Hello, i have p8 lite dualsim b586, A year ago i unlocked bootloader, installed twrp, root, ESAL. I want now to play pGO, and i need to completety unroot etc I dont more need root and esal.
I do:
Soft reseted software,
Flashed stock recovery,
Unrooted.
But still in google play i have "no certificate" and safetynet false.
What can i do?
Sorry for my bad eng.
Flash system, boot, cust and I think data with fastboot
Thanks for reply, i fixed this by:
Flashed stock recovery, download same software ver as i already have installed, put update.app in dload, and installed it by v+, v-, power, and i got it working without any data lost
Have the problem with new B594-version on a device without open bootloader, without custom roms and without any modification. Maybe the firmware is roll out to fast by huawei with the march-patch. Can it be that the certificate come back in few days? Then when all have security patch from march? For what is this certification needed? Have no problems without the certification. On B588 was it present.

Hi. how did you root your device? my bootloader is already unlocked but i cant root my device.
Good day all,
got a new OTA rolled in for my Droid Turbo, though I already have a clean flash from MM on this device.
The following update rolled in which failed to install per TWRP recovery (ERROR 7)
What exactly is this update?
Has to be installed with stock MM recovery, OR flash the full stock firmware, twrp version, in twrp (3020) worked for me. Don't forget to wipe caches, data unnecessary.

But I do not want to re-flash my firmware. Especially since this update is only 20+ mb it is not large enough for me to re-clean everything and restart it all. Stock recovery is the only solution?
Stock recovery only for tbe OTA. The OTA will likely fail if the ROM isn't pure stock. Flash the twrp version and wipe, and you'll only need to reload any ROM extras. Root with the beta SU after a simmered restart. It seems to like a settled ROM better. Update SU via PlayStore at restart.

If by re-clean you mean re-delete system apps that you don't want, that will be inevitable. The OTA will not install unless system is 100% stock, and the TWRP package will reflash everything to 100% stock. So either way, if you want this update, you'll be re-deleting some system apps.
However, if you're worried about losing userdata, don't. Neither the OTA nor the TWRP package will touch that.
As for your original question of "what is the update," it's just a security patch. It updates the android security patch level to January 2017, and it makes it so phones with locked bootloaders cannot be unlocked (but it will not re-lock and already unlocked bootloader).

Thank you for the info on the update. I will not do the effort for a patch like that.
Hello All,
So I'm in a bit of a precarious situation here. I was on Mokee 6.1, and was looking to upgrade to 7.1, so I downloaded the TWRP 3.1 img and attempted to install it directly from TWRP 3.0 . After installing and attempting to go into recovery mode, the phone would just go to a blank screen and not go into TWRP at all. So after this, I made a back up and performed a factory reset. I had assumed that a factory reset would reset the phone back to the stock rom it came with, however it simply reset it back to stock Mokee 6.1. So essentially, I'm trying to ascertain how to go to completely back to the stock rom so I can basically start from the beginning(re-installing TWRP 3.1 ect), but since I can't get into recovery mode, im not sure how to do that.
Also note, I THOUGHT my phone was fully rooted, however after using root checker it says that it's not. So i assume it's just boot loader unlocked. Would fully rooting the phone help me out at all here? I'd assume i could use the TWRP official APP and maybe get 3.1 installed from there, however i'm not 100 percent sure how to "root" the phone, as I'd believed i'd done it during the process of originally installing Mokee 6.1 . If someone could direct me to those instructions, if you think it'd help, that would be great as well.
Thanks!
Use the QPST/QFIL method and get the phone onto ZUI 1.9 ROM.
Once that is completed the bootloader will be locked again and you will be able to update to the latest stock rom OTA. When you have updated to the latest Zui 2.5.435 you can then unlock bootloader and root the device again if you need to.

Hi,
Device: EVA-L19
Short background: I need to return the phone due to hardware problem. Color camera won't focus and I believe this is a hardware issue as I've tried flashing a different ROM. The problem is I have rooted my phone.
I tried the SRK Tool to relock the bootloader but after I reboot it just gets stuck in recovery mode doesn't even boot to system.
Is there any website I could download the stock rom for EVA-L19? Is there any guide in which I could refer to reverse all the things I made (bootloader, unroot, etc)?
Any help appreciated. :good:
Thanks.

There are a lot of threads, discussions and guides here on XDA
First of all, you must know which cust cXXX and build bYYY you are looking for your L19, installations can differ
You can install FirmwareFinder app from Google Play (there is also a thread here about), from that app you can download particular ROMs
Generally, if you just rooted your phone, you should unroot (depending how did you Root it) and then you can reinstall the same cust and build (to clear all records of rooting) - use FF app, FullOTA-MF-PV versions can be easily installed by DLOAD method (which is described elsewhere in Huawei P9 threads)
At the end, you will probably also need to re-lock bootloader - for rooting, you should have installed TWRP, and for that you needed unlocked bootloader and FRP
To revert, best follow/ask in the threads you were following when rooting etc
Hi everyone;
I have a rooted and unlocked Nokia 8 TA-1004 (Security Patch 1 July 2018; 00WW_4_88B_SP02).
I followed the guides on this very forum on how to root and unlock (first) and then how to put TWRP (after I already had rooted and unlocked).
The problem I'm having is exactly what the title says:
I have the possibility to update to SP of August but I just can't; it gives me an installation error as soon as it finishes downloading.
I already tried to Factory Reset the phone and when that didn't solve anything I tried (and succeded) putting TWRP hoping it would solve (hope never dies) the problem but it didn't.
I'm at a loss here, can anyone help me?

This "problem" happens because the Android OS only updates the other partition set (A/B) when it's all stock and to achieve root thru Magisk we must patch the bootloader, making it unsuitable for the process.
You need to revert back to the official bootloader and then you'll be able to get it updated. After that just apply the patched bootloader to regain root/twrp and unfortunately that's what you gotta do on every update.
So uhhh how and where do I get the stock bootloader?
If I flash the magisk uninstaller I should get the stock boot image back because Magisk backs it up but I don't thing that alone does the trick.
What else do I need and where do I get it?
That's not an issue related to bootloader but rather to the patched boot.img existing on both paritions A/B. You'll have to restore Magisk backup image or reflash official June OTA and start updating the system without Magisk.
So if I just flash the Magisk uninstaller I will regain the ability to update?

Either you'll have ability to update or soft brick 50/50 odds
I don't like those odds ?
I tried restoring the boot image using Magisk's tool (since the version 17 there's the option of restoring the boot.img without actually uninstalling everything but it says it doesn't have any boot.img backed up...
I guess I'm back to square one and need to downgrade to the June update... Can I just flash it?
