So I received a warranty replacement today has a weird sticker in place of where the normal Samsung serial number sticker would ? On the phone it says the model is the 910t but when I check on imei info says the phone is a 910c? Wtf is going on? I live in the USA and am wondering what to believe the phone info or imei website? Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Any info would be great?
I know of them shipping out t3 models which are loaded with the crappy lollipop 5.1
The c model is an international unlocked model I think.
Powered by: Octa Core Exynos
Yea I mean the phone runs way better than my 910t so no complaints from me and yes the 910c model is international but why would T-Mobile send me a international phone when I live in Baltimore MD and have never left the USA lol just thought it was kinda odd
Weirdest thing is all the CPU info apps and my ROM kernel auditor says its a 910t but when checking the imei its coming back 910c very odd to me
Very strange anyone seen anything like this ?
You IMEI checker is wrong. I just checked my 910t and it said the imei was a 910c. It probably uses that for all 910 varieties
Yea I thought something was funny thanks a lot man smfh lol

Okay, I ordered me one from Amazon! Did have the AT&T Version. Its apparently going to be the German Version. Would I have any Issues with that being that im in the US?
None. I too have the German version and I use AT&T. Everything works nicely!
I've had the German version since mid December, on at&t, no issues at all.

Look at About Phone and see what model number it is.
But, it will work on ATT, you just will need APNs, which you can find. Or if you are on ICS, you might not need to put them in, because I didn't. ICS auto-populates APNs.

Yea I know what, What APN do you all use? the Wap.cingular or the HSPA+ one? Cause When I had my International One x, data was HORRIBLE using the wap.cingular one, and once I put in the HSPA+ one it was normal like my att note.
Also does it matter where it comes from? like flaws or anything ? Sorry I`m OCD haha
My baseband is N7000UBKK1 Wheres it from?

My APN is on wap.cingular right now. That is the one that is auto-populating and I haven't changed it. It's not terrible. ATT sucks, so it is hard to tell. Lol.
What HSPA+ APN are you talking about? PTA one is for LTE and since we don't have LTE that wouldn't do any good.

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
AFAIK its UBKK1 its from Brazil. I got the same when I bought mine.
Regards from Venezuela.
Basebands/modems can be changed so don't get too caught up with that. You have to try a modem that fits best for you and your carrier. I am on LP6 now, but I have tried a lot.

Is there a certain reason why you US guys buy the german Notes?
In my case I don't even live in the US, bought my Note on Amazon, seller didn't specify country of origen for the device nor did I ask, when I received my device started looking around and found out that acording with the device's firmware it came from Brazil.

Bought mine on eBay instead of buying from ATT with a contract.
Also, this note has a better processor than the ATT version.
Amazon seems to be selling them the ones from brazil. And fsgtrading is selling ones for germany. I got my note brand new for 440 brand new with over night.

I think mine is the germany one, but I'm not 100% sure and there is no way to tell right now since I'm on a cm9 build and have done too much to it. The N7000 came from certain countries and then the other international model came from like china, I think. And then of course, att model is US.
Hi,
If I purchase a Note 4 that is locked to EE network UK, does anyone know if it's possible to make the phone like a factory unlocked version direct from Samsung?
Or can I only use specific EE firmware on it?
Sorry, I don't really know much when it comes to UK network phones.
Would appreciate any help, thanks!
Hi. If you purchase the phone through carphone warehouse the handset will not be locked.

You can flash any software for your variant on it. I think ee is the 910f so any rom from any carrier for the 910f will work but unfortunately it will be sim locked to ee and probably region locked to Europe. You can pay ee or an online website for the sim unlock code but unless you plan to use a different sim there's no point
Thanks! I'm actually thinking of going for the Exynos version now. The reason I was asking is because I found a good price for it on Gumtree but still not sure if a locked Snapdragon Note 4 phone is the way to go..

Tbh I think most people would prefer the exynos but as most of us are getting it on contract we will end up with the snapdragon. The exynos may well be the better phone but with all us and most of Europe getting snapdragon that will probably be the most supported version.
What I will say I have yet to find an app I use that doesn't work on my 4 year old s2 so i very much doubt there will be anything in the next 2 years that the snapdragon can't handle with ease. Even the new nexus has a 32 bit snapdragon so google will not be pushing 64 bit any time soon

I still have a year left on my Vodafone contract so getting one off contract is still the better option for me. But despite that, the SM-N910X Snapdragon version that I played around with at the O2 store seemed to lag somewhat, which worried me. The Exynos versions that I've seen online and YouTube seems to be smoother in my opinion.
Also, I haven't been hearing complaints from Exynos Note 4 holders, they all say its smooth and lag free. From the people that are complaining about lag, most of them seem to be Snapdragon holders. Not to mention that the Exynos is better in most of the benchmarks. Just take a look at this comparison:

My ee upgrade arrives in the morning so will have a better idea. Twizz lags a bit on any device due to its design, i've seen one person complain about lag in several different posts tbh. It's your choice obviously and if you are spending a lot of money you should get the model that you actually want so for that reason exynos might be better but make sure you check which bands the device and your carrier are supporting or ot could be a waste of money. I really can't see anything with a 2.7g quad core processor lagging with anything, any games that lag will some be fixed with optimisation
What about buy it outright from the Sumsung store??
If it is still locked to a carrier, can I just unlock it by paying for an unlock code online?
Or it is still locked to the carrier's frequency or something even after the unlock??

The phone will not be locked to the carriers frequency, as already posted sim free won't be sim locked and any sim locked phone can be unlocked for a small fee. What can't be changed is the phone hardware. Whatever bands the phone has can't be changed, there are several thread's stating what bands each model supports so just make sure to get a model that supports the bands your carrier uses
Just for the record things like tap to pay won't work on a unlocked phone. I had a S4 and a G3 all unlocked none work. My Z2 did and that was locked

Can I ask what deal you got from EE? I'm going to push them for an early upgrade but not sure what deal I can squeeze out of them....

I haven't tried the Exynos. I have the 910F like you and its extremely fast. I suppose the Exynos is slightly faster but nothing to lose sleep over.
So the other day I was looking through my settings and saw that it says sm-n920c as the model number. But, on the backside of my phone it says it's a 920t. I bought this phone off of Amazon as a certified refurb a few months ago. Any help or ideas on how to put it on the right settings/firmware? And I have ATT as my service and I haven't had an issue with service.. the n920t is Tmobile correct? Would I lose any SIM unlock if one is applied?

May be they swaped 920c motherboard so don't rely on what it says on back of your phone, but if imei matches with what's on your back of the phone then probably you will have a 920t model with a os of 920c modified probably. Check if imei is mentioned matches with your phone. If no imei is stated or matches then as said above they might have swaped the 920c motherboard on a 920t mobile.
I checked and the imei doesn't match. Solves that question lol thanks!
So instead of buying on swappa, I found a $400 mint S10 . Seller gave me the IMEI so I thought I was all good. After 8+ hours of troubleshooting with both tracfone and verizon, I read the tiny print on the back, stating its a live demo 973xu, but the phone says its a sm-g973u ( already flashed??) . It has a clean IMEI, makes calls and texts and even Verizon said it's unlocked, however the 4G is 'grayed' out and no data. I've been searching and reading through the threads here and this has not been resolved. Any help please? Will flashing get my data to work? Is there anything else that can be done?
Thanks in advance
You can try flashing a firmware again while keeping the sim inside the phone.
Maybe it's a csc issue. Just a guess.

Live demo? The seller sold you a (probably stolen) demo unit that's used in stores. You're lucky that the IMEI is clean. I think the phone is using a demo firmware, if you flash it with normal sm-g973u firmware it should hopefully start working.

More like they took a demo phone then assigned it an imei and converted it into a U variant. If he was on LDU firmware it would show as an XU not a U as well as he'd have a whole lot more service related problems (I've tried g975X firm on my g975u and had no service at all and it couldnt even read my imei.)
I'd say you're lucky to have got most of it working lol.. they could have just as easily sold you a straight up LDU device with no imei lol
How come the buyer didnt try it with a working sim in it?
So here's more to the story, with a happy ending. Stopped by walmart and saw a kiosk that buys phones, I may get up to $150, screw that! So I listed it on ebay @$300 for parts/ not working and a guy named 'thekongofallunlocks' bought it and thought it was a S10 plus, then backed out. I asked him if he planned to fix or part it and he said he could get it working with a flash, so I came here, started learning to flash, then gave up when odin3 wouldn't connect to the phone AND many threads said it may be missing components like antennas as it's a demo. The a friend told me about a local shop in Wilkes Barre 'the king of kings' (WTF is with these kings and phones?). He said he can't flash either. One last try at the Video Game store up the street on South Main St in WB. There is a guy there that is really good that changes screens. He said it was previously a Tmobile phone, but it boots as a verizon, said the software was changed to sm-g973u, but the data setting were still on Tmobile, he manually imputed them and ,viola, it works! He wouldn't take anything but I left him a $50 on his bench. So bottom line, always read the fine print, and yes the Galaxy S10 Live Demo Phones do work. Thanks to all above who tried to help!

not sure how u get that live demo units work when in ur very own post you stated the guy told u it was a tmb phone booting as verizon and all he had to do was change the settings?
to me it sounds like u had a tmb g973u all along but didnt bother to check the settings and chng it to work on vzw?
confused...
The back of the phone says sm g973xu live demo unit, not for sale. The setting says sm g973u. Pretty sure the craigslist guy flashed it. The guy who fixed it said it was 100% on tmoblie, but the boot screen is verizon, and the sim I'm using is Verizon. I'm still confused too.
FYI, you got lucky then because most live demo phones aren't usable as anything but a wifi device if you manage to freeze and disable retail mode.
Here's a weird thing, I was at Walmart today and ran the meid on their demo S10+ 352687100958634. Comes up clean.

i have the same phone too it was sm-g973xu and now 973u and everything work fine and i have an official firmware G973USQU1ASD3 with ACTIVE CSC - XAA
i have only 1 problem that i didn't receive any OTA update some people say because i'm in belarus and it's not supported yet and others say that i can flash the phone with android 10 ROM but i'm afraid and i want to know which ROM will be good for my phone by the way it's Snapdragon Processor
S10 and above live demo units are easily repairable.
