I have an xperia z1. had it for like 3 months and yesterday all of a sudden the battery started showing like 50 % 4% 90% random numbers. Then it got stuck on 50% and i couldnt charge it. I left it all night the battery was dead. I meassured it and it was 2.78 Volt. I tried to charge it from the dock port of the Z1 . I meassured the voltave coming to the battery when the charger was connected and it is 1.7V . Tried with many charges the voltage doesnt change. What is the faulty part here ? I tried volume up + power button, it vibrates 3 times but still black screen. My status LED is dead so i cant say if it is chargin or not. Also if i press the power button it vibrates 1 time but doesnt power up. What could it be ?
Thank you all
I charged the battery outside of the phone and its working perfectly. Now i know the phone aint charging the battery. Why is it so low on voltage ? Neither usb or dock do charge it normally ? What is it ?
i think charging electronic is broken. maybe it got wet inside somehow or someone has connected the magnet charge cable wrong and damaged it
Battery level change randomly because the batteri cable is loose.. Or u need to change the battery as if u let it be like that it may cause other hardware problem

It is sealed and im very carefull with it. Both charging ports do not work. ITs 0.62V and its too low to charge it. Charging electronic u mean the IC chip ?

I cant find a battery to test it if its the battery fault. But i dont think its the battery cuz if i charge it the phone boots up normally. The problem is that the % is stuck at 50 and does not show charging when i plug it in.

Im saying this because mine and one of our TeamDevElite already experience this issue a few months ago... When we moving the cable the battery level change.. Until spot to one place that it become normal..

could be just the "cabel" (in german its flexband) from charger slot to battery. this is sensitiv to liquids.
but it could be the battery itself. got the same problem while ago with my own Z1, on restard it dropped from 80% to 14% and charging doesnt rly helped.
Im searching for a new battery . Kinda hard to find here in Albania. i will reply here with the solution in case i find any. Thank you guys

I am currently having problems with my X1 powering on.
I understand there has been a post on the forums regarding this subject I have read through it the symptoms of my phone are similar but I wanted to make sure.
The problem I have is 2 days ago my phone was low on batt so I plugged it into the charger [MBW bluetooth watch wall mount to USB]. Left it there and the next day I noticed the battery is completely drained. Try to power it on and red lights go on at the power button.
I've looked up on how to fix the problems followed the procedures and still no luck. Now the thing that is slightly different with my phone is sometimes the red lights are on at the power switch... but sometimes the red lights blink on the phones side LED's I understand the side LED's also blink to show low battery / errors.... so thats the part which is making me worry.
I was wondering if anyone had any insight to the problem or maybe possible solutions?
Thank you all for spending the time to read this.
did you leave the batt really low? and what methods have you tried so far?
because what happened is that you probably unbalanced your battery (if I'm understanding correctly). I've had a similar problem as well with my previous x1.
just wondering though, you didn't do any mods to your ROM did you? if you didn't. you may be able to send the phone back to sony ericsson (if it's under warrenty) to replace it to get a new one.
just as a suggestion if you end up getting a new x1 or just a new battery that works. don't leave it until it's almost out to charge it. charge it maybe once a day or every other day (ensuring that your battery wont' die on you again).

Clean conductors
Charge battery in wall mount .... pull out the battery place it back in charge again and hope it works [apparently some ppl pulled it off] tried for 2 days.
Soft reset switch

Yup it was one of the TouchFlo ROMs
I've ordered another battery but until then I'm still open to opinions on solutions.
Also does it mean anything if it randomly switchs from a red light on the power button to the LED on the sides flashing red.

Another thing you can try is one of the cheap $2 USB Pocket Universal Li-Ion Chargers - they aren't as sensitive as the X1 itself is, and since you can take the battery out of the X1 for charging it's a safer way to charge a problem battery like this one seems to be at the moment. If you have a spare battery anyway, then you'd want an external charger anyway to charge it without having to take off the case and change batteries every time. Also since it's USB it is low voltage and low amperage.
I had the same problem with the Red light below the button being on - and leaving the battery in one of these chargers for about 10 minutes had it charged enough that it worked with no problems again when I put it back in my X1 and I've been using the same battery ever since without a problem (for about a month now).
Hope that helps,
Peter
P.S. The "MBW bluetooth watch wall mount to USB charger" you were using might not have a high enough amperage for the X1 to charge well and that might be part of the problem. The X1's original USB charger is 700 mA, which is beyond the spec of the average USB wall plug (some of which are as low as 150-300 mA). Not getting enough amps at the proper voltage can cause the sorts of problems you are reporting. Using the actual X1 charger might help as well - though I still recommend the cheap $2 Universal USB Li-Ion chargers for emergencies.
I have a Problem with my Kaiser:
When i Plug my phone to power, it charge the battery, but not enough to bring the battery up... so also with charger the battery goes low.
when i charge the battery or an other one in a other phone it works... then i can put the battery back in the phone, but it still doesent charge my battery.
It's not a Problem of the battery! its a problem of the phone... i think hardware but i'm not shure.
Orange led is on.
sync is possible
i tried different images / hardreset (i think it's not software)
Can anybody help?

Does your phone got any water damage or exposed to water?
R u using the propper charger? or a different one eg. Motorola?
wather
i think it had... because the sticker inside is red....
i opened the phone but everything looks very clean.
i use the original charger!
When i don't charge the battery, the phone uses normal battery power and worke fine...
the only special thing is, i can't turn off the phone. it restarts
only if i plug the poweradapter i can shutdown the phone...
Ok basically I had my first battery drained completely (my phone was around 1 year ++).
I've been experiencing battery drains on my phone such that it is discharging faster than it chargers and I also realized that I'm unable to connect to the PC/ unable to mount SD card.
Knowing that my problem exists, I went on to a repair shop and they replaced my port for $S90 SGD. After replacing my port, I was happy that my phone can finally be connected to my PC without any problems..
Until one day, I realized my phone was discharging faster and soon it reaches 0% on my screen. I quickly plugged in the AC wall adapter and continuing using (by right it shouldn't go flat). To my surprise it went flat and I couldn't charge my battery at all, I was having the Orange LED light.
So I went to the repair shop again and they sort of bumped my battery up and charged my phone. Seeing that my battery discharges faster than it charges, they told me they my battery is damaged and so I went on to get a new battery...
New battery came, I plugged in, turned my phone on successfully without any problems. Battery was at 65%. I left it few hours to charge and WTF my battery turns to 19% and eventually flatten out again .
Now here's the thing.
My 1st battery, (Totally unable to charge, No blinking orange LED)
My 2nd battery, when I leave it for a few hours (I plugged it in and there's orange LED), and soon there's not even an orange LED light anymore.
I really do not know what the hell is wrong with my phone. I'm so disappointed. I just thought that it might not be my battery's problem because a brand new battery shouldn't have any problems..
Really need some advice noww :crying:
Gonna cry. Wth is wrong with my phone?!

You might have apps that are drawing too much current, a charger that's not supplying enough or is not recognized as ac charging.
Install current widget or something similar to see both how fast your battery is draining and how much current the charger is supplying.

My old Inc S did the same thing as what your describing, and the charger port was faulty. I had to wiggle the cord into the perfect position to get it to charge, and even then it only actually charged half the time. Got it replaced by bell.
When you plug your charger cord in, does it wiggle a lot to the left or right? As in more that it normally should?

The problem is I can't even turn on my phone at all to install any apps because my battery is completely drained. I just don't get it how come my phone drains the battery faster than it charges. Perhaps it's my charger not supplying enough power .
It's my second battery already and I'm now sure that it is not a battery problem.
Should I change an adapter (like maybe the iPhone adapter head) and use my usb cable to charge my phone. Will it provide more current

Well, I am not sure whether if it was charging port that was fault. It indeed charged when I tried my 2nd battery when it first came it had 65%. I went on to charge it and the percentage drops when it was charging (when the phone is off) . Perhaps it's not the apps that are draining all the current.
My phone is losing current... My 2nd battery is also completely drained off after sometime and I'm unable to on my phone. Irritating max.
My charging port just got replaced because I cannot mount my SD to the computer and I had it replaced and I was able to connect to the computer and LED indicates it charges.
What could be the other reasons that my phone is losing current? I'm not sure about hardware parts, but maybe perhaps it's the charging gland or whatever things inside the phone that is damaged?
Leave charger plugged in while light flashing. If the light goes off unplug and plug again. You might need to do a few times but the orange light should stay on eventually. Let it charge a while before switching back on. Good luck.
my daily phone is out of commission and looking to use my old z3compact for a few days. I tried to charge it and after a few hours its at 1%. It did boot up and says low battery 1% while plugged in. Is the battery dead? Not sure how old the software on it is, maybe software issue?
If so, can I use while plugged in or will that cause it to shutdown?

1.try with other usb and other charger. (akso magnetic if u have)
2.go to a service-gsm or send it to repair to sony(if u still have guaranty)
Problem can be from device connector charging, usb cable, charger, battery, or something from motherboard...
try to charge (leave it also if doesnt charge) for 10-15 minutes...if doesnt work, try to do what i said up
Hi, I have huge problem with my mi11 ultra. After It run out of battery, ( I left it on for few days with 20% left) I can't turn it on, when I plug in my charger (Xiaomi 65w fast charger) it shows mi logo for few sec and then it turns off after showing battery icon. I've tried to leave it charging for an hour, it didn't help. I've left it connected to computer, charging overnight, it didn't help as well so now I'm stuck what to do?
Replace the battery. If left discharged and it self discharges past a preset voltage limit, the onboard battery controller in the battery pack will permanently shut it down. Normally that takes a few weeks to 2 months to happen if run to it auto shutdown at 5%. High temperatures or a degraded or failed Li can accelerate that time to hours, days perhaps. Any battery swelling is a failure, replace asap.
The battery may have just fail outright.
If the battery is good, the C port board, then the mobo are the next suspects barring a loose connector being the cause.
But everything worked fine before, I was able to charge my phone normally every day, and it held charge fine, you want to tell me that it broke (battery, mobo or whatever) just because it ran out of juice?

Li's can fail at any time, just like that.
May be a loose connection.
Fully discharging an Li adds additional stress especially when charging. They prefer frequent mud range power cycling. Regardless the battery be my first suspect...
Eh ****. Do you know any places that can fix that issue in US?

Call around and feel out the local shops. Ideally you want someone that has works with them.
It may not be that bad...
Ha, I've managed to charge my battery with wireless charger and now wired works!! My phone is saved !!

Yay!
Maybe the C port pcb failed or the contacts are dirty. Inspect and carefully clean the port with old toothbrush, gently.
You can use a small amount of anhydrous isopropyl alcohol... don't go nuts.
My Mi 11 U just turned off, was around 58% battery. Almost 2hrs without sign of life... it's just dead LOL
i was using and just put on the table, and after 1 min i took in my hands and didnĀ“t woke up anymore! Whata mess!
