Okay, I ordered me one from Amazon! Did have the AT&T Version. Its apparently going to be the German Version. Would I have any Issues with that being that im in the US?
None. I too have the German version and I use AT&T. Everything works nicely!
I've had the German version since mid December, on at&t, no issues at all.

Look at About Phone and see what model number it is.
But, it will work on ATT, you just will need APNs, which you can find. Or if you are on ICS, you might not need to put them in, because I didn't. ICS auto-populates APNs.

Yea I know what, What APN do you all use? the Wap.cingular or the HSPA+ one? Cause When I had my International One x, data was HORRIBLE using the wap.cingular one, and once I put in the HSPA+ one it was normal like my att note.
Also does it matter where it comes from? like flaws or anything ? Sorry I`m OCD haha

My APN is on wap.cingular right now. That is the one that is auto-populating and I haven't changed it. It's not terrible. ATT sucks, so it is hard to tell. Lol.
What HSPA+ APN are you talking about? PTA one is for LTE and since we don't have LTE that wouldn't do any good.

AFAIK its UBKK1 its from Brazil. I got the same when I bought mine.
Regards from Venezuela.
Basebands/modems can be changed so don't get too caught up with that. You have to try a modem that fits best for you and your carrier. I am on LP6 now, but I have tried a lot.

Is there a certain reason why you US guys buy the german Notes?
In my case I don't even live in the US, bought my Note on Amazon, seller didn't specify country of origen for the device nor did I ask, when I received my device started looking around and found out that acording with the device's firmware it came from Brazil.

Bought mine on eBay instead of buying from ATT with a contract.
Also, this note has a better processor than the ATT version.
Amazon seems to be selling them the ones from brazil. And fsgtrading is selling ones for germany. I got my note brand new for 440 brand new with over night.

I think mine is the germany one, but I'm not 100% sure and there is no way to tell right now since I'm on a cm9 build and have done too much to it. The N7000 came from certain countries and then the other international model came from like china, I think. And then of course, att model is US.

All Nexus One where bought from Google. The person you are buying it from bought it from Google.
But, presumably, the various network carriers may well have tweaked the rom. I guess that the only way to be sure of getting a pure vanilla phone is direct from Google? In which case time is running out...

i got mine from ebay. (uk) and its originally from america with a uk plug. No problems what so ever
Both versions of the Nexus are Vanilla UI. Unless the person you're buying it from rooted the phone and flashed a custom ROM. The question should be, is if both versions have GSM frequency band compatible with the network you're on right now.

If the Nexus you get from someone in the UK was bought from Vodafone, then it has a later Eclair build than the ones bought direct from Google, either EPF21b or EPF30 (EPF30 fixes the MMS resizing issue). Although it isn't Vodafone branded, it is different as it has some changes to make it more suitable on European networks I believe.
However, these phones will recieve their updates a bit later than ones bought direct from Google, as new builds need to be tested and approved by Vodafone before they allow Google to send them OTA (hence no Froyo OTA yet). Although, you can of course unlock the bootloader a flash a Stock US rom to get the latest updates or any rom you like.
So, it's about 9 months since I lost my N1, and I still miss it. I just haven't managed to fall in love with the iPhone 4 I got to replace it.
Mine was one of the original AMOLED ones shipped from Google when it first came out (ATT bands I think).
If I could still get a new one with AMOLED and the same bands I would.
Anyone know where I might be able to pick one up?
Best phone I ever had.
Thanks.
Google don't sell them anymore. If you want a N1 you will need to buy a used one.
good luck

I understand that the T-Mo version has its many advantages of having its unlocked bootloader, DEV support, SIM unlock, etc...
Price point aside, are there any major advantages/disadvantages between purchasing the T-Mo(N900T) or the Intl version (N9005)?
Every stat comparison seems to be similar, ROM support and all the freq bands are there.
Looking for some definitive answers from the community before spending big bucks on a new unit.

On my way to the T-MO store then. :fingers-crossed:
Just so I get this straight,
1. Purchase the N900T.
2. Purchase a $10 or $20 SIM card. (then insert it and use the phone) Required?
3. Bring it home and use the service on CellUnlocker.net
4. Wait for the unlock codes then ENJOY! (Change APN settings)
Optional;
Follow the rooting/recovery guides in the T-Mo thread.

Lol no worries. Just get the T-mobile version and you'll be just fine. I unlocked mine for cellunlocker.net ( well technically i havent unlocked it yet as i am waiting for my note 3 to be delivered but i got the unlock code ready to go).
I walked into a T-Mobile store day after they released the phone. Bought it full retail without purchasing a plan or a sim. Went home and unlocked it using cellunlocker. Now I am using it on AT&T with LTE. Also rooted and a custom rom is installed.

Thanks for the update on that. You did not have to put a T-Mo SIM first? I thought that was required for the region unlock issue?
How are the actual LTE speeds? Others have mentioned a drop in speeds due to AT&T not giving top priority to the T-Mo IMEI.

+1 on this question. How is the signal strength as well compared to a true AT&T phone in the same area?
Galaxy Note 3 Active
I was in the T-Mo store today looking at the Note 3. Ready and willing to go ahead and pull the trigger, then the rep says they are all out of the white one. They will have more in by the end of the week. Then mentions, they do have some at another store about 5 miles away though. He looks at me looking all disappointed and says, have you heard the rumor about the N3 active? No, I said. He says, if you can wait to get a new phone you might want to read up as it looks like Samsung is going to be going ahead with the release very soon.

It's because their stock of N900T's have been blacklisted by US carriers. Meaning they were obtained from the gray market. T-Mobile and AT&T have a database of IMEI's that are blocked from their network.
N900T vs N900A
I was reading the thread and was wondering why folks would prefer to buy the N900T vs N900A (especially when they are planning to use if for AT&T and will be required to unlock immediately)? Is there hardware/software advantages for the N900T over the N900A?
I'll add my 2 cents on this. I had originally purchased the T-Mobile variant (N900T) of the Note 3. I loaded up a custom rom and it was perfect. Shortly after that, I noticed my LTE signal (not HSPA) would be very low (-110dbm) in areas where my AT&T branded phones would sit on -94dbm. I flashed back to stock and noticed the same thing. Overall, LTE reception on band 17 on the N900T was very poor. Its probably because the N900T isn't optimized to use Band 17. Using the device with T-Mobile service, I had no LTE issues.
Now using the N900A for AT&T and get great LTE reception.
A buddy of mine has also noticed the TMO Note3 gets a lower reception when compared to my ATT note3. We are both on ATT as well.

Mt bad I didn't realize there was a difference between the i9305 and gt9305 sorry
No difference between them, but big difference between GT-I9305 and the American models (model numbers beginning with SCH or SGH). If you have an I9305, there is no way to flash it to a CDMA/3GPP2 network, such as Sprint or Cricket, as it's a GSM/3GPP phone. (3GPP and 3GPP2 are rival standards bodies, making deliberately incompatible standards.) CDMA requires completely different hardware from GSM.
If you have a Sprint or Verizon Galaxy S3 (both CDMA models), you can flash them to Cricket, but you should ask in the Sprint or Verizon forums, as we are not familiar with the CDMA Galaxy S3 versions.

Call Sprint (or whatever telecoms company you plan to use).
If the phone is not registered as stolen, then no problems.
If the phone is stolen, then report it to the police and eBay. You should get your money back via eBay and the thief will get nicked. It will stop the thief from selling anymore stolen phones via eBay - thus you are helping others.
I don't have insurance on my phone, so if it got stolen it would be at great expense to me. Also I have tracking software on mine, so I would be hunting the thief down.
