my OnCircle feature doesnt work. It is turned ON and so is advanced messaging. But the feature still doesn't work
.
Don't feel bad mine doesn't either, don't bother calling Samsung as they will not have any ideas to help. Don't call your carrier because they will just refer you to Samsung. Don't go to bestbuy asking because the Samsung rep will say that its because of Google hangouts (at least that is what my rep said) odds are its just something that only works in China somewhere
spent hours speaking to Samsung and Optus yesterday and eventually managed to figure out It is carrier based and also some features only work if your contact has a S6 or S6 edge
**** works perfectly for me.. only can send it to my girlfriend coz she has the normal edge..

Is yours abnormal?
No she has the s6 edge
It only works when other person has an edge (plus) too.

Anyone with any variant of the s6 or s7 and Note 5 can OnCircle. The b problem is is that there are a few bugs preventing it from working...
1. To test first go ahead and save your own number as a contact and go to MyPeople and see if you pop up. If you do then that means your OnCircle is working fine and the others either does not or doesn't have a compatible device...
2. If you do not pop up on MyPeople go to your default Messages app: More>Settings>Enhanced Messaging and turn it on if it was off go ahead and try to do the step 1 test if it was on/ still will not work continue to step 3
3. Go to your default Messages app: More>Settings>Enhanced Messaging>Registered Information and make sure all options are checked and test out step 1 again if it fails them go to step 4
4. Go to your default Messages app: More>Settings>Enhanced Messaging>Registered Information>More>Deregister Phone Number...
Then re-register it and once it's registered go ahead and turn on all the required settings like Enhanced Messaging, Profile Sharring, OnCircle etc... then test out step 1 again and it should work this time, if not reboot and try again and if still no go then your carrier does not support Enhanced Messaging. Try modifying your APN, for instance i cannot use Enhanced Messaging with a Simple Mobile APN so i use the T-Mobile APN which works perfectly...
***Profile Sharing allows you to be found by other contacts that have OnCircle only if you both have each other saved as contacts (you can modify these settings) but just like IMessage and FaceTime, your profile data is hosted on samsungs server so go to Contacts>MyProfile and make sure you share only the information you want, and even if you don't share your address, samsung will still have it on their servers so if privacy is your issue, don't fill out this information, and check to see if it was autofilled by your Samsung Account.
If you would like to add me on OnCircle and test out the features, send me a message on Skype and I'll be willing to add more friends to my very very low count of 2 OnCircle Friends, (one's myself).
Thank you.

Hi all! I have unlocked S8 with T-Mobile firmware, but for some reason, my phone isn't letting me know if sms/mms was delivered. I have set all the options in Samsung Messages app, properly. When I text to another Galaxy user which supports advanced messaging on T-Mobile network, then I do see "delivered", but not other people.
Hi,
I am trying to set up a SIP Account on my Galaxy Note 9 which is running Android Pie. I am unable to find the settings to do this. Any help/pointers would be appreciated.
Best,
Krish
I'm having the exact same problem on galaxy s9. I can't find the Internet call settings under phone settings. Did you ever found a way?
Is it because you can use WiFi calling now that those settings aren't there?

I too would like to know if the note 9 has a native SIP client?
Did anyone find a solution to this?
I have SM-N960F Dual Sim and Im in Australia.
I want to use the native SIP client - but I can not find it all
It is really annoying me
any updates?
native sip settings are deactivated/deleted from any samsung phone since i think android 6.0.
you can try activating the native settings with this: (dev has like 3 different apps to try, some depent on android version so try also the other apps)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.liebrand.galaxysipaccounts&hl=de
but it won't work for me for outgoing calls on Note10+ Android 10 DBT
for outgoing and incoming calls i am using this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vn.calls.sip&hl=de
but the app will freeze after a while so the incoming calls wont show up and also no notification appears.
if you just wanna call someone from time to time then the app is perfect for this.
Hey I'm on the AT&t official pi build for the Samsung Galaxy note 9 and I was wondering does anyone else get those bounce back notifications when replying to a text in the stock messaging app? Everytime I send the reply I get a notification with my reply in it and I was wondering is there any way to turn that off or is that just some type of setting that's just automatically on I've looked and I've looked and I can't find anywhere that slightly mention such a thing to turn it off.
I've been trying to figure out why RCS messaging isn't available on my s10+. I checked on the samsung messages app and the android messages app and the option is not there. It also wasn't even there on my s7 edge and my carrier (Bell) does support it. I'm using the unlocked canadian version. So does anyone know how to enable it?
