[Q] Soft Bricked virgin mobile galaxy s3 after 5.0 OTA update

Just got the 5.0 update today and much to my dismay I have been "bricked". Update was doing ok until It restarted and stayed in the samsung splash screen for 2 hours. Took out battery and put back in, nothing. It does boot to download mode, but does nothing in recovery for me to do any wipes. just says "no command" with a dead android and after about 5 seconds restarts itself to the same boot screen and stays that way. I have been at this for hours and no ideas. any help is welcomed.

softbricked 6? stuck at boot animation

Was running stock 6.0.1 in unlocked mode, and applied the 7.0 OTA Tuesday AM. Phone booted fine, with the exception that the 6.0.1 boot animation displaying. Phone booted into 7.0, so whatever. worked great for 2 days, when i woke up yesterday screen wouldn't turn on, so hold the the power button and re-start. Phone got to boot animation and stayed there for an hour until i shut it off, never got to the pattern unlock screen. I've tried wiping it, factory resetting it, installing TWRP to wipe and install, nothing, still stuck at the boot animation, no matter how long i let it sit. I've tried flashing other roms, with the same results. I can get into bootloader and recovery without issue, and can flash without errors (that i'm aware of) but always have the same result. Any thoughts? Or am i going phone shopping today?

Galaxy note 8 (sm-950u1) stuck in boot loop

Good afternoon folks, I'm having a very big problem. Yesterday I was using my phone listening to music, I then received a text message in a group text. I went to pull down the notification center but my touch screen wasn't responding. I thought it was a one off but tried to open my phone and nothing was responding to my touch. I then did a reset (vol dnw+power) which restarted the phone but still the touch screen was unresponsive. Reset phone again now here I am in the infinite boot loop. It starts to galaxy note 8 screen and stays for about 30 sec then goes to recovery mode but will lock up and restart this process over again. I've tried to manually boot into recovery mode but it doesn't work. I'm able to boot to download mode where I've tried flashing with stock firmware but after flashing is restart back to the boot loop. Note 8 hasn't been flashed with anything custom before so this thing is a big mystery for me. Any help would be greatful. Thanks in advance

Make sure you flash the correct firmware for your model. What is SM-950u1 anyway?? You should also use the latest Odin 3.13.1 or higher. Odin lower than that is giving problems with Oreo firmware. Good luck. LJ

Thanks for your input, sm-n950u1 is the model number according to sam mobile site for the firmware. But found out that phone was still under manu. warranty after registering it on samsungs website. So i shipped it off yesterday so they can get to the bottom of it
