Battery stats not updating - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Yes, I charge it to 100%. I can not refresh the stats. Sometimes they randomly update while using the phone and stay like they were and don't update after unplugging until they may or may not update at some point during usage... I'm getting redundant here...
Too confusing to read:
- battery stats are updating infrequently and randomly
- charging does not necessarily reset the stats
- BetterBatteryStats shows the stats correctly
This is OOS 4.0.3, I'm rooted and on newest SuperSu, no further mods. Had that issue on my OP3 too. As noone else seems to have this issue, I am looking for ideas what the cause might be.

[Q] ParanoidAndroid v.03 huge battery drain

Hey guys, i just wanted to know if anyone is getting this issue. After installing paranoid android V.03 im having this huge battery drain. Almost 10% battery loss every 40 minutes even with Mobile Data and WiFi off. I should say i've flashed this rom over a stock gb. There is no modifications and the kernel used is the same that comes with that rom.
look for BetterBatteryStats and CPU Spy, download it. Check in CPU spy if ur phone is going into deep sleep, If not, put it in airplane mode, reboot and turn airplane mode off, if still not going in Deep Sleep, open BetterBatteryStats check the wakelocks and come back here.
First day on v0.3 I had the same problem. But it was really interesting when I figured out why the battery drain was so fast.
Look at your battery status if there is any drops like 3-5% which was happened immediately in a second. If yes your system is rebooting sometimes and that makes your battery drained. I had 1 or 2 reboots every hour on the first day.
If you didnt wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache after flashing the update may be that is the problem.
i did wipe the device. I have not notice any reboots . I'll fully charge it and check the battery life again. I've notice a fast battery drain even when i'm using it to text only. Like it's 80% one moment and when i look back at it it's like 78% Out of nowhere ( and as i said no data or WiFi).
Edit: almost forgot to mention. Just checked the cpu spy app and it does go into deep sleep(it shows an 8hour record in that state).

If you flash a rom with less than full battery it will take a few days/restarts/charging cycles for the battery stats to reconfigure correctly. This is the case with all roms, stock or otherwise.
If it persists after that, better battery stats should help identify what program is swallowing all the juice.
PS. I'm on same rom and kernel and have excellent battery life so it should resolve itself after a couple of charges.
Sent from my Paranoid Android GT-N7000. It doesn't get much better than this!
Well.. i've been using it as always, and still feeling like it's going down too fast. When i flashed the rom , i did it with full battery. Anyways, i'll keep using it for a few days more and see if it changes. i've installed betterbattery stats and CPUspy as you guys recommended, so i'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the replies, i'll let you know guys any changes :good:
+1
ihave this problem with this rom battery drain
WTF ??!!!

Terribly fast discharging on DjangoManouche X 1.6.5

Hello, my phone is terribly fast discharging. It hardly survive a half of day with just reading text documents. I'm using just the same apps as on Gingerbread ROM where was no problem. Also I didn't overlock a processor. The problem came out just after instaling this ROM. Then it was solved for some weeks by wiping baterry stats but now fast discharging is back and wiping has no influence anymore. I also turned of wireless internet, brightness and every posible source of discharging but no change. Any help?

Use better battery stats to pin point the exact culprit(s). Then we'll be able to help you beetra, as to what is causing the wakelocks
In partial wakelocks is most consuming ConnectivityService (android system process)
In kernel wakelock is most consuming PowerManagerService
Yes, I do use Wi-fi often but such battery drain never happend to me on any ROM for LG 2X. Also I've made factory reset yester day, then wipe everything and installed Django ROM once again according to instructions. Unfortunately, result is the same.

[Q] major battery drainage issues

So I have android version 5.1 with the latest CyanogenMod nightly and my battery seems to drain extremely fast. About 5% a minute without the charger and 1-2% every 8-10 minutes with the charger. It over heats extremely fast even when I'm not using it for anything major I've checked my apps to see how much battery % they use I just don't get it I've had the phone for about 5 months and never had this isue . it started yesterday evening I had the viper one ROM installed so I thought that it was causing my issue so I flashed CyanogenMod and still have the same problem. I've tried letting it drain completely then charging it for 10 minutes then holding the volume up down and the power button for 2 minutes and even that didn't help. I just hope it isn't fried. Is there anything I can do or am I just completely 100% out of luck ?

Did you actually check what exact process is draining the battery from the Battery usage option from settings?
i would strongly advise against using the phone in this condition as you will permanently damage the battery(if you haven't already). I noticed a recent increase in battery drain but not as significant. The drain you are talking about is abnormally huge, do you remember flashing anything or installing any app? Generally there is a known issue with Google play services causing huge drain on several lollipop devices.
Try installing Amplifier (xposed module) and disable as much as you can of wakelocks and alarms in the "safe to limit" list.
Try wiping the cache/dalvik cache from the recovery. and/or "fastboot erase cache"
Install GSam Battery Monitor and share some screens

[Q] Moto X 2013 Battery Broken / Jumps? Not: Cell Standby Bug or Play Services.

Hey,
since OTA updating my Ghost (Moto X 2013 xt1052) to the stock version of Lollipop 5.1 I am experiencing a very strange battery behaviour. I have noticed these three cases:
1: Battery displays 1% but the phone will work for another two to three hours until it will power off itself
2: Phone sometimes dies when at levels like 30%
3: Battery consumption is not the best but OK. It drains relatively stable but after reaching 15% it will most likely jump from 15% to 4% and then 1% in a few minutes. Can jump up and down then
I tried letting it drain and charging it up fully while turned off. No effect.
I also tried factory reset and wipe naturally. No effect.
I tried installing a debulked version of the stock rom. No effect.
I flashed CM 12.1 an have the same issues. Plus now the battery level jumps in the stats somethimes although the phone is defenitely not plugged in or charging.
I would like to show you a screenshot of my battery stats here that illuminate the problem quite well but as a newbie I cant
PS: I also have the very common bug where the phone updates all the installed apps at startup when it is started while plugged to a charger. Maybe this is connected?
I couldn't find any info about this behavior. Can you help me? It certainly looks like a bad battery but it intrigues me that the problem occurred only after updating to 5.1. Might it also be a driver or firmware problem of some sort? Some sort of software that does not change when ROMs are switched?
Thanks! Lorenz
