why just curious your reasoning behind this?
is it for the gsm unlock?
i doubt it is
i could be wrong but i dont think u can
if for unlock theyre are a few people on sprint forum that do unlocks
i paid 30 bucks for idone apps to unlock mine guys are straight up profesionals and instant unlock and i got the note7 ported firmware on mine only way u know mines a sprint note 5 is the glass on the back of the device my model num is lol sorry it was somthing else one of the note 7s but i did a build prop and edited it back to 920p

yh its possible i guess

Yes it is. It cost 50 pounds.
This is possible. I am a n920p user with 4G network in UK and changed model number to n920C. Unlocked hotspot, removed sprint activation etc.

Hi
I want the n920p convert n920c Someone has this file

Replace both the mobo and flex board (for audio/usb) and you'll have a 920c. But doing this would require putting a new display on, as the capactive touch buttons would get ruined.

T-Mobile sent me a 910c?

So I received a warranty replacement today has a weird sticker in place of where the normal Samsung serial number sticker would ? On the phone it says the model is the 910t but when I check on imei info says the phone is a 910c? Wtf is going on? I live in the USA and am wondering what to believe the phone info or imei website? Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Any info would be great?
I know of them shipping out t3 models which are loaded with the crappy lollipop 5.1
The c model is an international unlocked model I think.
Powered by: Octa Core Exynos
Yea I mean the phone runs way better than my 910t so no complaints from me and yes the 910c model is international but why would T-Mobile send me a international phone when I live in Baltimore MD and have never left the USA lol just thought it was kinda odd
Weirdest thing is all the CPU info apps and my ROM kernel auditor says its a 910t but when checking the imei its coming back 910c very odd to me
Very strange anyone seen anything like this ?
You IMEI checker is wrong. I just checked my 910t and it said the imei was a 910c. It probably uses that for all 910 varieties
Yea I thought something was funny thanks a lot man smfh lol

N910A motherboard in N910T frame?

If I have a repair guy put an AT&T MoBo in my T-Mobile (N910T) phone (mine died), will I still have wifi calling, etc., after loading MM for T-Mobile?
I'm thinking no, but he asked if it would be OK.
Other downfalls? Would I even be able to Odin MM for TMO?

the motherboard is still ATT not Tmobile, I don't think the firmware will flash since the main board is not N910T, u will need to flash the N910A
I don't think it will work, but that is just me... I'm a computer tech...

I tend to agree. I didn't know if Wifi Calling is a part of the MoBo, or another chip elsewhere. I know that I could get the phone to work on the TMO network, but that alone is not good enough.
At any rate, I'll just tell him NO.
Thanks for the reply!
ATT still isn't rooted or bootloader unlocked. You'd be stuck on lollipop, since att still hasn't released marshmallow. I'm an ATT guy that put a Tmo motherboard in my phone so I could be unlocked, rooted, and flash roms...

HEY! I am trying to do the same thing! Are the two motherboards identical? Or are there some things to look out for?
I would appreciate knowing before I buy an N910T motherboard to put in my at&t note 4

As long as it's a 910t, it should be fine. I don't know about the t3 or the w, so do some reading. It's been awhile now, and I took a leap of faith before I did mine, so I can at least confirm the 910T motherboard will work.

I have Sprint. Which Note 8 to buy? Root. Please Help!

Hello,
Which Note 8 should I buy?
International Version
Unlocked Version
Sprint Version
I heard the processor for the International Version is best I think it stats with an E. Should I get that?
I would like to root.
Does it matter or should I just order one directly from Sprint?
Will this work with Sprint?
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Factory Unlocked Phone - 6.3" Screen - 64GB - Midnight Black (U.S. Warranty)
This one from Amazon?
Should I buy that one above from Amazon or buy it directly from Sprint?
Can I root both of them?
I would like to order one today, I just don't know if I should order from Sprint or Amazon.
P.S.
Also if this is not possible should I get a S8 or S8 Plus? However, reading over on their threads doesn't look like root is possible really there either, hit or miss. Is that true? Which S8 I should get? International or US?
I mainly want apps like:
Ad Block
YouTube Background Player
YouTube Ad Block
ETC...
Please Advise.
you said sprint, sprint is cmda... meaning, exynos WILL NOT WORK. no international phone, you must buy snapdragon. now you have two choices carrier locked, and carrier unlocked. both have a locked boot loader and are not currently capable of root. if you purchase the phone out right it does not really matter which version you get. if you buy sprint locked after 50 days on their network they will carrier unlock the phone. the only true difference is carrier bloatware/ software which I'm hearing can be flashed using odin

Thank you, that is what I need to know. Now what about getting a S8 or S8 Plus instead? Are those rootable? I mean does it even matter any more? The only thing I really want root for is Youtube Ad Block, but what the crap, mine as well just pay 10 bucks a month and get Youtube Red and allow my phone to update it self all the time.

What about S8 or S8 Plus? Root those or are people still having trouble? I think Samsung has finally figured out how to make it really difficult. Seems like it is not even worth it anymore.

from what I hear it is possible to root the s8, but it limits your max battery charge to 80%? kinda a **** trade off if you ask me.
so I'm like you I thought I must have root, my last android was a Nexus with a completely unlocked boot loader and I flashed custom roms when I tired of my current rom. that was four years ago and I've been jailbroke iOS since. do you still need root?
most people will say no. if they say absolutely the main arguments I've heard are for xposed(which doesn't even work on android 7) and viper4android (or some similar name, a sound tweak I think) besides those two, removing bloatware, and hosts file ad blocking.
my personal experience: I will be giving up an unlocked boot loader by purchasing the note 8. this mean no custom roms. I haven't given up hope for a future possible root method, but I am willing to accept that it may never come or when it does we can only charge to 80% or something else ridiculous. I don't need root, I would like it, but I will compromise.
tldr;probably not, especially if you are willing to sub to YouTube red for 10$ a month.

The issue is that the Snapdragons have locked bootloaders but you need a SD version to use the Sprint network. It doesn't matter if you buy a Note 8 or an S8, the issue with the locked bootloader is the same.
For me personally, I need root because a lot of the apps I have use root. If you only wanted to block ads on YouTube, it's probably unnecessary and far more hassle than it's worth.

Last question. I saw on another thread that this ... Is this true? Should I buy one that is unlocked from Amazon or the Samsung site and get hotspot or can I get hotspot on the Sprint one or do I need to search for the perfect app to do it? Which would be easier?
Unlocked version:
Hotspot - Awesome
Download Booster - Awesome
No Bloat - Awesome
Wi-Fi Calling - working awesomely
Sprint Version:
LTE Calling - I might miss, might be worth flashing Sprint mod when available...
Please Advise.

Sorry, I can't provide any guidance in this area. I'm in Australia and don't have experience with the inclusions/exclusions on specific American networks such as Sprint. I do know they use CDMA technology, which the Exynos SoC doesn't support.
Hopefully, one of the other enlightened souls on this forum can help you with this question.

The Sprint Version will cut out the download booster and hot spot unless your plan includes it but include calling plus features which include their version of the Wi-Fi Calling and LTE Calling for surfing over calls....but we already have that with Wi-Fi calling...Sprint also has Bloat software such as VVM but I install Google Voice for voicmail...it is up to you...at this point I have found no function lost.
Oops...I forgot to mention that they may update more frequently or sooner

When I called my wife on Wi-Fi Calling i was able to surf the web as well...I'll double check tomorrow when she is awake though
I have the unlocked version arriving soon and I will be using it with sprint. (With the free 1 year promo)
AFIK only the sprint and unlocked versions are whitelisted to work on sprint. Any other snapdragon models you will need to request a manual request to add your IMEI to the sprint database.
And I believe the Exynos models isn't compatible with CDMA at all, something with licensing or patent issues with Qualcomm.

Are you serious. I will be giving up call over data? WHY? Is this like that for Verizon and AT&T? Have they all lost call over data or do they just not want you to be able to do it?
Should I keep my Note 3 for that very reason?
Does any phone like the S8 or S8 Plus have call over data?

Suggest a Worthy Replacement for my Note 9

I should have foreseen this, but I'm tired of being stuck on a locked bootloader. I want to change devices once again.
Verizon is my carrier. I've got the unlocked 128GB Snapdragon Note 9 (960U1). I can probably sell it for ~$500.
Is there anything with comparable specs that I could pick up for around $500? I would prefer something with a bootloader that can be unlocked. Thanks!
Why do you want to root it?
I just ordered a OnePlus 7 Pro with 12gb ram to replace my note 9

When buying an unlocked LG v40, does sprint or AT&T unlocked matter?

Does it matter with whom the carrier is from?
can they be flashed or rooted?
Currently there's a procedure to unlock boot loader for all models *except* t mobile. The procedure isn't simple though. Look in rom/devs sub forum.

That I don't know. I got a Sprint model and it seems to work fine with att, though I've been stuck at home like everybody else so I haven't really tested the network. The Sprint model is on Android 9. I don't know what the situation is on att.
Sprint does load the phone with a bunch of bloat and spam ware, most of which you can disable. I imagine att does the same. I'd just buy what is available at lowest price.

from what I was told you could just flash the firmware on it to the US unlocked and that would allow more band usage?
