Disable heads up notifications - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Is there a way to disable heads up on OOS. Remember doing it a while ago I think either on my S6 edge or S7 edge by editing a file. Changing headsup=1 into 0 would disable it but cannot remember how I did that now.
Thanks in advance

In System UI Tuner you can turn on Power Notification Control. From there you can hide heads up notifications from the apps you want I hope that's what you're talking about, otherwise I look like a fool..

Any pie control app work with the n6?

I don't like the factory software buttons for back, home, recent app list.
I miss having the full screen and being able to swipe in with pie control. Anyone have this implemented yet?
Does anyone know the build.prop tweak for nexus 6 to remove the stock nav buttons?
If you're rooted you can disable the nav bar with a build. Prop tweak, then use LMT launcher (not launcher replacement) for pie
I use PIE Control on Play. Works great, but requires root. It also asks for a bunch of permissions as you can control the entire device with it

@skripta, are you using the one by coolace? I was just using that one and it didn't work... I'm rooted, but never got a prompt to grant root privielage to it.

I think it only needs root of you have the 3 dot menu in pie and go to use it.

@skripta, I see the problem. I'm trying to use it from the bottom and not the sides. If I try the sides, it works fine... Odd
Perhaps cause I haven't deactivated the stock softbutton controls is why the bottom doesn't work?

Negative, copy paste. That flag tells Android that you have hardware keys, and therefore disable the Navbar.

I'm gonna use pie control after I make my change and see if I can get swipe up from bottom to work.
If not, I'll go with LMT

Yeah i get that since this has been an option in almost all roms, but wondering what happens then if you do this on a phone with no physical buttons. Lol are you just stuck in whatever you go in?

You use one of the navigation bar replacements. LMT, Pie, or many others exist.

Stuck a bit, you can still access settings via status bar.
You can always adb and change the build.prop by computer. SlimROM already has a toggle cooked in Settings to enable/disable navbar or change the size.

How do you disable multi window on the S6?

As you can see I did search this topic...can't even find an answer on google. Which worries me...
Often, I'll swipe down from the notification bar which turns the app I'm viewing, if capable, into a multi window view. This is incredibly annoying. Coming from the Note 4, there was a quick toggle (or in settings) to turn this off. I can not seem to find how to turn this function off with the S6. Any help out there?
I was just going to post the same question How the hell do you turn off that annoying multi view crap?
I wanna know this as well and how do I turn off the lightof the back and the cent button also?

I mean the back button and recent button, it lights up as soon as you touch the screen, there was an option to turn this off in S5.

Then click Data Aagin
Then Click com.android.providers.settings

I found the new MultiWindow gesture pretty annoying. On my S6 every time I swept down on the notification bar using one hand I'd always create a floating window. On other Galaxy devices there is a Quick Toggle to turn the MultiWindow feature off/on. The ability to control the feature is still in the S6 however it is not exposed in the user interface. I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung's MultiWindow. Look for "MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung" on the Play Store.

The ability to resize Multi Window taken away

Did samsung make the split screen not resizable?
Before when I used multi window, I could resize the windows, switch their positions etc. But when I use it now, the screen splits into two and that's it. All the other features are taken away.
Is anyone else experiencing this or am I having a bug?
Works fine for me. Minimize the toolbar by tapping anywhere in one of the multi windows, then drag the circle up or down to resize.
Any way to switch it off?

It ain't there man. I tap inside the window, it gets selected as I see the blue square around it, but that circle that u drag to resize, alongside other controls are all missing.
I can't do anything but having two similar sized windows side by side.

Which variant do you have or maybe it's the ROM if not on stock? Here's what my N920T looks like.
Thanks for taking the time my man.
Thats what mine used to look like too up to about a week ago. Mine is N9208 stock. Not even rooted.
It would be strange if samsung decided to disable controls only for this model.
Mine is looking like this now

Have you used that package disabler app to disable any bloat? With me, it was disabling the flashbar service which caused this issue for me until I pinpointed it.

You can do adb commands to hide the status bar. You can also auto hide the navigation bar by double tapping the circle on the left side of it.

Nav Bar Disable!

I know some people are looking for this. I have been searching through a lot of posts and found some Apk's that didn't work or worked through the Samsung theme blaba. I found one that works without too much trouble, install and reboot! Sometimes it will ask to be Uninstalled when you delete a app. Just click cancel, sorry for original maker but I cannot find the post where I found the Apk.
Make sure to have an alternate way of navigating before installing!

I love the concept but long home press stops working, and alternatives to the nav bar dont work in secure mode.
Does any one know of a working navbar height reducer?
I have tried a few apk's that were working on S8+ but they have no effect on Note 8.
Thanks in advance

What I'd prefer is the ability to see my nav icons only across the entire system, across all apps, but make the background of the nav bar transparent. Using no themes. Stock. Does that make sense? Things are transparent whilst I'm on the home screen, naturally. So that's not an issue. But across all apps? That's what I'd LOVE to have.

I believe both of those are the same because I am having the same issue. I think the problem is my fingers are too fat to properly hit those smaller icons. :silly:
Probably.
Have you tried reducing the DPI in developer options?
This also has the effect of reducing nav bar size.
