I have xiaomi mi 3 purchased in 2014. now its in fast boot mode and android os is not loading. I tried to use flash rom tool to flash the rom and install new row.
I used
1.cancro_images_V8.2.1.0.MXDCNDL_20170117.0000.00_6.0_cn_a50bc845d3
2.cancro_global_images_V8.2.1.0.MXDMIDL_20170111.0000.00_6.0_global_d3d0820b62
images to flash rom using their flash rom tool. at the end of flashing tool says its successful.
but it reboots again and again and only showing the mi logo.
thought the above cancro images are very much new for the phone and then i found some older version of the rom from following url : en.miui.com/download-101
There are several older roms avaliable but not possible to use with flash rom too.
what should be my next step to make it useable
Thanks in advance
Hello, try installing TWRP recovery from fastboot method using command
fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
Reboot to recovery and install latest MIUI ROM.
If you haven't updated the device to MIUI based on Android marshmallow then possibly you have dual partition.
If you have marshmallow installed earlier follow the steps
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data cache system dalvik
Install MIUI latest ROM
Reboot.
If you didn't update to marshmallow search how to update to marshmallow in MIUI forums and follow instructions
Try to replace your battery. Some short bootloop on Mi3 caused by dead/faulty battery, and after some time it would only enter fastboot.
Test your battery by charging your cellphone normally on turned off state. You can turn it off by press and holding the power button.
Does it able to reach the offline charging screen (the green battery screen)? Does it charge normally? Or does its LED just keep blinking red?

Greetings Everyone
My Device
I have Mi Mix 6GB 256GB
What I got it with
I was on Chinese MIUI8 and I believe Stock Recovery Was Mi Recovery 3.smth
What got me here
1)I moved to Epic Rom following proper method BL Unlocked,TWRP by MRRaines and Wiped Dalvik,DATA,System,Cache and Flash
2)I didnt liked it much then on same recovery following same method installed RR MIX it was insanely Lagging too much stutter thought it would need me to wipe userdata too so wiped all again from TWRP flashed again it was smoother but games were dropping so i thought ill wait for Stable Lineage Build (when ever there is)
Finally I decided to get back to Chinese MIUI
Here's what I've tried so far
For Updater Method Via Epic ROM
Downloaded Official ROM figured TWRP couldn't flash it ,Grabbed Stock Recovery flashed it via fastboot but Recovery buttons lead me to misuite.com screen or whatever it was to flash via official software
tried recovery from another source same issue
Then I went for Fastboot Method
Downloaded Fastboot ROM with .BAT and Download MiFlasher
the process succeeds everytime but and Stuck at
MIX(logo)
...
powered by
android
Now I'm New with MIX but I've been flashing ROMS since days of Moto RAZR L7 point being I dont think a boot should take that long
What actually happens is on MIX logo screen dims and brightens and its loading & loading then for an instance I see MI logo with white navigation strip then back to MIX logo like if it was optimizing APPS or smth for First boot can anyone kindly help me with what I've been doing wrong or what would be a proper safer method
Thanks
[SOLVED] finally again flashed twrp then flashed .ZIP stock FW via TWRP
[SOLVED]
So, I have a xiaomi mi 8 and recently I was tryin to install a custom rom(now I understand that I should make a full wipe, but my problem is not there). I tried to install miui.eu pie version to update it to miui.eu 11 but I got a strange brick. The phone shows only boot logo, sometimes it reboots and shows me that logo again. But I cant enter recovery or fastboot. I dont know what to do.
So the solution is edl flash, if it's ARB, THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION
If you can't put it on recovery or fastboot then you'll have to try with edl mode, the problem is that you have to take it apart, tho I would try again fastboot and recovery a few times
The devices on boot shows Unlocked sign on the bottom of the screen? If it is boot on twrp recovery and go to Wipe Button and format data, type yes and then press enter, after that reboot to recovery and then reflash miui 11 rom and wipe data, dalvik, cache, then reboot your device and will boot to miui without any problem, i had the same problem on my mi 8 with android q miui 11 rom!
flash china rom using miflash tool, instal twrp, format data if internal shows as 0mb,direct install eu rom...
no need to wipe anything
Solved
So, the problem was the ARB system, I just found a guy that has an authorized xiaomi account and flashed via edl. There wasn't any other solution, thank you guys, this website is really user-friendly. Now I want a cool android q rom, but not sure about aosp projects(pixelexp, havoc(i get error 7, don't know why), maybe ressurection remix) or miui(such as eu, miroom, maybe masik(don't know alot about this one). I don't know(((. Anyway, thank you guys one more time))))))
Use the official and latest twrp recovery!
help i get this brick.. i just stuck On Mi logo without Unlock Text. sometime srestart but still stuck in Mi Logo Without Unlock Text. cant go to fastboot or twrp. please help me
Hi,
I have Carbon ROM with Android 10,
I wanted to flash Bliss ROM, and it says that I need a rooted device,
So I've downloaded Magisk and follow the instruction, created a boot.img and flashed it in fastboot, then I did the same only with twrp recovery & Magisk, flashed it and now it is wiered and I'm not sure what is the problem,
I have fastboot BUT when I try to perform any command, it shutsdown and preety useless, I've tried from PC, if I try from MAC, I can boot into twrp but every operation is causing the tablet to reboot.. So I can't even flash a stock ROM,
In PC, the recognized Android device (When in fastboot mode) I update it's driver to Android bootloader device
How can I solve it?
Thanks !!!
So i installed/flashed evolution x rom OSS vendor using orangefox (unchecked the unmount system thingy)without any error
my phone is decrypted so first thing i did is
wipe the cache,data,system,vendor,dalvik/art cache then
Add the evo x rom to queue then next is the DFE.zip then after succesfully flashed i reboot to system it worked and played for hours then I was planning to install magisk and pressed the reboot to recovery then the problem begun always stuck at fastboot wont boot to recovery cant even shutdown the phone always starts at fastboot.
whats the problem? or did I do anything wrong??
right now im using stock rom again but i want to use custom rom.
Mi 9t pro global latest update.
I had the same problem with other ROM. Even after flashing recovery once again my phone couldn't exit fastboot. The cause could be a damaged boot partition, but I'm not 100% certain.

flashed the latest fastboot version from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphael to bring the phone back to life.
same problem? repeat after me:
choose a fastboot version, click download and then scroll down to the fastboot version (.tgz file type, don't get confused as the first download button is recovery version again...). extract and copy to minimal adb & fastboot. run "flash_all.bat".
phone starts with miui
softbrick, soft brick mi9 t pro, fastboot, flash stock rom, bootloop fastboot, Redmi K20 Pro, Raphael
still wondering what caused that bootloop...
All,
I'm attempting to figure out whether something in my flashing process broke down for one Zenfone 8 in particular that results in an unusable LineageOS 18.1 OS. This one particular phone was in a fastboot cycle that would not load the LineageOS Recovery mode or OS until I flashed the `dtbo.img` file. That fixed the fastboot and I was able to then sideload the OS.
However, the OS comes up with a white screen and extreme unresponsiveness. It's unusable. Other phones whereby I followed the same process (but did NOT need to flash `dtbo.img`) are working just fine.
I've run through the flashing process multiple times on the problem phone w/ no luck. Any thoughts appreciated. Should I get the phone back to complete stock and try again?
Flashing Process
-------------------------------
1. Unlock tool APK, unlock, etc.
2. fastboot flash vendor_boot sake_vendor_boot.img
3. fastboot flash boot recovery.img
a. When in fastboot cycle, I then flash `dtbo.img`, but I've only done this on the problematic phone
4. Factory reset
5. Restart, Recovery Mode, Update via ADB
6. adb sideload lineage.zip

HI
Lineage OS 18.x is based on Android 11 as far as I know so I suggest to install the original ASUS Android 11 raw image and then reinstall the LineageOS using the install instructions from LineageOS.
The raw image for Android 11 on the ASUS Zenfone 8 is available on this Website:
https://www.asus.com/Content/Android-12-Beta/
in the section
How to opt-out and revert back to Android 11
at the end of the page
That's how I reinstall my development Zenfone 8 from 12 to 11 or vice versa.
regards
Bernd
Just wanted to thank you for the information you posted; the re-flash to stock download worked perfectly for what I needed.
