memory per app control - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

I wondering if there's a stable ROM that's impemented a setting so you can control memory priority to specific apps, to keep apps from closing when their using to much memory. Or if anyone know of a "trusted app" that will do that , that doesn't ask for permissions it doesn't need.. thx for the help

Can I get a mod to move my thread to the question forum.. thx put it here on accident

Yes you can do that by removing them from optimised list.

[Q] How to enable write access in phones memory ?

I have a ringtone, which i want to put in phones memory's ringtones folder and phone blocks me. How can i change permissions of that Ringtones folder ?
read first thread in dev section
Thankyou for telling him, i didnt notice your post and was starting to rage!
You dont need to is the simple answer...Open your sdcard. Your going to make some folders...
First folder is media, inside media you make another called audio...
Then inside audio make one called notifications and one called ringtones
so inside audio you have 2 folders put ringtones into the ringtone folder and notifications in the notification folder!
Also if you are usign blayo's B.0.8 you can adb or terminal "aufs --enable" reboot it then write to system..
Next time ask in the Questions and Answers or at lest in the general..
Im sure if you had searched the development section for Writing to System you would have found blayo's bit..Please read the forum rules..
bonesy: please stop answering the questions when put on wrong section.. otherwise people will just think: I'll post in Dev section cause someone will give me an answer anyway..

Rooting

First of all,hi guys.I am new to rooting.I just installed the official JB update for my S Advance and there are a few bugs which I understood could be solved using that No-Frills app.Could anyone post a link or just explain the safest and easiest way to root my phone so I can use that app?
Also,if anyone got those bugs fixed otherwise, please give me other advice, the problems are:
-720p videos tend to freeze my phone
-battery drains without no apparent reason sometimes
-games sometimes work like a charm but other times they barely work, freezing and so on
-random freezes of apps that shouldn't,like text messaging or simply pressing the home key
Sorry if other threads about this already exist.I honestly tried to find some answers to my question but a lot of things around this forum are completely new to me.
Also, besides the other things,a link or explanation on how to downgrade ro 2.3 back (just in case) would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Folder for shortcuts

Hello,
1st of all i used the search function but couldn't find anything relevant so i went ahead and made this thread.
I just bought a new Xperia SP and while arranging my app shortcuts on the home-screen i noticed something missing ... the folders.
Is there anyway to get the app folder that was available on 2.3 ?
I tried using some apps but none are good enough ... i got used to those form the X10 2.3
PS : can a mod move this to "Q&A" plz

Well my old phone was a X10 with FeraLab Rom. But even on stock GB Rom i had an option to add folders on home-screen.
When you press and hold on home-screen you get the option to add different stuff : widgets / apps / wallpapers / themes / etc.
What i want is the "add folder" option that was available on 2.3.
I've uploaded a screenshot to see what i'm talking about.
I want that same functionality ... to be able to use the folder in the dock and add shortcuts to it.
move one icon to other and that will be create a folder
