Unlocking MI5 Bootloader On Global Stable Rom. [MIUI8.1] - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

How does it take to get response from miui team for unlocking request ?
Again, can I request them more than one time ?
Can someone tell me the full procedure of unlocking bootloader ?
I meant the conditions and how I should start ?
Do I need to be in Dev rom ? Or it's okay to be in Global Stable to get approved unlocking request ?
Let, I'm approved to unlock my bootloader. Then what should I do ? Need I to flash Dev Rom first to start unlocking with unlock tool ?
I'm a noob here in Mi devices.
Please someone tell me from the start.
I'd be happy if someone let me knock him via PM.
Thank You all.

Yes, you can.
[Tools, Tips & Tutorials] Unbrick Bootloop/Flashing Official Fastboot ROM for Mi5 with Locked Bootloader
Type this in google and the first result will be the thread from en.miui.com. Just follow the steps from that thread.
And yes, this rom is unofficial, full of bloatware rom.
(Can't post links )
Yes you can. Just have a visit to the official miui forum. Go to the devices, select MI5/Pro, Go to the tips and tutorials and you should see a post called. Just follow that. It worked for me. Bootloader locked and unlocked does not matter!

Is it possible to change to China Stable Rom without unlocking bootloader?

Like topic mention I want to flash to china stable rom then eventually china developer. But I haven't been able to unlock bootloader (stuck at 50%). Tried everything but this thing ain't unlocking for my phone. Currently using Global Developer. So question here is it possible to flash china stable rom without unlocking bootloader?
Yes, you can flash china dev rom.. And you dont need china stable first. Directly do the dev flash and unlock ur device.

Unlocking bootloader with global developer rom

Can I unlock Mi5 bootloader with Global Developer Rom? Some site says that I need the Chinese rom, so I am a bit confused. If anyone has unlocked the device with the Global rom, please let me know.
Unloking bootloader
Hi,
I unloked my device after flashing global rom miui 8 not chinese dev rom, for my little experience if you asking about unloking bootloader means that you have official rom global or dev, you should then be able to unlock your phone once you have permission granted. I hope that helps you.
i unlocked my mi5 on global dev 6.11.10 (latest global dev ota) without any problems.
I unlocked my mi5 last week while on global stable MIUI 8.1 with no problems whatsoever, so I don't see why it won't be possible on global dev

China 4/128 unlock bootloader

Could somebody point me to a guide how to unlock bootloader of MiMax 2 with China MIUI (NDDCNED)?
Or should I flash Global rom and use guide for global Max?

Just like that? Thought that I had to do something more as there is guide for global device and for chineese one nothing...
Thans
Apply for unlock code once it is approved download the tool mentioned on website and unlock ur device
I have the global version you no longer have to apply to unlock. You download it all and .. done. Had to go in to DEV and set two things.

It would certainly help to your cause if you get to be a member of the MIUI forum and fire a few posts prior to requesting for unlock code.

Question STILL NO CUSTOM ROM FOR OUR BELOVED REALME 8

Do any of you guys know any custom ROM for this device ?
TWRP is available, so you can root your device and optimise it, but I dont think there'll be a custom rom for your device, mainly because it has an mtk chipset.
Yes
Wish there's one
gsi images is a great way to customize our phone.the problem is the dynamic partition.we must find a way ,to flash a gsi image in the dynamic partition.
i think we can start the fastboot mode over the twrp recovery.i dont no ,how usefull this is to flash a rom.can anybody with more practice test it. iam not sure if i can flash the system.img easily to the system partition.
Custom roms will be available after when realme release official bootloader unlock tool (deepest.apk) because unlocking via mtkclient corrupts dm-verity and fastboot mode.
Thanks Tony for the information
Thanks Tony

Seems there will be no official bootloader unlock in the future
Sad to hear it !
Guys please don't root your smartphone and don't unlock the bootloader , no need as there will be no custom rom for this device

If bootloader for Realme 7 isn't supported than how can so much custom rom for that device be developed??
i mean, you guys could just try using KingoROOT to 1 click root your device and then remove bloat/optimise the installed stock rom

Not work for most of the users. It only works in Indonesian and some Russian devices only. So not useful.
