current app into a small window. Works well with YouTube and other apps.

This is also happening on my new Samsung Galaxy S9 running Android 8.0.0, Samsung Experience 9.0. I'm talking to their support to try and get them to take it on as an issue.
I know there is a patch that can do it but i dont know whrer to have it????

The top bar where there is a three dots, keyboard option, four arrows icon, and a setting icon.
It is so annoying, and made my keyboard looks so huge.
I used to be able to remove it easily on my s8plus, and now I can't find the option everywhere...

Developer options is missing?

I have scoured the internet for answers on why my developer options won't turn on. I'm running a note 8.

Hate to ask such an obvious question but, are you aware the developers option shows up at the bottom of the main settings page, just under "about phone"?
Failing that, if you download this app from the Play Store, it should hopefully give you access to developers options menu, seeing as you have already enabled it by clicking on the build number 7 times
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=options.developer.com.developeroptions
I know where developer options should be, it's not there.
Also the app is telling me to turn it on

Did you tap on "Build Number" more then 7 times in about phone/software info.?
Keep on tapping it you'll see a toast message at bottom of screen counting down to 0 the it will say developers options enabled. Then back out of settings and reopen settings and scroll down to bottom. Might try rebooting the phone.
Worst case scenario is to do a BACKUP and factory reset. Not necessarily needed but who knows.

How To Guide How to turn off terrible Audio Dirac Tuner

We need:
- OnePlus Nord CE 5G
- OxygenOS 11.0.9.9.EB13AA
- root (I have Magisk without TWRP)
- App Manager (Github)
I could start to just start screaming how terrible feature it is, and we even can't permanently turn it off, but my English is bad so better let's start.
1. Open App manager
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Open side menu.
3. Go to the second option - probably "list settings" in English.
4. Untick selected option (It will be ticked by default) - probably "user applications" in English.
5. Then in the search bar type: "tuner" and click on "Tuner audio Dirac".
6. Click Turn-off equivalent in your language (mine is ON because I turned it off before) - don't worry, just click this down pointing arrow icon.
7. Reboot
8. Test if this works:
Testing Methods:
- plug your headphones and listen same track with the same headphones on PC and phone
- go to options, pick audio related options, and then you will see Dirac options - click them, you should get white screen and then force push to options main menu (Its DESIRED effect) - after doing same thing continuously you will get settings menu crash (this only appears after doing this twice - not important thing)
When you get same results as above - congratulations: operation complete.
During testing, watch for any unexpected behaviour (You turned off a system component after all).
One important thing: Don't REMOVE/UNINSTALL a component. This app is already turned off and never self-activate (maybe until update, then do the same steps). I think removing this feature will affect negatively on system (somehow).

Yes, you can easily disable it within the Google app settings. Follow these instructions.
Open the Google app.
Tap on More at the bottom right.
Navigate to Settings > General.
Turn off the "Discover" toggle.
Congrats! Now it shall be disabled.
Also, please use the English language as it will be much easier for people to understand your question and help you. If you're unable to post in English, use an online translator.
I have Discover turned off and the tab continues to show up
Ah, I think you mean that Google is showing up if you swipe left on the home screen past page 1.
This is how to do it for most phones:
Tap and hold on your home screen and select "Home settings" from the pop-up.
Look for the "Show Google App" toggle and disable it on the next screen.
Pretty easy, huh?
Unfortunately, I don't have that option. If someone had or has realme 8, please advise me on how to get rid of the Google window by swiping to the left

Bro just use any third party launcher from playstore. Or disable/uninstall Google app by your pc using adb shell.
