Anyone know of a ROM that works with the Amazon Fire TV stick's miracast option?
I have the white Samsung mhl 2.0 dongle that I used with my S5 and Note 4.
The S6 family didn't support mhl, and wanted to know if the note 5 does.
Thank you.
At the risk of sounding stupid....What is MHL??

MHL cables (dongles) are used to connect the phone direct via cable to an HDMI TV, basically screen mirroring minus the lag from chromcast type wireless devices.
all of Samsungs phones until the S6 used MHL, but then they stopped...so I was wondering if theres any official document showing if the Note will have it.
They stopped? Wth?

The note 5 does not support mhl. You cannot connect it to the tv with a wired connection.
You can connect your phone directly to your computer for free and watch videos see pi

So I'm interested in VR. Looks like the inexpensive headset from Samsung ($99) doesn't support the note 4 without physically modifying the unit for the note 4 to fit? I'm going by what I've read and seen on YouTube as I have not tried for myself.
While searching around, I've found several generic VR headset that come with a Bluetooth remote controller for about $20.
My question is for those familiar with VR. Seems to me like when you dock your note 4 in a Samsung VR headset via USB it put the phone in a VR mode where you can launch and control games, videos, etc...
So can you do the same with one of these generic headset that do not have a usb docking port?
Obviously I'm sure you could play VR youtube videos, but what about the occulus gallery? The VR specific games? Can you force the note 4 into whatever VR mode the Samsung branded headset initializes (by usb docking) without it being usb docked?
Hoping someone who has used VR on the note 4 will chime in with some advice.
Many thanks in advance.
I'm curious to this too.
I bought a Samsung branded gear VR, the consumer edition ($99 one) on Craigslist and cut it to fit my note 4. All the controls work by my rom isn't loading the oculus gear VR software, so I've been using it with google cardboard stuff. Youtube videos, cardboard games and stuff. It works fine as a fancy cardboard. Just thought I'd let that be known.
Hi to all. Just upgraded to Mi Note 10 from old Mi4.
I downloaded Fortnite but it's real hard to use with touch. I'm searching about a compatible controller but i''m a bit confused.
I have a Nintendo Switch too.. so i'm searching a solution that work in both scenario.
After too many test these are results:
- i connected Nintendo Joy-Con using Mi note 10 Bluetooth. Both devices pair without any problem. However.. no response in the game. Randomly something happen clicking all button. Unusable.
- i bought a Maegoo Controller on Amazon. It work OK with Nintendo Switch but with Mi Note 10 i can only pair but ...again ... no response. Downloaded some Gamepad test app on playstore... nothing to do.
- Found on the web some info about Nintendo PRO Controller. It seems that supported from Android 10. I want to know if anyone have tested it with Mi note 10. However i read that Android10 just now released so... if really support Controller PRO... would be a perfect solution for me.
At the end... Epic FAQ says:
Yes. On Android, we support most Bluetooth controller adapters, such as:
Steelseries Stratus XL
Gamevice
Sony DualShock 4 Wireless Controller (Android OS 10 or newer)
Xbox Wireless Controller
Razer Raiju Mobile
Razer Junglecat
Moto Gamepad
These are expensive gamepad... and not seems to work with my Nintendo switch
