Hi! I've installed onto my new laptop (i7 + Win7-64) the UnitedMobileDriver downloaded from B2CApp.
After some time, my phone become "strange" when attached to my PC via USB.
Now i could only see the phone as "Unknown device" under USB, and I can see both SD as disks.
I tried to uninstall, reinstall, change version of UnitedMobileDriver, uninstalled the "Unknown device", cleaning TEMP dir and registry with Ccleaner, but nothing worked.
So i can't use PCSuite or FW upgrade anymore with my new PC.
It seems there is a remaining of the previous driver, so when I reinstall it the system won't recognize the P990 properly.
Otherwise, if i'll attach the same P990 with the same cable to my old laptop (core2 + Win7-32), my phone is promptly recognized: in fact, I had to use my old laptop to make the FW upgrade.
Some of you has some ideas or hints to clean totally the OS from remainings of the previous installation of the UnitedMobileDriver, to have a "virgin" system for a new installation?
Thank you all in advance for every kind of help you could give me.
Alex
Hello
I have an honor 4c. I have installed HiSuite. The device is recognized by computer. But the device either is absent from My Computer or is present but when I click on it I receive the message "There is no disk in the drive".
How can this problem be solved?

I solved the problem the following way:
I changed the usb cable, and a page appeared on the phone's screen. Its title was Methods of Connecting USB. Its options was: MTP, HiSuite, Only Charge. By default, it was on "Only Charge". I changed it to "MTP". It opened on the PC and the problem was solved.
using another usb cable may solve ur problem

May be a USB cable fault
After install Hisuite on my laptop then install hisuite on P9+. I can manage P9+ via Hisuite on my laptop.
But when go to calendar sync menu, Hisuite can show the number of my outlook calendar correctly. However, when click sync
It will stuck with message "compare data ......". I leave it for 5 minutes and the hisuite closed itself with some error message on the windows screen.
Does anyone has the same problem?
Note : Windows 7, Outlook 2013

Hi suite works all annoyingly well for me. Dunno what's wrong on your end, buddy.
Annoyingly, because it always pings my desktop and opens whenever I connect to my PC.

Turn off USB debugging.
Completely delete all drivers whilst not connected. In Windows click options show all devices, including hidden.
Install hisuite.
Next connect the phone then let it install.
Then disconnect and turn on USB debugging.
Let it install that too.
Can you see the device?
PS: there's only so many ways it can connect.
Nuking the driver then reconnecting afresh is the best way.
WORKED:
uninstall all of hisuite components with revo uninstaller
restart pc
connect phone via usb
turn on debugging
then open hisuite installer that shows as virtual CD in my computer
install it, and open
now, on phone ALLOW HDB
go to developer options, and as USB CONNECTION TYPE choose charging
and allow your PC to use phone
thats it

### The only way it worked for me was after being connected to the PC and have opened the HiSuite THEN GO to the last step and it looks is the only way it changes for charging only. If you don't have either the PC connected and on the HiSuite program, it doesn't change at all. Check bellow on the ###.:good:
Well it worked for me any way Thank's hexen88

Also check your cable, some cables only allow charge only.

It must of been a bug, once i updated to 9.0 it now connects fine and has done since updating.
If it still helps i think i got it.
Use the original huawei charging cable you got with the phone.
I tried it all.. tethering, debugging, hisuite etc.. but nothing worked
1. step Install HiSuite on computer,
2. step plug in your phone with original cable,
3. step HiSuite on computer will run by itself,
4. step select transfer files on your phone,
5. step computer will ask you if you all it to install HiSuite on your phone and click ok,
6. step on your phone pop up will show to install HiSuite on Huawei.
Maybe also go to settings - connections - usb thetering (if needed) and thick it.
Hope it helps, it did for me - but barley lost my mind...
Good luck,
Toni
I have Redmi S9 with broken screen. Is it possible to transfer my files to PC? That phone also has PIN lock screen.
If the USB debugging on your phone is opened, and your phone can be detected by the computer via USB cable, you can transfer files to PC easily. Usually, you can do that via Copy & Paste. Or you can also ask for help from Xiaomi data manager tool like Coolmuster Android Backup Manager, etc. Its free backup function can help you do that easily. It also support WiFi connect. You need to make sure your phone and the computer are in the same network. Hope this will be your help.
