Can OnePlus 3 custom Roms be used with OnePlus 3T ?

Recently bought OnePlus 3t , I've a doubt can we flash OnePlus 3 custom Roms with OnePlus 3t as both don't defer much in specs?

Not yet, the GPU firmware is different between Snapdragon 820 and 821 so they are not cross compatible.
The only unified rom yet build is the one build by Sultanxda
Once Nougat is released for 3T the ROMs should be unified hopefully
Till then you can try Sultan's rom or RR available on the rom section for 3T

There's a few 3T specific ones available now. ResurrectionRemix is fantastic. Hoping for people starting to unify the ROM's between 3 and 3t.

well, i haven't made any threads in the 3t forum for tesla, validus, tipsy, Slim because i am still looking if i want to go unified or not.
If i go unified, the existing op3 threads will do.

Purchasing Mi 5 for Custom Roms?

Hi all,
I really like the look of the Mi 5, but have been reading of various bugs and poor battery life on custom roms. Just wondering what the consensus is on buying this phone with the explicit purpose of flashing it over to Lineage or and AOSP based rom. Cheers

Even though its a great device, custom rom support for mi5 is really poor. Buy nexus/ pixel or oneplus 3 since they got great custom rom support.

Marshmallow ROMs are absolutely fantastic and bug free. It's the nougat ROMs that are buggy.
I'd say buy it and manage on marshmallow until nougat gets better.

I must say that even the latest unofficial LineageOS 14.1 build is more stable than MIUI8 ever was for me (Yes, I'm aware that MIUI8 isn't stable either, but it has a few months head start in beta). But yes, if LTE B20 isn't a requirement (no info on when/if that'll be cracked), then absolutely.

LineageOS on my mi5 is almost as good as on my Nexus 5.

RR is an amazing ROM for the Mi5. At the moment I started using it, I was amazed. It has great performance and tons of custom features.

Yep is no need to install cm[lienageOS] becouse when you buy Xiaomi, you do it for miui os. Which is verry modified system with a lot of ability and funcionality.

Using this topic as an oportunity to ask to those who uses Custon ROMs is any camera that can be compare to MIUI official camera app? SnappCamera perhaps?

I felt no real difference between MI an the most recent LineageOSbuild. I know it's still inofficial, but I use it perfectly fine as a daily driver. Nothing to complain at all.

Are there any non AOSP custom Roms?

Hello I'm pretty happy with MIUI but want to try something new, is there anything like Funtouch,coloros , emui or Flyme for the Mi5?I couldn't really find anything

what's the best rom for stock android?
i dont need other features since this phone only for calling, texting and browsing only.
i came from nexus family, i really bother with MIUI.

try AOSPA, no much feature but great performance

Paranoid Android is a pretty good one.

Lineage OS if you are looking for good stability/performance balance.
Resurrection remix if you want to customize every bit of your phone.

Aex had very bad battery on latest builds.

maybe i will try AEX or Lineage.

Slim rom if you want exact stock.... Lineage if you want some features... AOSPA if you want some more... AICP if you want some more... AEX if you want almost everything customized and Resurrection Remix if you want everything customized... I only recommend these roms as they are official and provide constant updates....

If somebody know when, or if never wont have a ressurection remix rom or lineage rom free of bugs(OFICIAL)
I know that we have some roms but unnoficial and with many bugs, apreciate too much his work but...
1 year since phone release and no have a stable oficial free of bugs rom like lineage or resurection

Without source code, it's difficult, sometimes impossible to make any kind of stable custom ROM. The source code was released just a little while ago and the development went up a little bit. Nobody can tell you will be there or not a stable RR or LOS.

its funny how people dont seem to be able to keep track of time
mi max 2 was released in june/july last year, so its been out for 8-9 months now. so still several months to go until a full year...
the new LOS 14.1 version is already very close to bugfree, only LED blinking and SELinux state are missing.
Also, XenonHD dev said he will publish a new build very soon, with working FPS and most current bugs fixed.
So these two roms are already VERY close to official
